  • PISTON HONDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I AM PLAYING THIS SONG FOR MY STEPID SCHOOL CONCERT THERE IS 54 MEASURES AND I AMOUT 44!!!!!

  • Sooooo beautiful!!!

  • somehow remind me of cheza song ...

  • scary but good

  • I would like to hear this song as traditionally played, not with counterpoint and chorals. Are the japanese ashamed of their traditional music? I hope they realize how exquisite it is, without the need for european harmonizations.

  • @tamarexxe It's very hard to follow your logic. Japan too has chorals, and the vocals here certainly aren't European styled.

  • @tamarexxe Just search for "Sakura Sakura" there are a ton of instrumental versions of this song all over YT.

  • @MyriadMythial thank you very much. I am in awe of the deep beauty of this song and of the depth of japanese culture. 17 people have no soul and I weep for them.

  • i am performing this song for one of my friends for her going away party. she is going back to tiwain

  • really? i learned it (for translation) as; cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms come in the spring (time clear) clear blue skys the blossoms bring. pink and white the petals fly. torn by winds to fill the sky. oh when will we run to see sweet lovely cherry trees bloom?

  • Awesome, I've been looking for it everywhere... I just need the name.

  • Beautiful video and audio,thank you for posting.

  • this is where chinese and japanese music differs

    japanese = mysterious, enigmatic, "zen"

    chinese = joyful, expressive, energetic

    listen to "love song from kang ding" for comparison.

    i'm not saying the one is better than the other.

    just my two cents anyway. :)

  • @july071992 抱歉,中国的音乐不是只有单一的表达快乐奔放,也有许许多多哀怨,寄予愁思的乐曲。看待一国之音乐要综合其文化背景,如果你读过一些宋词,或者一些佛教禅宗的著文,那看待中国传统音乐或许会更全面些;

  • @zachope111 It is very interesting to see how people think one drop of water can represent the whole ocean.

  • @july071992 hey uh, you mentioned two cents 10 months ago or so, but I've never received this payment for reading your comment, am I suppose to go someplace to retrieve it or what?

  • @july071992 lol wut?

  • @Just4Th3Lulz obvious troll is troll

  • @july071992

    Completely disagree. I am wondering how much Japanese and Chinese music you have listened to, to arrive at this conclusion.

    China is huge and the culture is diverse. "Love song from Kangding" is a Tibetan style love song; It only represents a joyful part of Tibetan folk music.

    Want to hear some mysterious, enigmatic and zen Chinese music? Try "Gao shan liu shui" (Grand mountains and flowing water). This piece is composed by a Chinese musician called Boya around 700-400B.C.

  • @mulanhuakai what i meant is chinese music has a major pentatonic style, while japanese has a minor pentatonic style.

  • @july071992

    Chinese music does have a major pentatonic style. However, I don't think "pentatonic style" has anything to do with if the music is mysterious, enigmatic or joyful.

    In fact, this "mysterious" and "enigmatic" Japanese folk song "Sakara" is pentatonic, and the "joyful" Chinese folk song "Love Song from Kangding" is also pentatonic. :)

  • @mulanhuakai you clearly did not understand what i've said. oh well, no use talking to you. :)

  • @july071992

    "this is where chinese and japanese music differs

    japanese = mysterious, enigmatic, "zen"

    chinese = joyful, expressive, energetic

    listen to "love song from kang ding" for comparison."

    --------------------------------

    I think this is what you've said. I understand it perfectly.

  • This sounds very much like "Aase's Death" by Edvard Grieg.

  • Sakura, sakura, gently swaying in the air, smell the fragrance everywhere, petals soft and colors bright, floating clouds that seem to say"come and see, come and see, come and see the cherry blooms"

  • This is rather beautiful, if you ask me.

  • Somehow, this scares me... But that's not the intention of that song, I assume. >_>

    Kind of mysterious!

  • I learned this on the piano!

  • I'm sorry, but there are tones in this piece which are between our notes. So it's not really possible to play this piece on the piano.

    Besides it's not a song which you would play on a piano if you haven't just begun to learn playing...

  • i love this song i learned it in school

  • it i is so peaceful...this music

  • SAKURA *-*

  • i hav to play this in band :]

  • we hav to sing this for choirr

  • nice really relaxing song

    i love the japanese landscapes...very pretty...

  • This is one of the moments that makes me feel proud of being Romanian. R.I.P. Ioan Luchian Mihalea, your duty is done on Earth, you brought us happiness and peace with your realizations.

  • It becomes impossible the presence of mind and to exist when Japan of Chinese.

    It is called an inferiority complex.

    Japan is considered too much. It seems that only the delusion is done like the mental job.

    Chinese should be opposite to the truth of Tibet and east Turkistan.

    How much person died of the atomic test in east Turkistan?

    Are you answered?

  • You do have a point.

  • you`re the 1 who`s limited

  • sakura=樱花?

  • Luchian Mihalea wow

    i never knew that.

    he didn't passed away - he was killed.

    that thing shocked everyone :(

  • この歌を聴くと、何だか切なく、哀しい、胸が締め付けられるような気持ちになります。

    私は日本以外にも好きな国は勿論ありますが、日本で日本人として生まれて、本当に本当に幸せです。

  • Woo. Gave me goosebumps!

  • Cool! sung by a romanian choral group! random!

  • yes, it's great to hear such song and such voices. very good mixt. and, if you want to listen another piece like this, but not sung by the same choir. i'm talking about a japanese folk song too, named Kojo no tsuki (Moonlight over the ruined castle). It's simply amazing. It's also accompanied by Koto and Piano.

    you should check it:)

  • wow.....this song is amazing. It has a tune of beautiful happiness but also has a depressing tone in it. It's a wonderful piece! Does anyone know anything as good as this? I want to hear more stuff like it!

  • any translation ??

  • Like a cloud from out the sky, mist of blossoms fills the air,

    Cherries, cherries, blossoming. Come and see, come and see.

    Let all see and sing.

    Cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms. Cherry blossoms are everywhere.

    Like a cloud from out the sky, mist of blossoms fills the air,

    Cherries, cherries, blossoming. Come and see, come and see.

    Let all see and sing.
