Kumite in Chito-Ryu is not designed for so called "sun dome(non contact)" rule.

A point should be given to a punch or kick which have an appropriate fisical contact with opponent.

I feel so sorry for someone who quit karate because of this judgement or tournament.

I found this video unexpectedly.

To be honest, I've never seen such unfair and doubtful judgement in my karate life.

At first, the guy in blue hasn't reached to the level to do kumite, yet. I hardly recognize he's practicing karate.

Secondly, the judge is misunderstanding about "hansoku" if this tournament was held "with boug".

to show you...sometimes, competitions are very subjective, you never want to scare away parents by being too aggressive at the 'yellow belt' stage, no hits to the head for low coored belts or u get disqualified... ;)

btw that's my bro in red... search kumite xr to see for my hilarious match against someone from a totally different weight category...if that's how they want us to spar(sticking ur head to ur opponent since u know he cant hit it), it just makes people like us v disappointed in the sport...
