Wow, Paul was a PUNK! I was too young for the original storyline, but I was watched when April came back... around '93? I thought Cynthia Eilbacher was great as April and thought they should have kept her around longer. Anyway, I'm glad that Heather gave Paul such a hard time when she came back!

My favorite story of Paul and April, I remember it to be Christmas 1979 and the summer of 1980.

This flashback, I'd say would have to be somewhere between 1979 to 1981. Because Paul did step up and try to be Heather's father but it all proved to be too much for Paul. Then in 1982, April and Heather moved away and Heather was still too young to have memories of Paul. Everytime after that, when Paul saw Heather, he hoped that when she looked at him she would remember him and the few times that he held her and rocked her to sleep, but she didn't.

@pytko3 Yeah, your timeline seems to be about right. I used to watch Y&R in the late 70's/early 80's. It was April's rich-bitch conniving twin sister, Barbara who ended up luring April out of town. Loved to hate Barbara....even though she was on for a very short time. :(

Y&R is the best at showing flashbacks. Besides DAYS, not many other shows ever do flashbacks.

When Paul was a teenager, he was most interested in having a fun time with girls, especially Nikki. When he thought he lost Nikki, he had sex with April. He ended up getting April pregnant and he didn't step up like he should have. He married April and tried raising Heather with her, but it proved to be too much for Paul to handle because he was so young. They both agreed it would be best if Heather was raised without him. April moved to NYC with Heather but Paul got updates every now and then.
