wow. I've always heard about tatting. Apparently my grandmother did it a lot in the early 1900s. My mother always wanted to learn but by the time she was born (1918) grandma was done with crafting for fun. I guess I'm lucky mom was still willing to teach me to sew and crochet by the time I was born ('61). I'll have to book mark this and come back to it when I'm ready....
I've seen double picots but didn't have the first clue how they were made. This is an excellent demo! (I like your warning of Grave Consequences if thread is twisted,)
