  • I <3 THIS SONG!

  • Sorry for double comment, but... I also like the sparing rhyme scheme. I was about to suggest "tears are suddenly gone" be "tears will suddenly STOP," to match the previous line's "top," but then I noticed that those lines DON'T rhyme in the original Japanese, while ones like the brilliant "feel lonely and cry" do. I see. You think of everything, man. You're near impossible to critique.

Ah, I'm so looking forward to the "Yuki" lyrics!

  • Japanese rhyme schemes are interesting. From what I've observed of Japanese lyrics and language, the sparing rhyme scheme makes sense. After all, all Japanese syllables end with one of five sounds: a, i, u, e,or o. Basically, I think it's so easy to rhyme in Japanese, that it would be redundant to make things rhyme.

Maybe it's like American free verse. It's similar because if you look in both this lyrical style and in free verse, they both employ specific rythmic techniques and internal rhyme.

  • im japanese and i confirm wat u said
