Many thanks for the posting. I always liked the Southern tv ident-it was a real shame when they lost out to TVS in 1982 I feel. It does bring back memories though!
Oh Oh... this one used to really scare me. I can still remember crying about it aged 5 in 1974. Why? I haven't a clue.... but at age 41 it still gives me the creeps. The Thames TV ident used to scare me too when I was little. Wonderful tv memories!
I always enjoyed the Southern ident and music, even though I lived in the London area, as it reminded me of Worzel Gummidge and Runaround amongst other programmes.
"Runaround" was a Southern production, wasn't it?! That's the programme Southern reminds me of, anyway!

@DaveyC95 I'm indirectly scared every time I hear a slightly out-of-tune acoustic guitar ;)

@sturz26 It is pretty eerie. I think it may have something to do with the way the star 'crawls' its way out of that circle!

Always freaked me out, this one. Probably because it always preceded:
1. How! - with its freaky opening theme
2. Wurzel Gummidge, a programme which disturbed me massively

Awesome - never forgotten that little tune. Probably haven't heard it since 1981 - 29 years - you're kidding me!!!!
