The steel framed McCormick Center in Chicago was at the time the World's largest exhibition center, it collapsed due to fire and in 30 mins. And there are others like the Alexis Nihon Plaza Montreal, Canada, partial collapse. In the Madrid Towers the steel parts of the building did collapse leaving only the concrete encased core standing. The WTC was only the biggest but not the only. Try being more informed next time.

You do know there was more than jet fuel in those buildings, tons of plastic which burns very hot. And the buildings took 18 to 25 seconds to collapse completely, far from free fall. Controlled demolitions do not create molten steel as you claim. Maybe time to go back to a BETTER school.

There are two factors in play here Material Properties and Thermodynamics. The system would be best modelled by a Mechanical or Chemical Engineer rather than an Architecht. It may have relevance at a later stage of the Modelling however first it must be established if the fuelsl available could create the temperatures required. Which they can't not even close.

The steel framed McCormick Center in Chicago was at the time the World's largest exhibition center, it collapsed due to fire and in 30 mins. And there are others like the Alexis Nihon Plaza Montreal, Canada, partial collapse. In the Madrid Towers the steel parts of the building did collapse leaving only the concrete encased core standing. The WTC was only the biggest but not the only. Try being more informed next time.

My education? 1st Class Honors degree Chemical Engineering. In those conditions there is no chance that a Jet fuel fire could create any where near the temperatures necessary to alter material properties of structural steel in the manner you suggest. Especially as they were as you say fire proofed. Tthey fell at near free fall there are severed columns, molten metal has been tested and shown to be consistent with demo cut by-products. All of these things are coincidence? Dream on!

You do know there was more than jet fuel in those buildings, tons of plastic which burns very hot. And the buildings took 18 to 25 seconds to collapse completely, far from free fall. Controlled demolitions do not create molten steel as you claim. Maybe time to go back to a BETTER school.

You may have a point: not steel, actually the by-products of the thermite reaction would explain the orange glow of the molten streams seen on raw footage pouring from the towers. Unless you are arguing that molten Aluminium glows orange? Any hydrocarbon fire would still be unable to create the temperatures necessary in those conditions. That can burn at temperatures far higher than a hydrocarbon fire. That could certainly lift temperatures enough to alter the load capacity of the steel girders.. What better substance to use? Than one that will do the job of a controlled demolition without it actually appearing a controlled demolition. When you can't hide the truth you create controversy.

IF... you were informed on the subject as I am, you would know controlled demolition involve using cutting charges. These cut steel beams, NOT melt them. Using thermite would be stupid because of the amount required and the fact there is no way to use it on vertical beams. Given the impact damage from the planes which, among other things, removed much of the fireproofing that had been put there for a specific purpose, and given the fact that the those fires burned uncontrolled, yes. Of course.

Which is a fairly standard criteria I have come across many times whislt working as Risk and Consequence sector. In this case there was an additional safety measure, yet you propse that: Now all this safety design failed in the same way and produced the same results. Purely by coincidence "uncertain outcome"?

Well indeed the specific purpose for fireproofing those beams would be based on a Consequence evaluation rather than a Risk evaluation. Whilst it is highly improbable that a fire could occur that was capable of alter the load capacity significantly the consequences would be catasthropic. From a legal perspective in the case of such event it is important to have taken precautions. This is very common practice in the safety industry.

Please send me a video which shows molten steel. I've seen evidence of molten aluminum but not steel. I've seen firefighters reference "flowing channels of metal" but those guys aren't metallurgists. I saw a claim of a giant hunk of cooled steel but it turned out to be compressed debris. My mind is open, is yours?
