"Wow" is all that one can really say, after watching this. I can't believe I had never seen/heard of this particular game, until now. That is, far and away, *the* most violent weather I've ever seen at a baseball game, on TV, on home video, or in person. From what I understand, they actually went on to later finish the game against the Braves that evening!
I remeber this day. I was over in Granite City playing baseball for my rec leauge team and I remeber this so clearly, it was like everything stopped for a second, the wind, the air nothing was moving, half of the sky was already dark, the other half was clear then suddnelt starts pouring out of nowhere, lighting hail, wind was crazy.
I was at this game and I remember this was the most insane thing I've seen in my life! The 80 mph winds were blowing shit everywhere and even almost blew some girls away right out of the stadium. Cards won though!
