@jsilence418 No, most of the other episodes were brilliantly written and superbly acted by both Milner and Maharis (who was SOOOO pleasant to look at, IMO!), as well as the many guest stars who are now major film or television stars! This episode was NOT representative of the entire series, thank goodness; this is the first time I've seen it, and I wasn't overly impressed with the writing OR the acting------and we didn't get to see enough of George Maharis!
Lorre never actually played a monster, so I assume he's dressed up as Dracula here. It is pretty logical. What else could they do? Put an "M" on Lorre's shoulder? lol
hey thanks for posting this old classic tv bit. I seen it originally halloween 1964 and now halloween 2010 almost half a centrury later. route 66 aired on friday nights back then so I watched it friday this time too. last time karloff and chaney, donned the makeup they made Immortal.
wow..thank you so much for posting this.i have never seen it before,i had only ever seen photos and read about it.its quite touching to see the original horror maestros playing their most famous roles one last time.
I see Captain Janeway is leading the female convention.

When I was a teenager this show made me want a Vette so bad my teeth ached. Never got one but I did manage a Square Bird. Sigh.

This show is corny and sexist as hell, but it's good to see the old heroes turn in a solid performance.

Thanks for posting this. Once I found out that Lon Chaney Jr. and Boris Karloff appeared in their monster makeup, I just had to see it.
It's a shame it wasn't the original makeup, but it was still great to see them again. Thanks!
