This was the first broadway show I ever saw last year to our feilwd trip to new your... it was an EPIC! My favorite part was when Huey Calhoun is advertising beer and says "It'll make the babies stand up in their diapers and scream 'I BELIEVE! I BELIEVE!'" HOKADOO!!!... I got that shirt...
From the moment I saw this show back in Dec 2009 in NY I knew it would be at the TONY"S,,,,, and now it has just won the Tony for BEST MUSICAL and 3 other Tony's..... Chad and Montago were robbed,,,,,,,,, But BEST MUSICAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
I love my hometown Memphis, TN. I just cant wait until they come to Memphis to do the show! I have heard so many good things about this broadway show!
@rblack04 I know. :) And Huey is one of the most lovable characters I've ever seen. :) I just love making fun of his cloths because they SOOO silly. :) But that's the point I think
This has got to be one of my three favorite broadway musicals of all time. The music is really good and the lead actor, Chad Kimball is amazing. I highly recommend you go see it if your in NY.
Just came back from NYC, saw Memphis....completly breathtaking!!!! I sat at the edge of my seat the whole, the only bad thing was when it ended. I wanted it to just keep going, it was that amazing!!
WOWOWOW. This show is great! Was in the Shubert Saturday night and they blew the house away. Can not wait till the Tony Awards. "Can't be what I can't be." Great line. Hit home......
I saw this in NY on broadway.. The clips give a pretty good Idea of whats in the show.. Loved the New Origina musical.. a serious subject seen from individuals perspective.. instead of the larger civil rights picture. Real world issues that they had to deal with.. We laughed, we gasped, and we cried.. If I didn't live 1000 miles away I'd be going again next weekend.
I really loved and enjoyed the show and I'm goin to see it again Thursday

Never before in my life have I seen a character as loveable as Huey Calhoun.
He is truely brought to life by Chad Kimball!
I just saw this show last week in Manhattan on vacation and I came out singing its songs and praises!
