  • True song for the recent uprising. Sad...

For the Youruba language at 4:13

"O ma se, O ma se

O ma se, O ma se

Ilu ta gbe ta ti n gbadun tele

lawa d' eni to toro je"

    Translates to:

"Its a pity, Its a pity.

the country that once basked in abundance,

    now we are beggars"

  • dollar na 165 now..nothing don happen..SADD

  • honestly this song is making alot of sense , Food is the cheapest thing in europe and shelter but in nigeria to eat good food you most be rich too bad, see protest and this stupid politicians come uk to watch EPL i swear i saw one in stadium u wont believe it,

  • They dislike it because Eldee did not show or talk about money, cars and girls..

  • how on earth can someone dislike this song??? your dad must be one of those stealing our money that y u dislike this song.kmt

  • this music is enough to bring nigerians into militancy, lol. the music is very true.

  • stop commenting here, take a bazuka and go and comment in aso rock if You re a man

  • @TheDavidedmond You are right Mr David.. Nigerians are cowards and only shows There strength outside there country and inside nigeria they are just like dead and dumb

  • @TheDavidedmond chill ok nt all nigerians are d same wi jst hav a majority of selfish bastards in dat country............even mi am nt all dat happi wit evertin bhut remember good things start to happen we yu appreciate wat yu hav first ( Gov. Fashola n sum others)

  • we cant take this no more, revolution will be the answer to nigeria problem.

  • I DON LOOK FOR THIS MUSIC 4 A LONG TIME.

TELLL THEM, WE ARE NOT BLIND.

  • yeah... Like the video One Day, this makes me angry and sad...

  • some people should listen to a song before they like or dislike..its not the best music but that message is authentic as a new day!!!

  • i fell so sad

  • Im from Slovenia the Country in midlle Europe, i dont speak Nigerian language but i understand every single word on this track.

LOVE This song , keep up Eldee and Nigeria !

  • they can see but can't do anything to help the situation

  • classic tune wonderFul one

  • REVOLUTION IS WHAT NAIJA NEED IF DEMOCRATIC CONSOLIDATION CANT BE ACHIEVED......

  • I couldnt say it any better Eldeee!...so I wont try..

  • Thanks! Interesting song.

  • To those outside the country.. Lets all go back home and change the system. Its just too sad. I'll go back after school. If we all just keep watching from here, things no go better for Naija. There is still hope!

  • @0011223344551 first start am we go come join you

  • I GO YARN OHHH!!

  • I strongly believe the definite change we pray for will come from those who have left the country for obvious reasons. Those educated from developed countries who have experienced and observed efficient management of resources, and the dedication to the well being of the common citizen will be the ones to make it happen. Unfortunately some are giving up hope.

  • @y384 U re so right, ''Those who will free their people from slavery must not be slaves themselves, they must be free men'' . Nigerians inDiaspora have a huge role to play in Helping Nigeria out of its mess,Thts why it saddens me when I see Nigerians inDiaspora refusing to come back home to Nigeria, U cant Effect change from Outside , u need to be in to effect change.

We must think beyond just going Back home to Invest or Live a good life ,we must look to taking over goverment legitimately

  • the problem in nigeria is the mentality. When corruption was in its infant stage back then in the political arena the successors of the previous government officials believed they must get their own portion. This mentality has caused a ripple affect that has penetrated the nigerian society. Citizens look to the government to foster order, social equity, and social and economic development. If they see corruption the is no trust, they will do their own.

  • nice yarnnnnnnn!!! we all by your side...

  • Nobody wants to die but everyone wants to go to Heaven...It means we have to fight to remove the so called bad leaders with whatever means we can..which may require some of those bad leaders fighting back and eventually some of us dying..but they cant defeat us if we stand together..We need to stop calling God to come fight our battle, because he has given us enough weapons for the battle..look at our educated youths loitering about..look at our farm lands wastin..Like they say ONLY GOD CAN HELP

  • me self go yearn

  • this song make me feel sorry for my people....eldee is a Nigerian hero.....

  • his songs make me just wanna help my country

  • Nice music bro, the Nigeria so called leader within the corridor of power should all have there heads examined, soonest it will all come to an end, we shall definitely give them what they all deserve. Please sing more on Nigeria issue, keep it up bro

  • if common ukraine fit get 24hrs light den na wetin dey happen 9ja?

  • the word "poverty" shld not exit in the 9jerian dictionary if only we knew our potentials. our foreign consulates abroad are meant to be over crowded people seeking 9jerian visas daily if only we had the right govt to transform our enormous state wealth into high standards of living for its citizenery. If a country as poor as the Ukraine can have housing, water, light all year round for the poorest of the poor then wetin dey happen 9ja?

  • ANOTHER SOLID MAN

  • this video is a wake up call for we Nigerians,i'm tired of staying outside & nigeria itself is not a going place for now......it's only God that can save us from our Bad Leaders bcos they are still the same set of People rulling us since we gained Independence from Britain,it was just revolving around them,it's only God intervention that can lead us thru..........Eko Onibaje,100% gbosa for SAN Batunde Raji Fashola, more grease to ur elbow.

  • true say

  • omg..Eldee just won my heart with this won...i dont usually cry cos of songs but this sure brought tears to my eyes...Some of us shld be grateful for the little we have and seek ways to help others out..soo touching

  • beautiful

  • i dey cry for my country, even malaysia self, their citizen is more comfortable to compare nigeria, sometimes we nigerian ask ourselves which day our own country go be like this, even na gud road, electricity, hospital, and gud water and housing no more we ask.

  • broda u make me cry for listening and watching this song, imagine bad govt of nigeria

  • very excellent song and video by eldee. i also believe the solution to nigeria's problem isn't rocket science at all and i hope to be one of the people to change nigeria for the better

  • Nigeria has no business being a poor nation. Our leaders past and present failed us woefully. Makes me very angry. They've forced most of us to remain in the western world dreaming of returning to Naija.

  • This makes me feel useless & i wnna step up!!!!!!

  • @3689powerman I feel the same way all the time dude, we need to work together. Our youths really need to get together and do something. We need to take our stand in this world!!!!!!! :@

  • I have no words for this....

  • I have no words for this...

  • this should be in mtv

  • very nice guy.

  • This is so true.......... Its very sad and deep

  • wat d heck is debotoc and all d critics saying?LD aint comparing naija to u.s, hes just making his own view heard and understable for pple who dont understand d msg behind lyrics by comparing naija to u.s. Yet u query! ish!

  • yarn yarn yarn yarn yarn yarn .... i go come i go yarn too , make dem no...

  • These songs don't attack the problem and put the real problem in perspective. It's overarching and general. If you speak like you are in it for helping people then you have put things into an historical, political and economic context. Eldee I feel you but do your research and understand that Africa cannot follow the footsteps of U.S. to sustain itself. People do your research and understand our history and realize it has to do with more than just politicians. There is alot to it.

  • a lot like what? before you start quoting ancient history of colonialism and 400 years of slavery please realize that this is NOW. we are already here and we need to make the best out of the situation. no context can justify the injustice of greedy politicians and leaders.

  • this makes me cry. african leaders r just chopping all our money and making people starve...bloody nonsense.

  • This video makes me really sad.Speak your mind eldee!

  • im diggin this song

  • WE PUT SATELITE FOR SPACE, BUT WE NO GET LIGHT.......

    I dey feel u broda,,,

Is the same shit in Albania, dem dey make us KOLO...

WE CANT TAKE DIS NO MORE.........

Much Love from Albanian DJ in Athens-Greece

  • Nice song. definatly d truth.

  • i just pray that the new generation can be better than those assholes. so that we can teach them how to love a country. the most annoying part is that those morons travel out always so they know that they are raping the country and its future. nice contribution eldee.

  • Thanks eldee for this contribution. even though the problem is not with us the listeners but the leaders who are mostly dumbs and won't have time to listen to this song . all what they invest their time in is lootting the treasuries of the nation , diverting it to foreign accounts , organizing bash here and there for themselves and their allieds to lavish the money which they don't know how to spend anymore as it has grown and overflowing in their numerous accounts.

  • Fellow Africans, why do so many of us curse the effect but nourish the cause? For it says: "As long as you keep a person down, some part of you has to be down there to hold him down, so it means you cannot soar as you otherwise might." ~ Marian Anderson.

That's the problem in our leadership, all over Africa.

I cry for Africa, and for my Country, Nigeria.

"He that would have fruit must climb the tree"

  • I pray to God, to be part of that 'Save Africa' Party(ies), from which our 'Moses' leaders will emerge, as it was in Egypt. ~ Barnabas (dBARRY)

  • na true yan be that bro. them think say we no get sense but make me yan you.....we get sense pass them but them dom form frat and still dey initiate their pikin dem . they no wan stop. the evil dey sweet dem. like phero, them hearts no know God and them no get compassion. phero even better pass them sake of say him dey only dey bad to the Isrealites cos them be slaves. but we na pure 9ja as such, we no deserve this.

  • true my bro..lyf abroad is better no much talk..i pray 4 my homeboyz down there...

Fans listen to 2face Go down There ft sway

  • Eldee, pls keep yarning...i will yarn in my own little way. if we all yarn, speak out and act, our condition in Nigeria will be better. Nice song...thumbs up!

  • Broda na true ooooooooh. Make you tell them. but na that monkey when leave office last year na him follow couse am. God please help 9ja. anyway i still miss 9ja.

  • Omg!! true story!!

Great job with this, love the message behind d song...

    Keep doing ur thing!

  • Nice! And i must say... He is handsome . :3)

  • i love his guy words though....

  • the best contemporary video ever ...if only nigerian leaders can learn...been in Uk 4months & i hate nigerian leader every waking hour

  • Guy! I feel u Eldee! U really speak ur mind 4 dis video. I luv u men! Na ur craze sweet pass! Continue 2 speak ur mind jare! We need more 9ja pple like you! Ride on!

  • yea one day

the world can see the beauty of Nigeria

God will shine us our way

  • El Dee has yarned the bitter truth. This is my best Naija song. Keep up d consciousness El, well done!

  • Heart breaking

  • Eldee word!

it's very funny when i hear and see the slogan proudly nigerian....i wonder what's there to be proud of...is it the high level of corruption by our so called leaders..only if people that shout proudly nigerian can come abroad to Uk, or canada or Us..then they will know that they are actually ''suffering and smiling'' jus like baba fela said...

  • wow!!!

i neva realli paid attention to the wrds of this song until 2day!!!

omo true talks... most of these bldy leaders cum aboard see aw things r don but still dont emulate

the ways to make NAIJA beta!!!

    God answer our prayer o!!!!!!

ELDEE THE DON... DON YARN... as a big boi

  • best naija song i ever heard.real talk

  • that was a good song, i whish our goverment wil watch, listing and feel the passion in it but that will not stop us from being nigeria's no matter how bad it is there is no were like home, luv you all and GOD bless.

  • i feel u eldee, there is no reason 9ja shouldnt be like yankee cos we have all it takes. if only we could stand up to our rights like Argentina did few years back .....but who will be the first to throw the stone when the average man on the street is afraid of death? it's sad and pathetic.

  • sad

  • I love this dude's music he is so real

  • if all the rich politicians\businessmen in naija would stop stealing oil money, building huge mansions, and sending their children to schools overseas and actually use that money responsibily by maintaining quality roads, electricity, and water/sewer treatment facilities, then you would have a 1st world nation in western Africa with plenty of jobs. Very sad indeed.

  • i understand what he's saying cux i use to live in Nigeria...Lagos... its a pretty interesting place

  • nahelj tell your people to change

  • who be my people? wetin i come talk?

  • i think embezlment is a crime that should be level to murder, its pure genocide. how can our leaders see this picture and still sleep at night. knowing that, what they are doing is killing there people

  • checkout MOS-HOOD- Na y..nice track ya'll

  • YESS o

  • are these pictures of suffering in Naija or all over Africa.??.

This man better be talking bout Africa in general cause he shouldnt be confusing the 2.

I've never seen starving pictures about Nigeria only countries in East-Africa and stuff. NEVER NAiJA!

  • umm...u kiddin'? there are starving kids everywhere my sis. Even in Nigeria.

  • There is starving people in indonesia not just in africa, and you are saying that there is NO Starving kids in nigeria.

  • u are the most ignorant person i can ever imagine. how can you say this things don't happen. i think your folks is one of them. if they don't change na concience go kill una. if you get any.

  • dis na fela song

  • when nigerians stop celebrating corrupt leaders and start killing them then change will come. nigeria are too scared if we start mass protest and demand our right to electricity, water, sound educational system then we will change if not the thousands of years to come the black man will still be under. the old guides must die first .

  • Is is high time Nigerians stood up against corruption and oppression. A government that was never elected but ony selected. I Have a video of Osun State selection but is not working on youtube cos is too long. GOd dey.

  • nigerians time to yarn

  • Eldee make we yarn ... i go follow u yarn!!! Love u man keep doing the good wrk

  • 4:19 I feel u man

  • This is the message u should be sending across not beefing Mfon Essien(Freestlye). Good one Dawg. This is the real essence of music. Thumps up Lucknan.

  • People in this world we think we are so acomplished as humans when we can't figure out simple things like sharing, there is more than enough in the world for everyone FACT:,FOOD GOES OF ON SHELFS WHILE BABIES DIE FROM HUNGER WHERE IS THE SENSE IN THAT, why because of the illumiati (leaders & governments), greedy people who have sold their soul ot the devil, oh ma sha,oh one step at a time just try your best to make a differnce, day to day.

COMMON SENSE LETS MAKE IT COMMON AGAIN.

  • i love dis it makes me cry ... please post this ever where to show people how they live in nigeria

  • god bless u man

  • I love it. Good to see conscious thought on the net. Elibrowns you are right. Imagine. These people (over the past two generations) have had the benefit of seeing the fruit of global developments (sewers, water, roads, medical healthcare, employment) yet rather than taking these ideas and implementing them, they invest their money in other countries- Dubai, London, New York - money in intl a/c-Swiss, Cayman, Bahamas. We need a Rawlings/Mao leader to build and develop.

  • its abt time to wake em'

psycho selfish leaders up. In Africa as a whole, we shouldn't cos the guy sang abt naija means that shit is happening only in naija, it all around Africa so stand up now or never..

  • I see change in d nearest future. No lose hope bruvs. Our politicians are all prevaricators and congenital idiots that travel abroad to treat fever. That ODB called Obj deserves a 2nd term in kirikiri. Inshallahu e go better!

  • anyone that follows nigerian politics can see an end to the antics of the corrupt e-------lites.today it is niger delta militants.these resistance will spread until the government deceides to stamp out corruption and proceed on the part of good governance.the resistance is slowly building...just look!!

  • Come to UAE and see how many towers of 50-60 storey that belong to nigerians politicians. all their inlaws, brothers, sisters are all here. they see d way every thing dey work here but they ignored rather they prefered to contribute to the development of another man's country and return home to stop okada people from operating. Imagin spending $16 billion in power sector in just 8 years without even seeing d light. ohh God don't let them finish this money before i return home.

  • what can we do,is only God that will save us in Nigeria, because may looking at the situation of things,it is becoming worst everyday, the rich are getting richer while the poor are becoming more poorer.God will console us one day.pele.poison NKOO,i don't know where to start.dooooooooooooooooooo

  • Na Poison u want use kill them? Utapiapia Nkoo?lol

  • Hmm... he is talking sense... i like this...

  • the main problem with naija is da size and da mind set dat corruption is ok ........rome wasnt built in one day ..it will take a while but have we even started tryin to make a change??????

  • i wan cry, nigeria has a very big problem and i think i know d solution to our problems. all our ex, gov, presidents, ministers etc, infact who ever tht once upon a time run public office should be kill. kalas. one love Eldee. we dey feel u from d middle east. i need people like u to execute judgement to dose so called politicians.

Why Naija go be one big contri when we suppose get Federal rep of Oduduwa F.R of Arewa etc, not to talk of Biafra.

Edo soppose be wan contri, de people strong.

Naija no fit good if we dey like we dey today.

This song is emotional and has true meaning.

  • man this video is too touching, it almost made me cry. Great Job by this guy.

  • This ought to reach the very doors that brings the sung evil upon the Nigerian popullace..

Amongst the ruling sect are positive minded few, lets reach these sycophants thru them... Let all who have such audience as our privileged brother Eldee, implore others to view and see this truth... when we reach others and sensitize them, over time change will come and then we accept less of such madness barraged our way by these greedy corrupt bunch...

  • did u guys see olaDELe at 01:29 counting storeys lol

  • He is right all the way , we need to all come together and clean out this mess if not we are heading into a drastic collapse ! Our leaders ARE COMPLETE BABOONS nothing short of ANIMALS

  • the song is sick,is gud to yarn the truth, becuz the govment in nigeria are to corrupt, still this song will not change anything, but is gud to speak the truth, eldee you r good,

  • when u finish yarning, what step will you take to make that change?

  • bros yarning will drive some of us to do what the cowards can't achieve.u should praise him for what he is doing.he could have done his song praising yahoo or 419

  • lanre dabiri... eldee.... you're just a genius, africa's puff daddy,. you came from trybesmen, you made hits, you were extremely successful, you came to atlanta, and shock your fans here in the U.S,.. you deserve an award for all you've done [especially for this song], i love you to death man!, you are really the CHAMPION

  • wow verry powerfull message

    verry sad

  • my guy,yarn dis thing!

  • man, this touches my heart, my heart goes out to the poorest in naija. Why are we naija people so unwilling to put pressure on our leaders. God has called us in general several times in the bible to stand up for the weak and lowly in our societies but we just ignore the bible we even call the poor people "omo-ita's". On the day of judgement God won't let us go scot free.

  • I really like this song. Very thoughtful!!

  • eLDee, well done.

  • Two thumbs up for LD the DON

I really wish our politicians would listen

and lets hope that when we get there we'ld make a difference

    1

  • man the kid is at times square in new york city.

  • isnt this the guy from trybesmen.

  • GREAT GREAT GREAT SONG. VERY VERY INSIGHTFUL

AMAZING PRODUCTION AND LYRICS. Its amazing how our leaders come to yanki and see how beautiful it is and not a single thought creeps into them about how they can make naija better, what a shame.

  • finally we've got sum1 with talent, speakin real and true stuff.Big up Eldee.

Nija we nid change our ways!

  • nice song

    Naija need 2 get bettta

    lol
