@lonelyday91 Sure, but be wary that you will need a mouse. Although it works but on 3D it requires a little patience when it comes to refreshing. I expected that and I dont mind that. I ran AC 2010 on it.
I think that's a mouse setting in the control panel, it's designed to prevent you from accidentally rubbing and moving the mouse with your palm as you type.
I've got one of these, I really like it. I get around 6-8 hours of battery on it; more than enough to get through a day of classes. Performance wise, it's not as good as a laptop, but it's also not as shitty as a netboook - it's somewhere in between. It can at least run Photoshop smoothly ^_^
My unit had some errors in the paintwork, I need to send it back to my supplier. That's why I did not want to take of the stickers. By the way, I was wrong about the the protective layer in front of the screen, there was none.
how many gigabites of ram does this computer have.

you can change the settings.. The reason for this behaviour is so that you don't click somewhere during touch typing.

I'm waiting for a faster netbook processored netbook before I consider buying such :P
dav231988 2 years ago
This one is not running a atom chip, its got a core 2 duo.
dualboy24 2 years ago
WTF?? promising. I want one... but.. I don't like acer ergonomics :S... I'd wait for asus or hp versions.
dav231988 2 years ago
It's got a core 2 solo, not duo.
The 1810TZ features the su4100 which has the duo.

The "T" variant is also a dual core. Some use 4x series CPU and other a 3x series CPU. The Ultra portables smoke Netbooks!
The TZ is the newest model out?
UnderMediKated 2 years ago
whats the difference between the T and TZ? I can't seem to see much

The 1810TZ dual core out today at Amazon for 549.99. It has Windows 7 Premium x64 and all the goodies. I'm glad I waited.

How are the hinges? I've had quite some trouble with older models of acer laptops where the housing would break at the hinges after a few months.

They feel fine to me. Ofcourse it isn't Thinkpad quality, but good enough. Also check my video: build quality.

why don't you take the stupid protective layer off? having sticker isn't cool. it's like wearing clothing with stickers

Going by the information on American websites I expect in 2 weeks. More information can be found by searching for AS1410 on Google shopping.

Hi nice Review!
Still one question for me left is there a mini pci-ex extension slot free ? Or is the only one used by the wlan card ?
Thanks!

I haven't checked but I'll try to look into it.
