Dave is an amazing guitarist , inspiring talent, but for me, I feel it somewhat unobtainable!! Still thats what feeds the interest and passion in our learning.

sorry man, but Dave is an incredible versatile player. Check his tutorial DVD's. If you wouldn't know it's him you could actually bet is Steve Vai, Robben Ford, any other guitarist, you name it. I know what I'm saying, trust me. Doyle is very good, I've studied both of them, but I think Dave is overall a better guitarist. Peace!
I gotta say, having had the pleasure of playing some of them, as a guitarist it's very hard not to really feel Dave Gilmour's solos - for obvious reasons. Some of us can't help but show that a little more than Dave does, who, as you correctly imply, is famously reserved in that regard....
Dave used Richie Kotzen Telecaster but since this year he uses custom Suhr guitars. A sort of a mix of a Tele and a Stat... Tele body, hardtail and a SSS pickups configuration.
Sat in the second row in Toronto - about 10 feet from Dave - having listened to Dark side of the moon about 1000 times - it just amazing and a tribute to Mr. Kilminster , that he hit every note - well done
and the lucky beggar got his telecasters from richie kotzen lol mega jealous. when i was at the ACM he was usin his pink floral design one and it was amazin. so wierd to see him do evil pickin licks on it haha
Dave Kilminster, he is just AWESOME, really. You now the magazines Guitar Techniques and Total Guitar? On some cd's you can hear him shred-->he's amazing. He even played songs like For The Love Of God by Steve Vai! He was totally 'Vai' =P He rules man, one of the best guitarists EVER!
You guys are idiots Dave Kilminster is an awesome guitarist, I have been in a studio with him in the new forest and rather than just bieng some fret happy dickhead who never shuts up propably like you, he is all about the music, he has passion for it and know when to stop. I'm sick of 2 bob untalented people getting so annoyed with their own shitness that they have o come here and slate actual 'real' musicians
Now now guys... what makes you think you could make a better judgment than Roger? =D
Dave K's one of those rare technically accomplished guitarist who has a great feel. If he is indeed shit, I wonder what makes a 'good' musician in your book.
Richie Kotzen wannabee (but never willbee).

great musician. discovered him just a few minutes before...... what's the song called?

Very nicely played but the "Rock God shapes" seem so wrong in this context. Still this gig will do until he gets that dream call from Dave Lee Roth.
