...non hanno capito che con questo album la roll royce ci anticipa di due decenni...non serve neanche togliersi il capello del disturbo ti ci ha sorpassato alla grande e non ci siamo accorti neanche se aveva messo la freccia....
when I listen to this album it really feels like a soundtrack for Blade runner, Mad max, and van damme's "cyborg", and 'Fallout' games etc etc... excellent album.
I love this album. I used to rock it out in my stereo system in my car all the times. Like others have said... way ahead of it's time. If you were looking for classic Billy Idol then this was definitely not the album for you.
I agree with other comments posted here - as a matter of fact I once wrote a review on Amazon UK (IIRC) where I basically wrote the same thing - the album was ahead of its time.
Why do people hate this album so much? I think it's cool. So some songs are little cheesy, so what, so are comic books and they have cyberpunk themed comics all the time. Give Billy a break. This is in my opinion his best album. Those cyber-assholes who knocked this album take themselves too seriously. Shit, man! This is a great stuff!
People were into that grunge and gangsa-rap shit back in 93'. Pop-nazis are always forcing their treads onto people that have a right to listen to what they want. Pop-nazis want to make fleeting treads law that everyone should like them.
@brotherpsych Yeah, totally agree with you. This album needs to be released again. He was pioneering ahead by at least ten years. This album is almost fitting for the Matrix (the first and real one)
I love this album: it does go great with comic books!!! This album is old-skool CYBER-GOTH before it had it's own category!!! Cherish this album all you want: this is our right!!! BILLY IDOL RULES!!!
I agree. I think "Cyber-goth" was already created in fiction with Gibson's book "Neuromancer" but not really in music until this album. The author William Gibson himself said that the album was "silly." But I heard some of the music he likes and it's mostly country rock...not electronic at all. Nevertheless, if anybody out there likes this album and hasn't read the book...you're missing out.
@zimmerface Critics (not "people") hatED the album because at the time Billy Idol was (albeit superficially) associated with a lot of the crappy music of the late eighties; most people didn't really listen to his best music and thought he belonged with the likes of KISS, Motley Crue and Warrant. The idea that he could have done something innovative was anathema to critics. Also critics didn't like Billy because he was really drugged out at the time, and pulled stunts during interviews.
oh dont cry billy i love you.

@ZZombyWooff I associate 1940's & 50's music with fallout, seeing as it's supposed to be a 1950's vision of the future.

@DevonWhorton to me, these all things and fallout are retrofuturistic random abrastic stuff aahh anyway.

@zimmerface Speaking of cyberpunk fans taking their genre too seriously, you should see Grandma's Boy.
