u seem very intelligent im building a typhoon class and im putting on 4 torpedo chambers the problem is i need a torpedo thats gonna pierce some balsa wood and a bit of alumunum and i think gas is the way to go any advice on at gas to use?
I'am using lightergas for propulsion, gives enough speed, but i doubt if the torps can pierce the balsawood and aluminum, you have to step to CO 2 for higher pressure, this again gives a higher risk of exploding in using.
The pressure from Co2 is to high for the gastorpedo's, instead i want to use the same gas as they use for mobile airhorns, almost the same pressure like the lightergas and nonflammable.
I've always wanted to make a remote control sub but i don't have the time or the tools to do so I've made boats, plains, and I've worked on cars/trucks but I've never made a sub so yeah. but i may have a radio that may work 4 a remote control sub when i decide to make 1 some day. (its a spectrum DX6, it's a 6 channel and is 2.4 GHz feel free to message me back ^_^ )

now i dont really get it: Which kind of your torpedos wrk better: The electric ones or the ones with gas?

They both work good, but i prefer the electric one's, easier to handle, they travel longer and reloading is easier.

will there be a war with bombs in the torpeodoes?

how bout co2? that may work good

ah sounds good to me.

2.4 Ghz won't work with the sub, it will not penetrade the water, unless you keep your antenna all the time above the water.

thanks 4 the info :)

what gas use?

I used standard lightergas, works well but i want to search for something else as the lightergas, too flammeble

And they work with "air"? Great propellant!

He's a MANIAC! MAAAANIIIIAC!
Goes extremely fast man, but a great improvement nevertheless.

For your info, these torps are not for my sub, made these for a friend of mine who has a smaller type VIIC sub than mine.
I'll keep it electric for my own sub, nevertheless it's fun to build something else.

Really? Well they're still cool.
