  • @miamivicepastels83 Bro i got another question....can i use a different brand neutralizer for a diff brand texturizer ,i have a pro line neutralizer and a different brand texturizer but im not sure if to use

  • Is treseme an activator?

  • @TheGames2day i think i answered ur question on my other video. check it

  • How many times do u put the s curl no drip on your hair each day

  • @jayjayballa12 as needed. 2 times, 3, however much is needed. it is not supposed to be bogged down with the product. just enough to curl and moisturize

  • @miamivicepastels83 how often should i apply the texturiser to my hair?

  • @emcdavee once a month. maybe two...

  • It's time for a retouch for my s curl..had it done at the salon 5 months ago. I bought an s curl kit. Do I apply the cream the same way it was applied the first time!? I'm worried that I may apply to the wrong part of the hair and over process!? Any tips!?

  • @savedsinglegirlsguid im always wondering about that too honestly. this is not like a rlxr where its easier to reach the new growth. usually i just reapply to the whole head but not leaving it in too long. some ppl suggest that if you get str8 ends, to clip them with shears. there's a video for that on here called "scurl done the right way" ....i think.

  • can you use regular shampoo?

  • @yosefyosii no use neutralizer

  • I messed up the texturizer. Can i redo

  • @luckyman96able yes wait 24 hrs

  • @miamivicepastels83 I had the same question. I did everything right, I just took it out to soon. (I didn't wanna leave it in long enough to the point that my hair starts fallin out.)

I can tell it's semi-texturized, but it doesn't have the curly s-curl pattern.

I was wonderin how long it should be till I do it again.

  • and for daily moisturization can i use olive oil mousse to keep my hair moisturized throughout the day ..

  • @fox101able yes

  • do you really have to get your curls trimed and evened out at the barbershop bcuz thats what i was told but i came to you because your the expert you should be sponsered by them srry for all the questions.

  • @markworlding i would love a sponsor deal. some ppl do that just for a neat "clean" look. i did that once but i got my hair trimmed up before applying the cream and it still kinda worked the same way. i prefer a more uneven less structured look. personal preference. not nessecary. also sometimes ppl that overprocess come out with str8 pieces of hair here and there that poke out a lil and some ppl have those trimmed

  • @miamivicepastels83 o ok yeah that makes sense so i can pretty much even it out myself right?

  • @markworlding yes very carefully. if u use clippers they may get clogged up if used on the hair after applying product. more people use hair shears...

  • Thank you for this video, it really helped. I just wanna know, how do you maintain curls overnight and when you wake up?

  • @FrankeeSaidWhat wear a scarf or doo rag at night. then in the morning apply mositurizer and activator (or product) as needed then fluff by using fingers (or whatever method youre using

  • Donnie's by far is my absolute FAVORITE activator and it leaves your hair so soft. I ran out of No Drip and began to ramble in my mother's old products and found Donnie's. Long story short, I fell in love with it!!!

  • @princecharming8814 ty for that. i have always wondered how donnie's is. it looks like an older product...packaging hasnt changed much. imma investigate

  • @miamivicepastels83 it is very much hard to find. many online beauty supply places have discontinued it. I don't know where you're from but I live in Alabama. I found it at a little store in Montgomery. On a another note, I love your videos! If it had not been for your vids I probably wouldn've decided to grow this nappy mess out. YEAH, IT'S THAT BAD. I've been curly since January and loving it!!! Keep Doing YOU and GOD BLESS!!!

  • @princecharming8814 aw ty! i see donnie's all the time in the little black beauty places. they be having the whole line

  • if the s curl doesn't work exactly like you want the first time can you put it again after

  • @Thayoungdancer yes, wait 24 hrs (that's what i read)

  • My fave activator an the BEST around is Blue Magic Curl Activator it basically water, glycerin, aloe vera. God it's the BEST! My question is should I apply my tex the traditional was by combing back or should I part my hair off in sections an comb the tex downwards?

  • Do i wrap my hair up while im sleep?

And when im sleep my hair gets flat... How do i get it large again??

  • do you think its neccessary to use some sort of holding spray to hold the curls in place?

  • i many times do you hav to redo the WHOLE process with the texterzing cream?? Plz plz answer back..thanks

  • hey...do u know how i can thicken my hair? I AM NOT thinning. my hair just isnt as thick as i would like it. any tips or do you know where i can go for answers? Thanks!

  • @nvmeeverybody thats a very good question that i unfortunately do not have an answer to :(

  • Can you use hairgel to style it?

  • @beastjavo99 u can, i just dont like the stiffness of gel

  • if you get a trim for your hair, do you have to re-do the texturizer?

  • @ThaNotoriousRAW no, you should be ok....the new growth may need it. in which case i used to always redo the whole head by that time

  • @miamivicepastels83 ok heres my situation, ive never done s curl before...so i bought extra strength...and i have rough hair...basically a nappy fro...a mini fro... so i am worried the product wont look good after i do it...and yours came out amazing...will it work on rough hair? will it come out good? do i cut down the curls after? please help

  • if you get a trim in your hair, do you have to re-do the texturizer?

  • can you brush your hair and get waves after the texturizer.. and if you dont use texturizer and you use that can your hair still curl up?

  • @kicksman2316 yes , you can. what did you mean: if you dont use texturizer and you use that can your hair still curl up?....i dont understand

  • @miamivicepastels83 i meant if u dont put texturizer in ur hair and u just use the regular bottle of s curl will ur hair curl up, like if i already have waves n i put that bottle in my hair will my hair start 2 curl

  • can u save unused texturizer?

  • @tommy22028 yes, just put the top back on. my friend used to keep his in the fridge afterwards...why, i dont know. i just kept mine under the sink.

  • How do you retouch a texturizer?

  • @natrlchallenge i just redo the whole head 3-4 weeks later......sometimes 2 wks if i sweat lots

  • how do u get tha curls to look like tha ones on tha s curl website??

  • @squidhead09 good question. these are professionals doing those styles, and also they have photoshop lol im not sure

  • @miamivicepastels83 r u a girl or guy

  • @theoistech1 depending on the day of the week im a female...sometimes i like to go around as male lol . no seriously

  • @miamivicepastels83 so how can the s curl get me the michael jackson jheri huh?

  • Can we use gel I only have curls in the back and not the front or side of my hair

  • I'm getting my first texturizer:)

Can you use care free curl gold activator for a texturizer?

  • can you slick your hair back when you do this the same way malcolm x had it in the movie and if yes how do you do it ????

  • @john628253 yes, usually i just brush it back after using plenty repeated apps of no drip. or you can use a regular gel along with your activator

  • @miamivicepastels83 so you cant just shower with your hair out? and if you cant what would happen if you do?

  • @AFFiLiAtEz i showered with my hair out but i prefer a hair cap. well, it'll just have a little water on it. but remember, the more you wash the curl, the shorter the life...

  • so when u go in da shower you need to wear a shower cap and when u go to bed you need to wear like a do-rag?

  • yes

  • thanks

  • i find that no drip does not work for my hair.... i never had to put the cream in my har because i have naturally curly hair but I wanted something that would define my curls more and more loose. I found that worlds of curls was actually better then the no drip.. and the comb out spray I used before applying the worlds of curls kepy my hair from drying out...but oe problem I do have is that it is a lil to oily..so do u know of something that would be better

  • hi, that's cool. hmmm....a little oily.....i've used world of curls long long time ago. a brand i used to use is care free curl but i didnt care for it too much...it wasn't oily though. you can also use the gel in the tube from scurl....but i didn't like the stiffness it gave my hair. care free curl makes a product called Snap Back and it is not oily, and doesn't create stiffness

  • wat is the difference between the activator and stylin' spray

  • stylin spray is activator too. if you look at the ingredients on the stylin spray just one ingredient is switched around. i notice also that the stylin spray is a little more thin and has a different smell to it...it stil smells nice though. i just prefer no drip. i used to use the stylin spray back in the day

  • and does it give natural curls?

because I am tryna get waves

but I heard you cant get waves with straight hair

and i thought that the scurl curls up your hair..

  • hi, the cream will give you waves. but the way it does that is by extending the natural curl that's already in the hair. if there's no curl to the hair and u have str8 hair then i dont think it would come out right. is your hair all the way str8? because if it has a least some wave or curl to it you may be able to get away with using a regular strength.

  • one question

what does the scurl no drip do?

  • it's a curl activator and moisturizer. it helps 'hold' the curl in without weighing the hair down or making it stiff because it uses glycerin and it more of a liquid rather than a gel

  • how long do you wait to put a another scurl in your after you had one b4

  • (replied to on pt1)

  • to keep my hair Texturized do i need to ues the texturizure cream every two or three months.

  • 3-4 weeks

  • what kind of shampoo should i use for my scurls, and how often should i wash my hair?

  • any shampoo. make sure to use conditioner. wash when needed....i suggest maybe once a week...but really it depends on the length and how much buildup is in the hair. and also consider that sometimes the more you wash it the more easily the curl comes out

  • ok did all da steps u did but wen i put the no drip in my hair the sides of my hair dont curl they get spikey but da top of my hair curls. wat should i do????

  • just wait til the sides get curly....that happens to me too...sounds like your sides curl easily....so next time apply to the sides last and leave it in not too long. they will return to curly eventually

  • pls i need ur help i used scurl regular cos my hair is very tin, no curl came up at all i also used no drip

  • how long did u leave it in?

  • i tired texturing my hair, i used s curl regular .but my hair didnot curl , pls what do i do ,pls.... i also used the no drip as well

  • thanks for this video!!!

now i know what i was doing wrong

  • u welcome

  • Thank you for taking the time to show us how it is done. I recently got this done professionally. She used rods. she also recommened Paul Mitchell pomade. After watching your view I got the no drip. I have a lot relax hair in the top so, it is stringy . Do I continue to cut it down so it would look like yours in the top? The pomade slicks it down but, I want it to look curly all over. What are your thoughts? what shampoo do you use? How long will I have to wait to put the S-curl in myself?

  • u welcome. that's what i want to do next. i want to relax my hair and then flat iron (if needed) and then put in small rods. set. and then lightly pick it out...it should turn out well. if i do it i'll do a video so everyone can see. no drip is good!! not sure about the stringy hair question. that's a good question. i would think you could cut it if you want to mask the fact that it's straight and then the new growth will grow out later. or you could just leave it because relaxers wear off...

  • ...really i say just leave it. eventually the str8 hair will return to it's natural texture. i use axe shampoo right now just because it was on sale. lol. but scurl makes a shampoo for curl maintenance, though ive never used it. i use cholesterol conditioner cream (le kair and queen helene brands) . also, i would put the scurl in when my hair returns to it's natural state or at least close to it. i would like to see a pic of your hair after it was done with rods...im curious

  • what do u wash nd condition ur hair later

  • i wash and then condition after shampooing

  • What if your hair is not long enough to make fingers to go threw them do I brush it or comb it . And I go to school do I just put the activator in before school.

  • yes put it in before school...i would even put it in my bookbag in case my hair gets dry throughout the day. make sure the cap is on secure (or put it in a plastic bag). back in the day i used to put mine on in class lol...ppl knew what was up. if your hair is too short just kind of run your fingers back and forth through it. if you brush it may alter the look of the curl

  • lol you love your s-curl No drip. They need to cut you an advertising check ;-) thanks for your videos..they were very helpful to me...bout to s-curl it up myself!

  • They need to cut you an advertising check

...they really do lol...i mention it to everyone.

  • about to put my scurl or comb thru in today een grown it for about 1 and 1/2 months

  • good luck,....howd it come out?
