  • take datsyuk over crosby any day of the week any month of the year

  • Dats the way Pavel check

  • Ugh, are people really thinking he left his feet on the first hit? Anyone who's ever played contact hockey knows that if someone's coming to hit you, the last thing you want to do it loose your footing.

  • The elbow to Robidas is very Konstantinov-esque. Best player in the NHL, period.

  • @parkourguy84 he didn't elbow robidas...

  • that just shows how explosive and powerful datsyuk really is

  • of balance that all

  • It really just looks like he lifts his inside leg, he doesn't jump

  • anyone else notice the hit on robidas that datsyuk went backwards because of the force? lol have to love datsyuk he does everything

  • @Chargersman77 you can't even see his feet, how can you say that, it looks like he launched off his left foot

  • @NHLArchive look at :11 seconds, you clearly see both his knees buckle from landing... case closed, i'm a datsyuk fan, and as i advised earlier, it wasn't a huge or significant jump.

  • @Chargersman77 you can leave your feet after contact you know, there is simply not enough evidence to show he jumped, you would have to see his feet.

  • @NHLArchive You know what, i totally agree with you, i just felt like from what i saw he left his feet, the more i hear it, i would have to see his feet. I'm completely aware of leaving your feet after the contact (reference brian campbell hitting RJ umberger)

regardless, i'd like to thank you for being able to have a clear debate without having to be a douche bag to get your point across. So hey, Agree to disagree?

  • @Chargersman77 You're retarded

  • @xDanglesx go home tough guy

  • @Chargersman77 Retard

  • @xDanglesx you got me, nice, your intelligence is just blinding me, stop, please. just stop.

  • @Chargersman77 Retard

  • @Chargersman77 just that you're a datsyuk fan doesnt make you all knowing. maybe he jumped maybe he didnt, you cant see.

  • @EliasJordan3 I agree... I've said that in previous comments..

  • @Chargersman77 If he had left his feet after leaving his left foot, datsyuk would have been sent flying... he pushed off his left foot and into the oncoming attempted run at him.

  • @Chargersman77 He didn't jump..he did the exact same thing he did on the Robidas hit..he pushes off with one foot. You can see both his knees buckle after the hit? You do realize that, about 90% of the time a hit in nhl results in someones knees buckling because the momentum and the aggressiveness of the hit usually sends both players into the air..

  • @Chargersman77

Wow how the hell can you see through the boards. Wall hacker .... and in the words of the GZA "You need to protect your f'n neck!" .. he expected the hit and reacted quicker leaving atleast one skate on the ice.

  • @kiker0909 you guys are all pathetic, i'm saying my opinion states that I believe he jumped, it shouldn't have mattered for the four inches and 25lbs seabs has on him. Now shut up and leave me alone... fuck

  • @Chargersman77 youre allowed to jump when abosrbing a hit

  • @Chargersman77 I dont think he jumped. I think what you see when his knees buckle is him first getting set then exploding with power. I think thats just strength .

  • @BDesrosiers21 Perhaps, we'll never know.

  • @Chargersman77 he doesn't jump at all.

  • @bishoppx Explain how come you see the bottom of his breezers above the dasher of the boards AND fill up with air just as his knees buckle

  • @Chargersman77 breezers? fill up with air? lmao, they wouldn't fill up with air regardless.. all you're seeing is them moving when contact is made because they have a plastic lining.

  • @bishoppx i'm just going to stop caring...

  • @Chargersman77 probably because you're wrong...

  • @bishoppx Or...because i don't give a fuck? look at the comment NHLArchive sent me... "Simply not enough evidence to show he jumped," No one here is right.. And as i've stated, one.) I'm a datsyuk fan. two.) I've stated It's MY opinion.. You didn't have to respond.. Realize this is an opinion buddy and stop being a datsyuk dick rider...

Okay that last statement was mean.

  • @Chargersman77 "but he seriously jumped on that" seems like a pretty blunt statement. nothing of opinion there. but whatever, i couldn't really care less.

  • @Chargersman77 makes you... datsyukian dumbass?

  • @Chargersman77 Hes not even in motion when seabrook comes at him so if he wouldve jumped before the hit he wouldve been de one falling on his butt. He transfered his balance towards Seabrook and thats why his feet went up during and AFTER the hit.

  • @Zodiak34 I understand your "physics" viewpoint on this, but to say he wasn't even in motion when seabs came to him, just makes you look like you're uneducated.

  • @Chargersman77 cant you see him brake before seabrook hits him?

  • something that goes unnoticed here is Datsyuk has skill yes we know that , hes fast yes we know that BUTTTTTTTTTTT hes very very strong on the puck and stable , you look at that last check see him get ready and set. plus if you look at the playoffs and see marleau trying to check him .. be it marleau but still it takes strength too to be able to keep the puck.

  • kudos to datsyuk....one of the best players right now and maybe of all time. and im a hawks fan....

  • Knocking down a bigger guy, from a standstill? Impressive.

  • The majority of the pavel datsyuk fans are not Detroit fans!

  • In both instances here, I think we're seeing a simple display of respect to the master on the part of Seabrook and Robidas (i.e. by not running him).

And then getting their asses handed back to them.

Hopefully they've learned their lessons for their gallantry.

  • Definition of Datsyuk: awesome stick handler and very good all around player who also occasionally will throw a few checks. He is such a fun player to watch and I honestly think he is far more greater then Crosby and Ovechkin.

  • fcuk you datsyuk stop fucking checking and show me a sexy dangle

  • @Thesenator64 lmao

  • @Thesenator64

    Well played sir....

  • Pavel is a freak. Being such a sneaky bastard is what makes him so dangerous. No one expects him to throw hits, and when he does, it always a big one. Same goes for his offensive and defensive play, he's the best in the game today.

    GO WINGS!

  • lol pav rocks!! what can't he do??!

  • Notice how Pavel tucks his elbows when he delivers both checks. He is one of the cleanest players in the league. I love european style players.. they dont play like Matt Cooke (who is doing his best to ruin the game we all love)

  • @piratebri Please don't judge North American players by Matt the rat cooke. Everyone knows Canadian hockey is the only way to play the game. I am a wings fan and the reason Datsyuk and Z are so good both ways is because if you don't play both ends of the ice you don't play in Motown and you don't win cups.

  • Datsyuk did this "cold shoulder" move a lot in his early years. You don't see it too often now as guys have learned not to take runs at him. But it's fun to watch.

  • Pavel >crosby and ovechqueer. Got my #13 Jersey waiting on playoffs to begin :D

  • The only player I would pay to see play. Skill, humility, class. In my opinion, best player on the ice in the NHL.

  • i love doing that to people..

  • I'd take datsyuk over anyone in the league, obviously the most skillful players, both defensively and offensively. Also an incredible team player

  • @DawgYoDawg Pure Class thats what the Wings stand for!

  • Ovi fo sho. I no Crosby is putting ip more points but ovi is still my choice. He bigger stronger and just As fast.

  • People always tend to underlook Pavel, till he decks them or undress there gear before a goal or pass.

  • Datsyuk is strong like Russian Bear.

  • There's nothing this guy can't do. Best player in the NHL.

  • datsyuk can do it all. completely leveled robidas

  • HAHAHA Datsyuk is too sick!!

  • Dont fuck with Datsyuk, Dastyuk just says gets the fuck off me haha

  • i seen him do these kinda hits on hordichuk, clowe, malone, orpik.

  • Datsyuk is arguably the most complete player in the game right now. Those were good clean hits, and we all know what he can do one-on-one or on breakaways. Not a Wings fan, but enjoy watching this guy play.

  • @TheRealDerfMan I agree, Datsyuk is my favourite player and is arguably the most complete player in the nhl but, if i had to choose, I would probably take ovi over him just for the points he puts up. Fun player to watch anyway.

  • @redwingss77 ....would you take Ovi over Crosby...? Just curious....

  • @TheRealDerfMan well a few months ago i would say ovi over crosby because of the points he puts up but ive always liked crosby better because he is a great team player. This season Crosby is just ranking up the points while ovi and the caps arent producing as much as they should or expected to. So right now i would tae crosby over ovi. I also feel crosby is a way better player in the playoffs than ovi.. when the caps ae losing ovi trys to do to much by himself.

  • @TheRealDerfMan but a lifetime wings fan

  • beautiful hit on robidas.

  • it seems like datsyuk never gets knocked on his ass... he either wiggles his way out like fucking gumby or does this lol

  • @scottj19x89 lmao at the gumby part

  • I hate the red wings but wow is datsyuk a fun player to watch. From the way he stickhandles, his ability to stick lift and even his checking everything about his game is unique.

  • Datsyuk is beast. Did the same thing to Clowe too

  • a datsyukian check.
