@MatheusLegenda It's been going on for a long time, and NOMAS actually HAS been standing in the way. They've been blocking campaigns to admit men to abuse shelters, and attempts to build male-only abuse shelters.

@loqutor Ok. Thanks. I had since responding to you, read an articled on AVFM that mentioned the amicus brief, but found no link. I agree that there should be centers for male victims. I'm not sure that men belong in a shelter for women though. Anyway, "he did not have legal standing to bring his current case against the shelters because when he called them, he was not an actual victim of violence seeking services." - Just trying to prove a point?

Finally, being a 'homo' is UR biz & NOT mine--keep it that way. U gays act all 'grossified' (wurd) when u see heteros being affectionate, yet, heteros are supposed to accept ur p.d.a.'s without hesitation nor distaste. Double-standards!! B.S.!! Also, u bandy about the phrase "homophobic" like it actually means something. It doesn't. It's used by 'gays' to tryyy to make weaker heteros feel like they've done something wrong when the hetero wishes to call B.S. on bad-behaviour perpetrated against heteros, by the gay community. It might also be homophobic (or at least heterosexist) in that it seems to assume that being homosexual (or being perceived as homosexual) is a bad thing. Having been part of the group of men who wrote the tenets, I can vouch that none of us promote violence against men by anyone. Down with patriarchy.
