  • Amazing video Jawbox!!!!! Thanks so much for puttting it on Youtube!!!! Really takes me back in time....how in the world do have such clean sound and video footage???? However you did it..thanks again!!!

  • Who would have ever known Paul had Bon Jovi and Bryan Adam ambitions to "make it big''.

  • ...o zesz! zajebiscie!!!

  • real punks.

  • When looking at this, I think of how lucky I was to grow up here in Minneapolis. The Replacements, Soul Asylum, Husker Du, even Prince. On any given night, one of them were playing. and it's easy to see why so many bands here have that sound or style.

I have to say that 80% of the shows I saw, they were messed up bad. But even so, what an experience.

Seeing Bobby grab Paul's mic and fuck it up while using it for a slide is priceless.

    I miss those days...

  • @Beausant

No shit, bro. Thinking the same thing. I grew up in Mpls, but was a decade too late for the 'Mats. Saw Soul Asylum play many times, though. Great live band - apparently, one of Dave Letterman's faves, for what that's worth. Speaking of which, who would've thought Norm from Cheers was/is a huge 'Mats fan?

  • No band will ever match the magic these gu'y's had at these early show's at the 7th Street Entry!!!

  • that's the way you do it.

  • when they were on...they were the greatest rock and roll band in the world. Period.

  • @cathychhris cant agree more man. its the god damn truth

  • if you were only there. amazing, seminal times they were. first ave, the entry. fucking great influential venues.

  • Holy fuckin shit The Replacements were awesome.

  • Now thats some fuckin Bob STinson leads.

  • The bassist was 15!

  • No, thirteen. He was 15 when I saw him June '83, when I was seventeen, it was a very good year, I met the Replacements & we drank some beer, and we had no fear, Reagan was prezident & we thought the end was near, when I was seventeen it was a very good year...

  • @tomlynch42 you lucky bastard!

  • jesus...

  • Fucking incredible!!! Need I say more???

  • Was this at the 7th street entry (mpls)?

  • I love both of these songs

  • ive said it before nobody matches this footage

  • I saw them at the Hollywood Palladium. Godamn, I wish I could remember that show....

  • saw them at the Berkeley Square when it existed, they had just released Tim boy it was so loud and great the pontiac brothers opened, then saw them again get booed off the stage opening for tom petty then again the night of the Gulf War starting in S.F.

  • Um, no offense, but their singing needs some improvement.

  • I love The Replacements!!!!!!!!

  • fucK YOU vh1 THIS was the 80s!!
