Smoking, though the tendency to smoke is occasionally genetic, is a choice. Anorexia is not. Even being bulimic is not a choice because the disorder lead them to inducing themselves to throw up. Like people with OCD (which I have), we know the compulsions are irrational, but to an extent they are not. We know it's irrational, but can't help it.

Believe me, Smoking saved my life.

I was on my way to board a train, The train was scheduled departure time 18:30 from station. I was already late, I had started from home at 18:00 and the journey time was around 35 minutes. But still I stopped for a smoke just outside the station and missed the train. The train later went on to have an head on collision with another train and all the people in my coach of the train were killed except for some 3 survivors.
