Believe it or not, he didnt die. There was a star wras comic that showed how he died. It turns out he gets droid legs, tracks down obi wan who is staying with owen and beru lars and tries to kill him. He fights obi-wan but he dies when his head is literally shot off by Owen Lar's damaged blaster.

I don't get it how come in Empire Strikes Back Obi-Wan says Yoda was his master but in Episode 1 Qui Gon Jinn is? Unless Obi-Wan still needed training after Qui Gon died and then Yoda became Obi-Wan's new master to finish his training?

btw: Darth Maul seems to be a very good fighter. Its interesting, that Obi-Wan couldn't defeat Count Dooku, but Darth Maul. Imho Maul is using the force more elegant than Dooku with his force lightnings... Really, I would like to hear other opinions
