  • Good thing billy cundiff didnt kick the extra point

  • how is it that this vcr quality video is still better quality than half the videos i watch on youtube :/

  • This was my first nfl football game. I was a jaguars fan, about 6 years old. I was too young to understand the concept of losing. I sat three rows back from where the hail mary was caught. The celebration/catch/jaguars losing RIGHT INFRONT OF OUR FACES was too much for me. I cried all the way home.

  • 5:57 lol young tom coulghflin imagine how pissed he would be if that happened to him now

  • @36firerahul He would be pissed except that Brady Hail Mary was not answered in SB 46. Cough has won 2 SB's with the Jints since that time and he is on his way to the hall of fame. Poor Old man Cough.

  • imagine if he missed the field goal 0_0

  • There has only been three game winning hail mary completions over 50 yards in the history of the NFL. The Jaguars have been participants in two of them. The most recent one being the 2010 game winner against the Houston Texans by David Garrard and the Jaguars.

  • These were playoff teams at the turn of the century. Now look at them.

  • Revenge for Bottlegate!

  • i dont know why everbody hates couch he was good he just got injuerd because the line was bad

  • Tim Couch finished his career with 64 TDs and 67 INTs. He played on HORRIBLE teams with no offensive line and no premier talent at WR. He would have had a GREAT career if he played for a team that knew what they were doing. It's sad...

  • @jcmck0320 yeah its a shame they call him a bust. but i think hes more of a One hit wonder like Tommy Maddox. one good season.

  • Quincy Morgan from K-STATE! EMAW

  • TC is the bomb!!

  • what an arm on couch

  • flinstones called they want their tv back

  • @spokanemom47 Jeff Dunham called, he said leave the corny jokes to him.

  • @CorpseFactory18 oh crap u bombed him

  • @STUN3R28 ;D

  • Comment removed

  • @spokanemom47 rofl you got owned. lmfao!

  • @spokanemom47 yeah. but don't forget it was in the last decade...you know, the one without cars and refrigerators and so on. i think.

  • Notice how the PAT was barely inside the uprights? The Browns finally have something go their way.

  • @dallas3444 I think the Hail Mary counts as something going their way too. haha. goooooo Browns.

  • I'm surprised the kicker didn't miss the PAT then the Browns lose in OT. Now that would be real Cleveland football

  • 3:28 Is that Tom Coughlin?

  • @NFLization Yes

  • clevage browns CHEERLEADERS FTW!! thumbs up if you agree

  • WTF happened to Quincy Morgan anyways? I'm guessing he realized he was cursed with the name Quincy and killed himself.

  • Butch Davis has been the only decent coach the Browns have had since they returned to the NFL.

  • @AaronSmithLive Yeah it did but he had control of the ball

  • BROWNS FTW!!! Although it's hard to believe the call ACTUALLY went their way!

  • It's all the same on YouTube, if you argue and win, you are still a retard

  • Oh! first video i've seen recorded on a VCR in a while

  • @ultimateproton yeah, back when this happened live, I just had that feeling, so I stuck the tape in and recorded the whole thing. Idk why I did it, but Im glad I did :)

  • @CorpseFactory18 you did it because of anticipation that something big is gonna happen. I'm the same in a close game, NBA, MLB, NFL...etc...

  • @RegaLPleX08 I have the whole game recorded. Not just this segment.

  • HERE WE GO BROWNIES HERE WE GO!! HOO!! HOO!! HERE WE GO BROWNIES HERE WE GO!! HOO!! HOO!!

  • Lets go Browns Lets go Lets go Browns Lets go the best underdog team

  • AND THE BROWNS WIN A GAME

  • it would suck if he missed the PAT

  • I love the scoreboard at 2:20 in the right hand corner

  • Hmmmm that sure does look like the palko TD throw

  • 3:38 Tell me he didn't lose possession and have the ball hit the ground

  • 3:44 Tell me he didn't lose possession and have the ball hit the ground

  • Tim Couch's jersey always looked weird to me.. huge cutoff sleeves

  • WOW!!!!

  • Special moment in Browns history. Too bad for what it has become.

  • Right now I rather have Butch Davis and Tim Couch back than the garbage that's there now. Quincy Morgan, Dennis Northcutt, say what you want but I'd rather have these guys back.

  • I feel bad for tom Coughlin he always loses on a last play.

  • @ 2:10- He really loaded up for that one. lol This play was amazing.

  • srry azz cb

  • @CJMSVideos ya ok bud u wish u were better than the steelers we beat u pretty much every time we face u son

  • @Yorkfootball3977 every terrible towel represents a personal foul

  • Steelers blow cock GO BROWNS!!! We always #1!!

  • Morgan, Johnson, Northcutt were pretty damn good. Wish we had that receieving core now...

  • @tdiharold5265 yea he was the number 1 pic in 1999 and got paid millions of dollars to play football so unfair

  • @CorpseFactory18 browns suck.

  • @BlueToxicNitro Good observation Captain obvious.

  • I was waiting for them to miss the extra point. Just Sayin'

  • I Fcking love Tim Couch i didnt think it was fair that he got stuck with an expansion team

  • Haha stupid ref ! the wide receiver had to nod at the ref and tell him "yeah i caught it " !

  • It would of been pass interference anyway

  • Comment removed

  • Its so sad that if you look back at that team 9 years ago it was better than todays team. Thats so fucking sad.

  • @ChachiKapachi420 Alot of teams were better years ago, not just the browns. The 49ers and even the Bengals were good at one point. It's kind of sad you went on this video to flame.

  • panhin hillis

  • ok PATIN HILLS GET YOUR ASS BACK ON THE FIELD!!!

  • @CorpseFactory18 my dudeee

  • If that game was in today's time it wouldn't have been a touchdown because that ball hit the ground.

  • aoowwhh that was so crazy

  • @ohiostatebuc0809

browns what about the ravens steelers get away with murder!!!

  • That was the best time to be a Browns fan.

  • I remember this game. Great moment to be a browns fan

  • I love the browns

  • am i the only 1 thats sees tha TIP OF THE BALL 5:01 hits tha ground, that causes tha ball to move across his body to his other side were i cant really tell if he had control or not.... but it wouldnt matter cause it allready hit tha ground..

  • @Money6366 It doesn't matter. As long as he has control of the ball, it's allowed to touch the ground. It's called the Bert Emanuel Rule. Either way, I know in my heart the ref said to the replay official during the review "If we rule this incomplete, we're not getting in or out of Cleveland alive anymore." Justice was served this game for the Browns, and nothing can take it away. A ref's decision is final, and CANNOT be changed by anyone. Not even the commissioner has the power to change it.

  • @Eclipton tha ball moved thoe is wat im saying, tha ball coming in contact with tha ground...made it move from 1 side of his body 2 tha other....

  • @Money6366 Maybe, but it's not enough evidence for the ref to overturn the call. Remember, Ron Winter, the ref for this game, said the evidence was not indisputable. If the evidence can be disputed, by rule, the call cannot be overturned.

  • go watch the new orleans game against jaguars. even crazier.

  • And don't let the name fool you, the renamed Calvin Johnson rule has been in effect for a long time

  • Lol @ People saying he had control. The way he has the ball held is NOT considered possession in the NFL, even during that time. It's against his thigh and his hand is not even touching it when he rolls over. Calvin Johnson rule at it's finest. Still a good play though.

  • He did have control of the ball the whole time.

  • @ohiostatebuc0809 Oh dont get me wrong my man, i know what u mean. Ive seen it tooooooo many times.

  • in-game commentators are annoying

  • fucken luky motherfuckers

  • @jkremix33 Lucky? Do u know anything about the Browns history? Dont let this one game out of 2 hail mary wins that theyve had fool you. More times then not, the Browns get fucked over.

  • @jkremix33 They don't fuck their mothers, and it's sad you can't spell fuckin and lucky right.

  • in today's game,it would've been incomplete,back then,it wasn't,refs made the right call...

  • OK PEOPLE. We know the fucking ball hit the ground. STOP POSTING THE SAME ANNOYING ASS COMMENTS. However, the refs ruled it a catch. Games over, Browns won. MOVE ALONG.

  • ball hit the ground at the end 3:46

  • Tim Couch, maybe not the greatest quarterback, but the only quarterback to throw two game winning hail mary's with no time remaining.

  • incomplete

  • @GreenDayFan625 Thats funny, refs thought otherwise ;)

  • @CorpseFactory18 hey hey 2 things. refs are idiots (pass interference on the offense proves that). and the second i dont want to start a fight because this is what i think about internet fights: internet wars are like the retard olympics, even if you win, you're still an idiot. :)

  • @GreenDayFan625 Lol i wont argue with that. Refs are indeed idiots. For example. Bottlegate.

  • should be a madden moment

  • PHIL!!! He's still playing til this day! Him and Hodges are my fav players....and sheird

  • Make up call for Bottlegate. Pure and simple. It wasn't a catch but the refs owed us one.

  • And he down by contact when the ground caused the ball to jar loose.

  • Its an interference anyhow on the defense so I don't see what it matters if it was incomplete or not.

  • skip to 2:05 for the pass!

  • I was @ the game, it was my first Browns game! :)

  • someone is a jaguar fan

  • HOLY CRAP!!!! They squib kicked it with 47 seconds!!! What idiots, nowadays it takes only 30 seconds for a elite qb to drive down the field.

  • i remember this game!

  • the ball was in the receivers hand before he hit the ground which in all cases = a touchdown

but man that was a good game (:

  • :O The NFL's players still had sleeves in 2002!

  • Oh my gosh.... I remember i was five years old Sat three rows back right on that side of the endzone.... It was my first game ever. I remember the browns were about on the midfield line and i thought there was no way the browns were gonna win... But then it happened... Morgan caught it right in our faces and they won... The celebration after that play and the fact that the browns won was too much for me to handle and i started crying.... My worst memory as a jags fan

  • i like turtles

  • i remember this game.

  • @CorpseFactory18 I could EASILY tell from the angles It wasn't a catch...he never had possession

  • @fresh2deafbill Dude, this happened 10 years ago. Take it easy. Besides. They ruled it a catch. It went down as a hail mary win. You'll live. Unless youre some piece of shit Steelers fan looking to flame on any/every Browns vid out there. In that case get a life. If not, well, still get a life.

  • @CorpseFactory18 wow...I fuckin hate the internet...All I said is that it wasn't a catch...I think you are the one that needs to calm down

  • @fresh2deafbill Not at all, but coming onto a video and commenting as if ur a professional referee doesnt exactly give off a friendly vibe.

  • @fresh2deafbill sorry dude but CorpseFactory18 has a point, you didnt sound very friendly

  • @fresh2deafbill he obviously caught the ball where did you see the ball touch the ground

  • @fresh2deafbill

I just watched this replay a couple times and the ball never touches the ground

  • @fresh2deafbill idiot that was a catch stop being ignorant

  • that was incomplete

  • @fresh2deafbill Even if it was, they ruled it a catch. Which means the refs need to find indisputable evidence against the ruling. Given the angles, they couldnt. So, you sir, are wrong.

  • I thought at 5:04 the football is loose in the receiver's arm and the head of the football comes down into the ground not controlled by the player's arm. That is where I also think it may not have been a catch. The problem is there's no other replay where you can even see the ball all the way through the catch. Give fresh2deafbill a break, he has a right to voice his opinion about a controversial play. If you can't give your opinion about it whats the point of having a comments section?

  • @billny33 I see what you mean, but is there really a point to having controversy over an almost ten year old game? Besides, even if it wasnt a catch, the Browns deserve a break every now and then just like everyone else. They are always getting fucked over. *Cough* Bottlegate *Cough*

  • @fresh2deafbill the ball never hit the ground. So that means he could roll on the ground as much as he wanted too without control, as long as the ball doesn't touch the ground.

  • i remember being 10 years old watchin this and goin crazy.... unbelievable

  • the moral of the story.... Phil Dawson wins you games....

  • That was the year (2002) and only year to this point the Browns have made the playoffs. The play exemplified the Browns season that year.

  • Offensive interference? :o

  • @RansomRobin

    no

  • This way payback from the previous year.

  • The Hail Morgan

  • @swalidog1 Ahhh Hail Yes ;D haha

  • @the904scooby. Dude the jags are horrible maybe they'll have a better future because they drafted Blaine gabbert who's a beast

  • @NN777COLTS they'll always be the pat's bitches tho lol

  • @CorpseFactory18 Call me crazy, but I have a feeling the Browns can compete for the division this year. I think the Ravens and Steelers will have down years, ergo a merely average year might be enough to walk away with the North. Perhaps it's just wishful thinking. Fuck Pittsburgh and Baltimore... and Michigan too while we're at it.

  • @CorpseFactory18, Thanx for posting. With all the heartache Cleveland pro teams have dealt me over the years, it's nice to see some of the more improbable moments. It's always great to be on the winning end of a game like this.

  • @damodisk1981 Not a problem :D I know exactly what you mean :/ One day though, Cleveland will be dominant again ;D

  • This was the very first Jaguar game i went to. I was a kid in the nose bleeds lol

I was mad the rest of the week -____-

    Jags for life !

  • @The904scooby lol respect

  • I was a teenager at this game and I was shocked! I still can't believe we lost that game.

  • @jbmasongator a lot of weird shit happens when dealing with the Browns. Lol. Although, most of it usually goes against them; but nonetheless, its always interesting.

  • someone please explain to me why he says," is this like new orleans"

  • @RockofJazz Because they did the same exact thing in '99 to the Saints for their first win.

  • I always kinda thought Couch was underrated. You can't expect a rookie quarterback to carry an expansion team; he didn't have much talent around him, and he spent a lot of time hurt.

  • @jk08PHS True. Its been a very rocky road for the Browns since theyve returned :/ i hope one day tho, theyll turn it around.

  • @CorpseFactory18 good times are a coming. I'd say the browns are a WR away from being really good.

  • @pissoffcavsfan agreed. We have the weapons. Now we need to know how to use them correctly.

  • @jk08PHS...underrated??? he was a BUST..100%....not his fault though....like you said shitty talent and its the Browns for god sakes

  • @jk08PHS I agree with this completely. Couch could have been a legend. I honestly think the expansion team thing was only part of the problem. Butch Davis drove him into the ground. Should have taken a veteran QB and ease Couch into the job later.

  • Remember 1999 Browns Tim Couch Throw Hail Mary vs Saints

  • Had the browns lost that game.... the final standings would've had the patriots with the #6 seed in the playoffs and would have had a rematch of the 2001 afc championship with the steelers...

  • LMFAO MAGIIC IN CLEVELAND!!!!!! IT CAN HAPPEN

  • @MizsterMac Hell yea! Haha, not very often, but hey, it happens every now and then xD
