Jehovah's Witnesses, Blood Fractions, and Storing Blood

As an inactive JW with iron overload, the doctor won't perform blood letings becaus they are overstretched, the Watchtower doesn't want me to go to the blood bank and donate blood, even though I'd choose the "Don't use my blood" option at the end of the questionnaire. Some lucky JW's with iron overload may have more comprehensive doctors and perform blood letings, but not in my small town. So, I'm a Watchtower blood policy victim. You heard this from a real JW.

If you don't want to face DFing, thus losing your family and friends, you may wish to investigate those treatments; either that, or walk right out, telling them to stick it the way I did. =)

So they wont have their own blood spun into its base components, nor store their own blood in any state of composition. They will however take average joes blood in it component parts.

Trouble is the old ladies who push this utter nonsense around where I live are about as bright as a dark room, I feal mean telling them to pissoff. I just take the copy of watchtower and use it to pick my dogs shit up after it has had a crap in the local dog walking area.

A great use for such rammel I find.

others have already said it, but im gonna say it too. it is hipocritical to allow J.W.'s to accept a fraction but not to allow them to donate blood. if the whole world were J.W.'s, then there would be no way for them to get fractions.

i've always wondered why a witness cannot store their own blood for future use. i cannot find anything wrong with it. it can't be any worse than getting big bottles of albumin injected into you. at least its your own blood. if nothing else, the watchtower should declare it a concience matter.

transfusion of blood= the donating of blood to give to other people. JW's can use their own blood, have it filtered and have it put back to them. its in that weird card looking thing they get. its not just ''worldly people'' that they dont accept blood on, they wouldnt even accept blood from their very own people. to them blood is sacred and should be personal. so they can have their blood taken and filtered, just not shared with other people.

@l0st4ndc0nfused you forgot to mention that the blood has to be kept in circuit. it cannot be stored for future use. this issue came up when my dad was in the hospital. dr's wanted to take a little blood out and mix it with radioactive die and reinject. it was at this point i started to say, 'if the watchtower says 'conscience', that means you can do it. we shouldn't have to beat ourselves up over the letter of the law.

Thank God you posted this video so that everyone can see how contradictory and hypocritical the Watchtower blood policies are! Been trying to argue this point with JW's myself! They are so blind sighted is it unbelievable!

Is it permissable for a JW to have his blood temporarily removed for surgical purposes and then returned back to his body? If so, wouldn't that qualify as "eating/drinking one's own blood?"

When I received the update in the Kingdom Ministry about blood fractions, I thought it a bit odd. You can accept the components of blood, just not blood all together at once. That's like saying a Big Mac is unhealthy, and then proceeding to eat it ingredient by ingredient.

all of these religions that don't want to consume blood as it would (in their opinion) be against god should by their own terms be vegetarian, even in halal meat where the animal has been drained, blood cells still remain in the capillaries, so they are all still consuming blood if they like it or not.

Did you read Flock Book 2010 on blood? U could prob get a vid out of that alone.

Absolutely blood is blood; blood fractions is blood. This fraction thing came out after I was long out of the WT. It was so goofy I didn't believe it.

Flock Book 2010 also relates to this Bulgaria situation. The WTS swore to the Bulgarian government they had no religious sanction against member who accepted blood. FB2010 says there is. Check it out under the disfellowshipping-disassociati­on section.
