In this clip, it seems it would be the aftermath of the Red Bull's defeat and it looks like its been 3 years since they last met and the clip in my view here shows Amalthea leaving her forest again to find Schmendrick and found him again. This is their story now as they travel the world now together fighting even greater evils then the Red Bull and as this clip shows they talk about their memories of the old times of all they went through in the past and now a journey begins for them at last.
I have to thank you my friend for finally making my wish come true. This is what true love is and Amalthea really loved Schmendrick and at the end when Amalthea thanked Schmendrick for everything he did for her and thanked him for the part he played in saving her race finally showing her feelings for him. In the last encounter it looked like they really did not want to leave each other. There were duties they had to fulfill, but they would meet again if fate wills it.
I finished reading the book yesterday...I cried at the end during Schmendrick and the Unicorn's last encounter :'( it seemed like she was aware of his feelings, but I don't know if that means anything
I need to do fanart and fanfics of this pairing...I've ALWAYS been a SchmendrickXAmalthea shipper <3 (since long before I knew what "shipping" meant ;P)
Great video! I only just saw this movie earlier today, and for half of the movie I completely and wholeheartedly thought that the unicorn and Schmendrick were supposed to be the "romantic" couple. And then the prince was introduced and all my hopes were dashed. Even in the second half of the movie, though, it was still pretty clear that Schmendrick was in love with her. The scene at the end where he steps aside so Lir can do his "hero" thing was heartbreaking!

I totally agree about the pairing --- I was actually a little weirded out by how badly she treated him in the book/movie, especially when he showed such selfless devotion to her the entire time. I remember crossing my fingers that they'd hook up. That would have been a much more beautiful story! (But then I guess there would've been no one left for Molly Grue. XD)
