The reason 'Dinosaurs' aren't mentioned in the Quran is because the word 'Dinosaur' was invented about 200 years ago. The Quran as we all know was revealed 1400 years ago. The Quran mentions Creatures and Beasts, which encompasses all types of animals and the like. Allah knows best.

For me another proof of Islam being the truth is that there is not a single fact in the Quran that people have managed to prove wrong. It is a blessing for all humanity, not only Muslims, so I really wish all people to benefit from it and turn into Muslims before they die.

By the way Muslims means people who accept Islam. And Islam means "Peace acquired by submitting your will to Almighty God". Hence all previous Prophets and Messengers were Muslims (Adam, Abraham, David, Salomon, Moses, Jesus, Mohammed - Peace be on all of them) because they submitted their will to God.

The qur'an does not mention about other animals such as lion's, tigers and kangeroos etc by name, it doesnt mean that they dont exist. The quran is not an encyclopedia of all creatures. The qur'an is a book of guidance sent down for mankind. So please dont comment on islam without having any knowledge on the religion. You should read the quran to obtain a better understanding of islam.

Just thought that a talk about the proof that Islam is the truth from historical facts might have mentioned something really interesting like dinosaurs! the reason why the quran don't mention dinosaurs is because it doesn't benefit us a least , bit. like my brother said its a book of guidance and morals not science or history . if you are looking for proof there is enough in there to convince you.but only if you are a person of reason that is .

First of all the quran is not a science text book. To talk about dinosours would be of no spiritual benefit. In my humble speculation Quran CH 2 V 30 refers to your question "And when your Lord said to the angels, I am going to place in the earth a khalif, they said: What! wilt Thou place in it such as shall make mischief in it and shed blood, and we celebrate Thy praise and extol Thy holiness? He said: Surely I know what you do not know."

So based on [2:30], it could be understood that their could of possibly been creatures which inhabited the earth prior to Adams descent. Based on the verse of "make mischief in it and shed blood", it can be seen that the attributes are associated with the animalistic instinct, which leads to the possible understanding that the creatures that existed must of been vicious animals of one form or another.
