hi cody im britney im 31 yrs old with two little boys.i was diagnosed with tm a few days ago and am in my hospital bed now.started with severe pain and tingling and went to 3 ers when i couldnt walk down the stairs....i am now walking well about 15 steps..but my balance is terrible.if i close my eyes i fall...i am scared that i have very little sensory in legs and hands but strength is getting better.thank u for making this what can i do to help if possible id like to help in any way
Dr. Douglass Kerr at the Johns Hopkins Center in Baltimore is truly an angel from god. He saved my life when Temple hospital could not. People can worry themselves sick. Doctors made me real worried said I was gonna die in 24 hrs. that's how bad I was. I was 19 I am now 28 and I am using the TM story and a life support blood clot experience to kick off a music career to empower millions, to be persistent. Other then a little bladder issue once in a while I am 100% fully recovered.msg. me
I want her to read this. She should not be ashamed of her disability because she has something that very few able-bodied girls have. Shes damn beautiful. Like as hot as the Sahara desert, Shes hot and I can tell she has an amazing personality, and this is all she needs for success in life.
this is a truly amazing thing. I feel bad for all the people that still suffer from TM. I had it and made a near full recovery and now i realize that I was truly lucky. When you feel sad or depressed just force yourself to laugh and usually that will cheer you up a little bit.
Thats wounder full to hear that maid it through this. also dont feel bad about people still suffering, they most likely arent and can find ways to look at the bad and change it to look like the good. For example The doctors told me that i would be parilized from left arm and mid chest down, but i said that isnt happening..lol and now im almost normal besides that left leg of mine lol. Just say to your self that the people that are suffering they will recover and always keep a good out look :D
ANy cure for this? I have this too. One day I went to sleep, the other day I couldnt walk anymore. I cant hold my pee, my poop have sex, anything. This is the devil in a disease.
I had 2 severe cases of it but my parlyzsis went away after a few months in the hospital. You would know if u have it it takes over your central nervous system and eats through your spinal chord. if you can't walk or have numbness in your legs then you def. wanna get checked, the first major sign was paralysis of my bladder for 3 days and then excrutiating back pain!
Thanks i do have transverse myelitis and iv recovered from parlyzation of left arm and mid chest down. now im almost normal minus the left leg lol.. i still have to get that one working lol.
I was hit with TM eight years ago at the age of 42. Mine was from neurosarcoidosis, similar to that of Karen Duffy. I can walk now, with a limp and back pain, but I can't really use my right hand. I enjoyed SCUBA before the TM and hope to get back under water. Thanks for being a public advocate for those of us who think like you on stem cell research. I hope someday you can walk again. -Tim S
