I downloaded this beta jsut yesterday and played it for a while. I was appalled, the thing is completely disfunctional: you run along seemingly without any collision detention in places untill you 'magically' turn up in another area. Walk past the boss in order to finish the stage.
I know, it's just a beta and the game would've been properly polished before release but playing this beta doesn't make me regret any desicions Sega has made concerning this game.
nobody edited anything, this is the first beta version of the game, it was supposed to be released along the lines of something like that, but sega decided to put delay the release one year, (possibly because they didn't like the outcome) as a result, you have a totally different game. the backflip was cool, too bad they didnt use it.
and having played that beta version, let me tell you, the game sounds cooler than it really is, maneuverability sucks

I'm sure all the Shinobi fans out there would love to get their hands on a fully complete, new Shinobi game from Sega's golden age, even if it did only get 75%-80% scores from reviewers, I know I would :)

if you press A, B or C button (don't remember which) while highlighting "Exit" in the options, you will have a secret puzzle game.

i remember that. if i remember well, the puzzle thing had the labyrinth music from the final version of S3 (Izayoi's the name of the track)

Intresting. I suppose they changed the ninjitsu because diffrent ninjitsu that looks diffrent, but basically does the same thing is redunant.
I know it's a Beta, but wow, all the enemies are a bit...clunky? I guess? It doesn't look fluid.

The boss goes through all of his frames quickly.
No AI or anything on him yet.
