  • I love yes with benoit

  • Who is that dipshit interviewing them?

    What a douche.

  • Opinions are like asses, everyone got one!

Thanks "who cares?" Go find a place to sleep it off.

  • los banco a muerte!

  • lol avatar is very roger dean come to think of it

  • I hope the footage they picked wasn't indicative of how "great" the band are playing now. Draggy tempo and missed notes much, guys? Yikes... I adore Yes but holy crap guys.. pick it up or go home.

  • I veri "Yes" sono solo quelli con Jon Anderson.

  • Damn they didnt age too well.... Oh well at least they still sound GREAT!! Be better with Jon back

  • I just love seeing Mr. White expressing his dissatisfaction with Steve's ever more 'slow hand'. [0:28]. Strange though, centennials back Chris was the 'Dragger'.

  • los quisiera escuchar con nuevo material, aunque temo tener que taparme los oidos. Extraño a Jon y Rick, sin ellos Yes no es Yes.

  • I love Yes but playing the old songs over the years has become stale and I think Jon Anderson would like to push the band again in another direction. Jon has some vantastic new songs that would be great with YES. Hall of Fame? YES

  • Yes was not in a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? That's very strange, it just shows what a garbage this organization is, bunch of business people,it is similar to a toilet paper called "Rolling Stone" and ACDC was not on a cover.

  • this is a bad cover band--they need to beg anderson to come back

  • Very sad, yes it is not Yes without Anderson Benoit is a ventriloquist.

  • Must say i dont like benoit but i like tht jon anderson is still singin but i wish he had the energy to travel with yes again.

  • yea i knew jon lost it when i saw him perform high on weed.... say no more... very sad.

  • @virgo191984 Are you really Nancy Reagan?

  • They sound terrible... I'm a gigantic YES fan from way back and it sounds like they're just collecting a paycheck and playing as if they're tired. For anyone who likes this Benoit character better than Anderson, well, you're an idiot and obviously are hearing impaired. Squire is known for being a horrendous drunk and I'm happy he's cleaned his act up, but doing anything without Jon and Rick is... well... like this piece of shit video and the others out there... weak, uninspired and depressing.

  • The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a friggin' joke. For Yes to go this long without admission (as well as the Hall including some truly talentless ass clowns) is a crime against humanity.

  • ew i just read the comment underneath mine from judypanter or whtever

you wer probly th bitch at th show screamin i love you i knew i shoulda punched you then - things we see in others r reflections of self ,

  • "we also loved playin philadelphia"' squire dude, yo, philadeplhia loves it when u play !! third row in front of steve darby tower 2010 miss jon terribly yet cant help but love yes the smiles n th package steve n chris bliss

  • I love Yes but... these guys should have known when to hang it up. Siberian Khatru sounds totally lame like a tired old harlot. Singer looks like Donny Osmond. Howe looks like Kane from Poltergeist 2.

  • Chris Squire ! You are ALREADY a rockstar. No need to be a rockstar-wannabe and wear sunglasses during an indoors interview

  • Howe's timing was way off.

  • Steve Howe has not aged well at all. Wtf, happened?

  • What is wrong with Squire's mouth? Looks like he has no fucking teeth! How the does he expect to get some "pussy" with no teeth?fuck this shit!

  • @TheBlackCock1

he's a brit, they "never"brush or floss, learn that lesson

  • @Jfoertsch your absolutley right i can confirm that i haven't brushed my teeth since the day i was born and floss what on earth is that some sort of sweet you get at the circus? What few teeth i have left are absolutley bright yellow or as black as the ace of spades and ny breath STINKS HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • tropicana e marca de cachaça aqui no Brasil kkkkkkk

  • I do miss Jon. Benoit David has an extremely good voice, but his stage presence at last nights Santa Rosa show... well...! Still, Chris and Alan played their asses off while Steve reached for the stars and Oliver...wow, he is certainly coming into his own... I would like to hear a musical composition featuring some of his original work.... A new album may be a pleasant surprise with Squire at the helm once again! All this talk about the absent Jon-missed or not -is just rumours and heresay.

  • What goes on between these guys is really none of our business. Don't know where some of these people get their info. I've heard way too many conflicting stories, so how are we to know what the truth REALLY is?

  • Can't wait to see them July 7th! As for those who have the extremely rude comments, too bad! What law was passed making it illegal to continue the band without ALL the original members at an older age? They still love to perform and there are those of us who will pay to see them - too bad you don't like it. Just don't go see them. I've been a YES fan since my first concert in '73, and the last time I saw them in '09 they did great - this coming from a musician who knows something about music!

  • Due to people's comments here, now I fully understand the Yes and Jon situation. Well, it's a tough situation for the public to understand. Often band members don't get a long, sometimes this is sad, because they knew each other as kids. Yes will be here in Seattle in three weeks, and I don't know whether or not to attend. I sure hope Jon and Yes can work something out someday. It should not be all about money.

  • Yes needs Jon Anderson, same as Queen needs Freddy Mercury and AC/DC needs Bonn Scott.

  • I've been a YES fan since the early 70's. YES needs Jon's voice. Benoint sounded horrible. IMO There's no replacing the voice of Anderson...NO JON = NO YES

  • I WAS AT THAT CONCERT

  • YES isn't YES without Jon Anderson & Trevor Rabin. Without those 2, I wouldn't even go to one of their shows. The clip of their music here is dismal. Sorry, but without their main singers, they are not so hot anymore.

  • "We have the same intrigues...Like a court of Kings".....Yes 90125 "Our Song"

  • @78rohan actually thats from "leave it" :) but yeah 90125

  • Jon made a comment at one of his shows, It will be a great tribute to Yes.

(That is if He and Rick and Trevor can get the time together to make some new music)

    Sounds like if that happens......

There will be a new Modern Yes, with actually new Music.

    Can't wait.

  • @RICHARDTRICHMOND Thank you, And That's exciting news.

  • True they are all getting older. I'm not crazy about the current line up, yet if we put ourselves in their shoes, we'd realize that the choices they've made are out of necessity. Anything is possible with this band. I sense they'll with come up with new material at some point, and whether Jon sings with Yes again, is anybody's guess. Rick may record with them, but unlikely he'll tour. 40+ years of touring and partying takes its toll. I'm just grateful 4 the shows I saw since the release of Tales

  • Can't wait for the new album, it's going to be great.

  • My god they look dead.

    They are finished, very sad......

  • Did you know that Beniot - the Anderson sing-alike DOES NOT WRITE ANY ORIGINAL MATERIAL ? What a stupid decision to make - get an Anderson sound alike. At least Rabin was most decidedly not a Howe sound alike - nor tried to be. It all makes me puke.

  • Ugh.. Squire is starting to sound like Ozzy.

I'm glad these guys are still playing and can get paid to make music, but they have sounded better.

  • Hey everone...

Anyone want to know some good stuff about the Yes Camp.

Billy Sherwood/Tony Kaye and Circa are still around and touring, also their new band YOSO. Billy continues to do solo stuff. All Yes members, past and Present are still alive, so there is some hope for alot of different line-ups. Jon is healthy, and touring. Jon and Rick will have an album in 2010, and Rick and Trevor and 2ex-Yes men are working in 2010.

Google, Rock group yes, where are they now?, for info.

  • Why does everone seem so angry.

Think about the music and calm down.

Jon does want to be back in yes, he said so as recent as december, and chris said not at this time, but maybe later, so of it is management problems, and also I think Benoit is still under a contract for touring. I have seen yes 11 times, last was this tour in south carolina. Its better with Jon, no doubt.

Waiting for more word on Rick, and Trevor and 2 other Ex-Yes men on their album plans.

  • ClitDoris,

Seems that you are a very big Yes fan, and more of and Anderson fan. Me too.

I named one of my dogs, Anderson.

I love all of Jon's solo, and Vangelis work, and the word is that he is one of the 2 ex-Yes men who will cut an album with Rick and Trevor in 2010, so hopefully every Yes fand will get to see those guys Perform as 'another YES' in the future, we need something new!!! After all there are TWO Asia's right now, the steve asia, and John Paynes.

  • Jon said NO to Yes all those Years because HE CAN MAKE MORE MONEY Touring SOLO, than Touring with Yes. Think about it, Jon did.

  • Clitdoris, (Yes Hater) Yes is not making alot of Money Touring. They ARE NOT Rich, and never WILL be Rich. However, they do need to make a Living. Jon, and his huge Ego, have been holding Yes back since 2005, and they decided this would NO LONGER be the case, and went on without him, and rightfully so, ONE PERSON SHOULD NOT DICTATE AN ENTIRE BANDS FUTURE, REGARDLESS OF WHO HE IS.

  • Fuck You, ya Stupid Cunt. You make NO SENSE. If thats what you get from my comment, you surly need help. Everyone reading these comments can see you are bashing the current Line-up, because you Love " I Left Yes" Jon Anderson. Get over it. Steve and Chris can do what ever they want with Yes, Jon QUIT. He KNOWS he can make MORE Money Singing Yes, SOLO. Been doing it for 5 Years now. Get a Brain you RETARDED FUCK. Do yourself, and the World a Favor, and KILL YOURSELF, U waste of space, piece ofShit

  • I love YES, and I just saw them with VIP pass in Dallas. I must say, Howe and Squire were the most unfriendly artists I've yet met. They're lucky anyone is still listening to them since the freaking Cambrian is over. I love their stuff, but they were totally cold with the guys at autograph signing.

  • You of course are right. Not saying that Anderson is not also to blame for this ridiculous farce - like Plant for not wanting to tour with Zep, - now would Zep fans accept a Plant sound-alike ? Doubt it.

Thanks for nothing Howe, Squire & White.

  • Jon said NO to Yes 2005-2008, and was the ONLY Member holding back a Tour during this Time. He FINALLY said he would Tour, then had his accident. Since Yes Toured WITHOUT HIM, He NO LONGER wants to be a part of Yes. How soon we forget.

  • There's more to the Jon story: 1) Anderson sold off his share in Yes LLC in 2004, and in at least 1 interview said he left the band. 2) Howe Squire Wakeman White wanted to make a studio album in 2005 - Anderson said NO. 3) Anderson demanded he get more money than HSW for the 2008 reunion tour. 4) Anderson has been touring Yessongs solo since the 80s. OH, and after Squire's heart attack, Anderson planned to do the Talk tour with Billy Sherwood on bass...dumping the ailing Squire.

  • @kirklott - that's some good Yes info I hadn't heard before - thanks. I've always rooted for Jon back with the band, but now I can understand why Chris is sour on him.

  • @kirklott I wish I could get to the bottom of this fued-where have you found your information; I sincerely would like to know more about this as a freind of mine feels Jon is 'the' victim'

  • @ticklishampersand - mostly from Henry Potts' site, but also from Yesfans site. Search 'henry potts yes.' And this isn't the first time - note that HSW kicked Jon out of Yes after the ill-fated '79 Paris sessions because he was taking more than his share of money, and HSW were tried of 'Circus of Heaven' type songs. Then Wakeman left. HSW were polite enough to say that Jon left, but the fact is he was booted. Brian Lane confirmed.

  • @kirklott

So it primarily came down to business? Wasn't that why they broke up in 79 (besides exhaustion and needing a break from one another)?

I never heard of the Squire/Sherwood story - where'd you hear abou that? Bands can be brutal, like the combination of a marriage, artistic venture and business venture. That's a helluva juggling act when you think about it.

I wonder why Jon sold his share in Yes - that's really odd. And why would he say no to making a record? Oh well.......

  • @kirklott when did chris have a heart attack?

  • @pryt86 Apparently around '94, prior to the Talk tour.

  • @kirklott crap i never knew that he had one

  • @pryt86 Well thank God he's still alive - and Yes has a new album coming out in July!

  • @kirklott Who cares? Bottom line: they've been sucking since the late 70s non-stop

  • Oliver should wear a cape.

  • Where is Asia's line up ?

    Wetton, Palmer & Downes ?

  • Thanks for posting this interview and footage. I am a HUGE fan of Yes and nearly all they do. I do feel a little sad to see it all slow down as it has. Seems to me that Steve is having trouble keeping up, plus the vocals aren't there any longer for anyone in the band. Still, I love their music. Today, I listened to CTTE a few times. It's still perfect, 38 years later. Good luck, Yes. And thank you!

  • People, Jon DOESN'T WANT to be in Yes, let it go.

  • Yes continues, and when he's on completely, Benoit does sing Jon even better than Jon it seems. (My wife actually prefers him to Jon.... would you believe!) I saw their first US show, and now a year later near the beginning of the short tour. They are very solid. Time for a new set and some new material.

  • Yes, she does. She saw Yes for the first time with Benoit. Jon sounds airy on comparison on several recordings - Benoit has more solidity to his voice, and was a good showman in comparison to the rest of the ancient band. I find it amusing, but your comments do speak for themselves.

  • we need a new YES studio album ASAP !!!....love these guys !!! they are my favorite band...I wouldn't mind a new album with Benoit and Oliver.

  • Saw Yes 3 times. 1 Big Generator tour, 2 Union tour and 3 Talk tour. Don't know why Jon isn't included now. Thought it was health reasons but he is performing some again. My opinion is Chris & Jon have "differences". Asia is working on a new CD(album) 'Omega', it will be released in April..

  • For Galacticadude,

Jon and Chris actually almost Hate each other. Started in the late 70s, their wives had a little to do with it., 1988 Trevor said that was the reason he left. More recent Jon has said that they are to old to fight anymore. Maybe not!! The CLOSE TO THE EDGE AND BACK TOUR, Jon was sick. I think Chris and Steve like having the upper hand this time. Alot of Yes men do not like what has happened, Rick and Billy are some. I think Jon and Rick will be back sometime. hope.

  • As I ahve aged in life (45 now) and watched this band age for 30 years one thing has become evident to me in both cases. Being in ones early to mid 20s is the most wonderful time. Getting old sucks.

    Love Yes, still.

  • I've heard some boots from this tour and the band has acquired over the new members a very interesting sound. With three key musicians and more progressive sound of heavy yes, my expectations of a new album are high. I hope soon to hear a new studio with this line-up.

  • i saw them on the tour and it was the best show id ever been to, i dont know whether they would do a new album with this line-up maybe with oliver wakeman but not with benoit david, plus asia are allegedly planning a new album so that would sideline steve, we can only hope for a new album though...

  • @colininla

I infer your comment in a positive light, think it is great these guys are still goin' at it w an ease and carfree way and makin' it fun. They can't be the Yes of the '70s, cause that was then and this is now. Ease up, enjoy the ride, mate.

  • They still sound awesome! Nice interview live footage.

  • Nice. Thanks!
