The one thing I never understood about this series growing up is why they never just called the the Justice League. Everything was "Super" from friends to powers team I honestly JLA, why was that a problem?

Somehow I seemed to have missed this serries growing up. I remember the early "Super Friends" and "The Challenge of the Super Friends" with the cool Legion of Doom, but I don't remember any shows featuring Cyborg or Firestorm. How did that happen????

the episodes that had the whole justice league vs the legion of doom were the best ever. they did'nt gave those stupid wonder twins on it either.

I always loved the SUPERFRIENDS' series, and the SUPER POWERS TEAM ended the popular run on a high note. Great stories, music, voice work. Did any voice cast fans notice that Michael Rye continues to play Green Lantern, even in this final series? (I don't believe he is even credited in this series.) I like Adam West as Batman, but I still miss hearing Olan Soule as Batman. :)

@94Bballpat Actually, they did for SUPER FRIENDS: THE LEGENDARY SUPER POWERS SHOW, but in this version, it does not appear to be Olan Soule as Dr. Stein. Soule was born in 1908 so maybe he was beginning to cut back on work? Wouldn't doubt it.

@stopthemachine It is Olan Soule as Dr Stein. He couldn't him and Batman so Adam West stepped in to recreate his famous tv role.

@KCOliver1960 Listen carefully--it sounds LIKE Olan Soule as Dr. Stein, but I don't believe it's him. It is DEFINITELY him in the LEGENDARY SUPER POWERS SHOW, but I don't believe it's him in this show.  I think it actually sounds like it could be Bill Woodson.

I remembered when I first watched The Super Powers Team in 1985 on how I did not like the character designs. For some reasons, they look odd from the designs from last season. As for Darkseid's design, he really looks scary in the final Superfriends season.

I loved this show when I was a kid. Now , This was the days of Saturday morning shows. I'm so glad they have it on dvd , I just also wish they had it on Blu-ray as well.
