@eduvg16 First off punk bands never last, they always fight, break up, reform with a partial form who get shit for trying to revive it, and red hot chili peppers aren't that bad. MTV is the one to blame for ruining bands, the bands have no control over where their music is played once they are signed that is up to management, the record company they are signed to and whoever pays to have them....they can refuse to perform live to boycott it but that is about it.

Brody HAD to stop singing like she did in The Distillers because if she had carried on, she wouldn't have a voice AT ALL now. She done serious damage to her vocal cords, from years of untrained screaming, and she started to take vocal lessions-To teach her how not to ruin her vocal cords. @RenzXVI I actually prefer Spinnerette over The Distillers; it feels to me as if it showcases Brody's talent more, like they aren't burying her under guitar lines and heavy drums. She has a fantastic voice, and this really lets her come out and shine.

Please help spin Fans I am in a female fronted punk band named Hey You and could really use some input and over all awareness of our music video "Taking Over." Our music has been described as 90's era punk which is fine with us seeing that a lot of our favorite bands come from that time.
We are based out of Los Angeles and play a ton of shows in the area so give a listen to the tunes and if you like it well get you into some shows on us.
Hearing this song on XM got me to pick up the Album. Holy hell it is amazing. I haven't stopped listening to it daily in months. Can't wait for the next one plus a Tour I hope.

FOR THE HATERS: i know some of you might prefer The Distillers but you all should learn how to appreciate her talent as it is, she might've changed her music but she is still a great musician and this is pretty sweet music... and i am not a biased person when it comes to this type of music, my music preference is Black Metal and Death Metal but i explore Punk and Alternative genres too... I love Music and i don't care what kinds of genres i start appreciating, Good Music is Good Music...

@RenzXVI I actually prefer Spinnerette over The Distillers; it feels to me as if it showcases Brody's talent more, like they aren't burying her under guitar lines and heavy drums. She has a fantastic voice, and this really lets her come out and shine.

@RenzXVI Humankind is not lost when we found someone with brains and open minded :) My tastes are on grind, death, thrash,crust but i love hardcore, punk and other things. And maybe shes doing what she feels she needs to do right now, maybe she has more influences and tastes than punk...its not my favourite thing this but, its ok, it sounds cool to my ears :)

@MattyTheMole I'll give you that; City of Angels was more radio-friendly than most of the other Distillers stuff, but she didn't 'burn her bridge' with Hellcat Records; she divorced one of the guys who runs it, Tim Armstrong. Whether she cheated on him or whatever, they're no longer together and that would be an uncomfortable union, don't you think?
