This was my first nfl football game. I was a jaguars fan, about 6 years old. I was too young to understand the concept of losing. I sat three rows back from where the hail mary was caught. The celebration/catch/jaguars losing RIGHT INFRONT OF OUR FACES was too much for me. I cried all the way home.
@36firerahul He would be pissed except that Brady Hail Mary was not answered in SB 46. Cough has won 2 SB's with the Jints since that time and he is on his way to the hall of fame. Poor Old man Cough.
There has only been three game winning hail mary completions over 50 yards in the history of the NFL. The Jaguars have been participants in two of them. The most recent one being the 2010 game winner against the Houston Texans by David Garrard and the Jaguars.
Tim Couch finished his career with 64 TDs and 67 INTs. He played on HORRIBLE teams with no offensive line and no premier talent at WR. He would have had a GREAT career if he played for a team that knew what they were doing. It's sad...
@ultimateproton yeah, back when this happened live, I just had that feeling, so I stuck the tape in and recorded the whole thing. Idk why I did it, but Im glad I did :)
Right now I rather have Butch Davis and Tim Couch back than the garbage that's there now. Quincy Morgan, Dennis Northcutt, say what you want but I'd rather have these guys back.
Too bad Tim Couch was drafted by Cleveland. If he would have been drafted by a team that didn't need a QB right away and sat on the bench for a year or 2 he prolly could have been a lot better than he was, which was mediocre at best.
@ChachiKapachi420 Alot of teams were better years ago, not just the browns. The 49ers and even the Bengals were good at one point. It's kind of sad you went on this video to flame.
am i the only 1 thats sees tha TIP OF THE BALL 5:01 hits tha ground, that causes tha ball to move across his body to his other side were i cant really tell if he had control or not.... but it wouldnt matter cause it allready hit tha ground..
@Money6366 It doesn't matter. As long as he has control of the ball, it's allowed to touch the ground. It's called the Bert Emanuel Rule. Either way, I know in my heart the ref said to the replay official during the review "If we rule this incomplete, we're not getting in or out of Cleveland alive anymore." Justice was served this game for the Browns, and nothing can take it away. A ref's decision is final, and CANNOT be changed by anyone. Not even the commissioner has the power to change it.
@Money6366 Maybe, but it's not enough evidence for the ref to overturn the call. Remember, Ron Winter, the ref for this game, said the evidence was not indisputable. If the evidence can be disputed, by rule, the call cannot be overturned.
Lol @ People saying he had control. The way he has the ball held is NOT considered possession in the NFL, even during that time. It's against his thigh and his hand is not even touching it when he rolls over. Calvin Johnson rule at it's finest. Still a good play though.
@jkremix33 Lucky? Do u know anything about the Browns history? Dont let this one game out of 2 hail mary wins that theyve had fool you. More times then not, the Browns get fucked over.
OK PEOPLE. We know the fucking ball hit the ground. STOP POSTING THE SAME ANNOYING ASS COMMENTS. However, the refs ruled it a catch. Games over, Browns won. MOVE ALONG.
@CorpseFactory18 hey hey 2 things. refs are idiots (pass interference on the offense proves that). and the second i dont want to start a fight because this is what i think about internet fights: internet wars are like the retard olympics, even if you win, you're still an idiot. :)
Oh my gosh.... I remember i was five years old Sat three rows back right on that side of the endzone.... It was my first game ever. I remember the browns were about on the midfield line and i thought there was no way the browns were gonna win... But then it happened... Morgan caught it right in our faces and they won... The celebration after that play and the fact that the browns won was too much for me to handle and i started crying.... My worst memory as a jags fan
@fresh2deafbill Dude, this happened 10 years ago. Take it easy. Besides. They ruled it a catch. It went down as a hail mary win. You'll live. Unless youre some piece of shit Steelers fan looking to flame on any/every Browns vid out there. In that case get a life. If not, well, still get a life.
@fresh2deafbill Even if it was, they ruled it a catch. Which means the refs need to find indisputable evidence against the ruling. Given the angles, they couldnt. So, you sir, are wrong.
I thought at 5:04 the football is loose in the receiver's arm and the head of the football comes down into the ground not controlled by the player's arm. That is where I also think it may not have been a catch. The problem is there's no other replay where you can even see the ball all the way through the catch. Give fresh2deafbill a break, he has a right to voice his opinion about a controversial play. If you can't give your opinion about it whats the point of having a comments section?
@billny33 I see what you mean, but is there really a point to having controversy over an almost ten year old game? Besides, even if it wasnt a catch, the Browns deserve a break every now and then just like everyone else. They are always getting fucked over. *Cough* Bottlegate *Cough*
@fresh2deafbill the ball never hit the ground. So that means he could roll on the ground as much as he wanted too without control, as long as the ball doesn't touch the ground.
@CorpseFactory18 Call me crazy, but I have a feeling the Browns can compete for the division this year. I think the Ravens and Steelers will have down years, ergo a merely average year might be enough to walk away with the North. Perhaps it's just wishful thinking. Fuck Pittsburgh and Baltimore... and Michigan too while we're at it.
@CorpseFactory18, Thanx for posting. With all the heartache Cleveland pro teams have dealt me over the years, it's nice to see some of the more improbable moments. It's always great to be on the winning end of a game like this.

@jk08PHS I agree with this completely. Couch could have been a legend. I honestly think the expansion team thing was only part of the problem. Butch Davis drove him into the ground. Should have taken a veteran QB and ease Couch into the job later.
