@Thegoldstarman What an earth do you mean? I was there being around 10 when this came out and sure it put some other guys of my age to tap their toes. Why wouldn't it do the same today as well. Unfortunately it takes there are no so called "cool" guys to tell what is good and what's not. I have played records to small kids outside the MTV shit and sure it can get them going like it did back then :)

Coles are pathetic - all they do are rip off old UK 60s songs and alter the lyrics to avoid paying royalties. They did the exact same thing in 2006 with The Hollies "Just one Touch", but changed it to "Just one Bite". This was to launch their "You'll love Coles" in-house brand.

@JSavic As an Australian who was 15 years old when this song came out, it is my recollection that the most thoughtful and serious of my female contemporaries were into Pink Floyd at the time, the least serious and thoughtful were besotted with the Bay City Rollers, and those in between were big on our local bands Sherbet and Skyhooks. Quo's Australian fan base at the time were very much working class and lower middle class males.

What do you mean "they are all the same" ? They are far from the original line up, if that's what you meant! :-) Basicly just Parfitt and Rossi that's left. Coghlan (drummer) left in the early 80s I think and the same with Lancaster, a few years later though. They even had a brief break-up! Fortunately they got back together but I don't think Coghlan and Lancaster has played with Rossi and Parfitt since! A shame about Lancaster..

Of course they broke up.. John Coghlan left... Alan Lancaster was unceremoniously dumped... Biggest mistake they (Rossi) ever made. Who knows how high they'd have climbed if they hadn't pissed off so many fans of the Frantic Four.. What a fekkin waste.

'Disco' was the German equivalent of something like 'Solid Gold' in the US or 'Top of the Pops' in the UK. You'd see whatever was in the charts, from pop to heavy rock to disco. And Quo was huge all over Europe in the mid 70's. They turned me into a headbanger in grade school before AC/DC and then the NWOBHM took over.
