To tell you the truth, parts of Rin reminds me of other anime main characters:

Flames- Naruto when he's in nine tail fox form and Tsuna

Exorcist- Allen Walker

Fights a lot, uses swords- Ichigo

And there are probably more, but this is all I can think of. :P

@SumDudeDatDraws Its not difficult to find similarities between any shounen MC's actually. Its pretty common. I would have to say that Ao pulls it of better than most other shounen series, one of the reasons why i like it, even though i have stopped liking Bleach Naruto etc. since a long while. Negima is still the best shounen manga out there though IMHO, manga that is, anime except for OVA and movie is horribad. Ao comes in second, its cool beans
