God bless marine creatures. Thanks for posting this, Storm. I need to purchase a SW aquarium. I love marine biology. It's bottomlessly fascinating. When I go to pet stores, I am always on the lookout for the SW creatures. I would also like to get a cuttlefish or two. To all: Are there places in the US where one could get one? Would I need a special license or permit or permission?
neat tank. Finally somebody who knows not to liverock in the middle of the tank. So whats the third stingray? it's larger and dark. You see it at like 0:06. I have saved up a few thousand dollars and was considering buying a 300-400 gallon tank and put 2-3 stingrays including blue spot and banjo and some other fish. I dont know if you would know this, but would they be compatible with a greyhound shark or a banded cat shark? Or an eel or mimic octopus? Also, how much did your tank cost? Thanks
Great tank. Is the black And white guy a soapfish? If so, how do you keep it calm enough (so it doesn't secrete poison) with the stingrays swimming all over it?
the soap fish will only secrete if threatened. It knows the rays are not a threat to him. The other way of soap fish secretion is when poor water quality.
hey...very nice...i heard that raus don't do well in captivity. how do you keep them and they look sooooooo happy...and are you sure thats an 850 luter tank... looks more like 850 gallons
Beautiful rays. I would suggest taking the lights out of the tank though. You should do your best to reduce EMF's as much as possible when keeping theses guys.
It actually takes alot of skill and knowledge to keep these creatures happy. Yes I probably agree with what you say, all exept for the moron part! We're all not gonna be here in 5 years. Have you heard the news? What about fresh water tanks? Do you know anything about the import of fresh water fish. Atleast I can provife the rays with exactly what they need to be happy, grow and live a long protected life!
AMEN!!! I hate the pople who say shit like this (There being "morons" themselves. People bash me for the animals I keep, there not endangered and I know how to keep them happy! BTW, Very Nice setup.
Oh you morons are horrible. You destroy the oceans with your salt-water tanks. Stop being greedy, the world is not yours. The poor stingrays suffer endlessly in your tiny tank. Set the FREE!
i suppose then everyone should just set their pet dogs and cats free? And their pet birds too.. but make sure that we take the dogs off the blind people especially right?
Shut up you hippy its a fish tank and its a pet and its very happy in that tank.
