Efimova REALLY needs to work on her finishes. If she glided in, and didn't do that extra stroke she would have done a 1:05.2 or even .1

I noticed that Soni made her stroke rate a little faster. her first 50 in this final she did 23 strokes but in the semi, she did 22 strokes, and in the second 50 in this final she did 25 strokes and in the semi she did 24 strokes, she probably would have done better if she slowed it down a little bit. probably. that's what i think.

i think that's the reason that she won.. sure she lost some efficiency, but the 100 isn't about efficiency.

I wonder how Soni, Hardy and Pierse will go next year with the tech suit bans. Leisel Jones will be back and unlike the aforementioned, her best times were swum in textile suits.

Yea, but even with Leisel using the LZR suit didn't beat her own PB in her 100 breast. (1:05.09) back in 2006, and Leisel swam a 1:05.17 and the Olympics last year, and Annamay broke Leisel's 200m SC breaststroke World Record with the LZR, not the Jaked, or X-Gilder Arena.

The suits help some more than others, IMO. It certainly helped Soni and Hardy go from 1:06 to 1:04. Then you have others like Freeman come out of nowhere and swim 1:05 low. I don't think technology helped Leisel as much as it did other swimmers. We will see what happens next year, and if theothers can replicate Leisel's times in textile then there won't be any question marks.
