cutting fruit with a "fake" display katana doesn't seem like a good idea man. Those blades are known to fly out of the hilt and turn into a ballistic knife.
@aznricecannon thanks for looking out for me but its not some dodgy 100 dollar display sword with acid etched hamon and tiny tang. Its a half tang sword (blade extends past hilt half way into the handle) with authentic oil tempered hamon. The weight isnt balanced perfectly i admit as it IS primarily a display katana but the sword is more than capable of slicing Bamboo and random objects without flying into someones face. It's one of the gazzillion swords made in Toledo Spain.
Ah. As long as there is some tang. lol. with my experience, anything about $20 USD has like no tang at all seen one horrific incident when the blade flew out as a projectile because the "rat tang" snapped
