Looks to be a good band. John Idan is perfect for filling Keith Relf's shoes...perhaps even a better singer (and plays bass too!). Ben King appears to be a very good guitarist, but he seems more of a hot-shot guitar teacher from the local guitar shop than someone to fill Clapton/Beck or Page's spot. Yes, he's doing all the parts right, but it just seems almost phoning it in. Uninspired & add the goofy faces & put on a collared shirt, at least! he dresses like a Jack Johnson/surfer wannabe : /
saw the Yardbirds/Zombies concert in Peterborough,last month. Was fantastic, wish Ben King would stop pulling stupid faces all the while, he looks in absolute agony, but he is a fab guitarist. Wish I could see the show again, was so good.
what a fantastic band are they. With now great young players, like Ben King, Billy Boy Miskimmin and the older menbers. Their last albums "Birdland" and "Live at the BB King Club" are fantastic.
years ago(1991) in london I use to see the Mcarthy band live at "station tavern pub" every wednesday with john Idan (bass player) on lead guitar great player.

Saw them the day before this show at the Rhythm Festival! They were fantastic! I recomend anyone to go and see them!
