Did a NZ cruise a year ago and finished it up with New Years at the opera house in Sydney.. from the north to the south at the fjords it was great. We visited Christchurch on Christmas day just a few days before the big earthquake.

I did that in the Sea of Cortez.. about 5 years ago. The pod was close to 1000 dolphins and we just stopped the boat. jumped in and it took them 10 minutes to pass us...

@definitionofself It's lovely Sunny BBQ weather in New Zealand right now and the warm pacific waters wash down from the tropics into that area. Southern hemisphere seasons are the opposite of the northern hemisphere. If you want to come to NZ to ski in the snow that tends to start around June or July here! Trees do not grow naturally here above the snow line so you only need to watch out for the rocks in NZ when you ski!
