Al you're so full of shit. We all know you weren't going anywhere. Like you would have made that kind of investment (which flies in the face of the hammer and sickle on the drum at 0:32) only on the condition that you have Democrats in office forever. Your obsession with Bush is probably into the realm of clinical insanity and is really pathetic.
Because I like the music , I have to look past his political comments, and the fact that he looks and acts like a bum!! When are drug addicts talking like they have a 9th grade mentality, going to stop preaching politics??? I'm just appreciating the music.
Al you really are a fuckin idiot... Obama doubled what idiot Bush did in only half the time (the deficit) so i guess the stimulus the banker bail out the "kinetic action" in Libya is diffrent from the policy of his predecessor? NO! you have been swayed by a smooth talker congradulations dumbass.
i love ministry..but Al J sounds like a dumbass here,,,OBUMMER OBUMMER just when you thought some musical artist had brains..then this...when will Al realize the whole thing is a scam and your president is SELECTED not ELECTED come on AL we love you!!!
Obama is shitty, but Al makes a point...its the lesser of 2 evils you have to pick,or do what i did and not vote at all, because lets be honest, if any of you think that this is a "democracy" or "republic" then your dreaming, nothing has really changed since the nobility of Europeans back in the middle ages-early modern era, the ones with money still rule us, the average joe could never run for president in the US... the Founding Fathers had good ideas, shame they never were fully realized...
I lost my intrest in Ministry when i saw that fat guy sitting there with his Cross earning dollars (to much i guess) talking shit. burn the cross and ill give him a a brain cell more. sensless jesus fuck head.
I hate when all these musicians and Hollywood actors come out and talk about this shit. I did'nt spend my hard earned dollars to hear it. Shut up and and put on a show. By the way, still waiting for Fix- The Ministry Movie, but greed fucked that all up. NEVER TRUST A JUNKIE.............
Hearing him talk about taxes is just bullshit. AJ, if you want to pay more taxes, then just write a check to the US Treasury. They will cash it. Go right ahead and show us the way.
Let's be honest. I can understand why Al or anyone would have voted for Obama in 08 (I didn't, but just because I wasn't fooled doesn't make me think less of Al or anyone else who was fooled). However, if Al, or anyone else, in 2011, still supports Obama, they are a fucking idiot and can kiss my aXX.
he's right, it's just a scam. Democrats, Republicans, it's all the same. It doesn't matter who is running the show, we're all fucked in the ass. This country is in a pissing match with itself and can't accomplish shit because of party differences.
This country needs a third party that has the right ideas that isn't a career politician.
P.S. Where's that Buck Satan & The 666 Shooters CD?
I liked all the great music Al made in the 80's and 90's. Great stuff. But nowadays he is a douche. His brain is so depleted anything worth following. He is a fat bloated turd. Saw him a couple years back at the House of Blues in Chicago and he sucked balls. Holy crap, he was terrible.
@digitizedmind That's not the first time I've heard that about him regarding his recent shows. His political soapboxing is enough for me to scratch him off the short list of shows I wanted to see, but now that I've heard he sucked balls live, I'm glad I passed the chance to see him.
I'm just glad I still have the 80s and early 90s Ministry to enjoy.
God, he used to be cool. Being political is not the way to go. Just be heavy metal, sell your political jargon somewhere else, and think about losing a few pounds, what happened to the strung out musician/artist I once loved? And where in the fuck is Paul Barker? I used to have your poster where you had your mining hat on, classic industrial genre goof on, shit...blah!!!!
Does it have a chapel? WTF is the cross around the neck all about? Jumping on the Christian death metal scene? Are you rebelling Al? What would Stephanie think? Hummm I wonder where she is? Two of my faves Dave Grohl and now Al sporting retarded crosses around their necks. Don't make me get back on stage and remind you how it's done. Take off the cross and keep working on your Ministry. Now more than ever. God is dead... all hail Logic as the messiah. "the world is insane"... still.
Al, you were suckered: Halliburton is still collecting as usual, along with doing what they can to ruin New Orleans & buy it all up for pennies. Democrats=Republicans. It's them(both) vs us.
Al was born in Cuba so he got his hand up early on and still complains?I hate drug addict no it all's with barstool degree's in self indulgence. It's always dope fiends that wan't all this health care so they can receive free drugs from the clinic you know like Oxycontin and methadone etc.Spoken like a true burn out that just doesn't get it;I don't wan't to pay taxes so we can help dope fiends and illegals get high and give birth that's why hospitalization is so high in the first place.
@AvantTheGardner how do you not know that most people would not be able to afford that? i.e. the whole reason for insurance and the reform that has ensued.
@AvantTheGardner so in ur free market utopia what would happen in ERs when someone doesn't have insurance or money to pay? U leave them on the side walk to die?
@lherman22 They bill you for the expense of their mental and physical labor that it took to help you, And you work out a payment plan, How do you not know this?
If you allow the government to create to much taxes on people for the sake of redistributing wealth to create social justice, And you think that the people who are put in control of redistribution will REALLY turn this money over to the needy and not to their fellow elites you are being naive, In a capitalist country all money trades hands from elite to elite, But it is their money to do with as they please it was not extorted from them by the state,a worker can live agrarian or work for a boss
@AvantTheGardner Governments are NOT essential for people not to starve, I don't know why you think that if slow or disabled people arn't subsidized they will automatically die, People like native americans have survived for years with no Government at all just by farming and Agriculture, And agrarianism can exist within a free market government, So the poor can live on collective agracian compounds until they acquire capital of there own, they can subsidize one another without taking from others
"In a country where a rich daddy can buy you every job, even the highest, and even if you can barely read or write" Isn't that an example of capitalism giving even the most incompetent people a chance to succeed?
As far as oil companies go hugo chavez used oil money to give to poor people to BUY their votes and he started off just limiting the free market (social market economy) and then moved from that into the other form of socialism where the state controls enterprise that is an example you asked for of one leading to the other.
If you state that someone is taking actions that will amount to socialism or may lead down that path then you did not make a direct accusation that that person WAS a socialist, I NEVER called him or al communists or socialists I said that obama has a similar left wing agenda to Communism, Even that is not a direct accusation that he is a socialist it just means he is close to one, That IS ALL I was implying.
Taxing capitalist enterprises and redirecting the money as the government sees fit to protect an individual nation and to increase productivity is an example of facism, BUT Taxing capitalist enterprises and redirecting the money as the government sees fit to bring about egalitarianism and a global word order is leninism, Obamas aganda is similar to that of lenin I.E. he has a "similar left wing agenda".
And yeah, as leftist and liberal as i am I have to completely agree with AvantTheGardner. Al keeps bragging about his vast spread and sh*t loads of capitalist dollars. I really hope to hell he does some kind of work with the poor and disenfranchised with all that loot. Sometimes he sounds more like greedy Mr. Potter than wonderful George Bailey.
I haven't seen this guy since i was in my early 30's (the last of my clubbing days-i'm now 45) and i have to accept that I'm old now. He looks like absolute sh*t and i guess i do too. ugh. getting old and fat absolutely BLOWS. No 2 ways about it. He was gorgeous. what the hell happened?!? oh yeah, life.
Al we hate you in El Paso and wish you had moved to Canada you fat stupid shit . I hope you feel stupid pulling for a tool like Obama. Go listen to more grateful dead hippie
All you cum wipes can say are your shit now. I've not seen one comment, dating over a year. No one had any idea at the time, that Obama was going to give free blow job and ass sex without lubrication to the Repubs.
perhaps al jourgensen should stick to playing his music instead of talking politics that he knows nothing about hes just a jello biafra copy cat but the difference is jello knows what he is talking about i dont see al trying to go for mayor like jello did.i aslo never hear him talk left wing does he not know capitalism has ruined america.obama is still a capitalist you idiot your a fool jourgensen
lol wake up america put the capitalism back in ya pants and learn left wing =socialism ....you yanks have spent to much time looking at yaself and no one else now ur realising ur country is the most worst off in the world infact your the laughing stock, the rest of the world sits back and watches you stuf up with everything you do and then we go do it better.. ahahahaah
Wow, been a Ministry fan from WAAAY back. Most people who listen to my music say my style is very reminiscent of Ministry, but Al, I couldn't disagree with you more on a political level. I was a very long time democrat and to be honest still hold a lot of views that my fellow republicans would crucify me over, but Obama is REALLY screwing things up, and as time goes one he proves more and more each day that he's going to make a REALLY big mess before he's gone. I do still love your music though.
Stupid obama motherfucking piece of shit , anti-christ , the leader of conspiracy 2012 , i hate him from the bottom of my heart . he will be responsible for BILIONS OF DEATH PEOPLE !!!
I love Ministry and what they have done musically, but Al needs to take the purple glasses off and see what's really going on in this country. He has sudden clarity about the world around him since he got off the smack. It's like a devil worshiper being saved by Jesus. They go to extremes with their new found thought process. Doesn't care about higher taxes? What?! What about the rest of us who aren't big time musicians building "compounds"? Tax the church, religion is already in the gov
I'm glad there are still people out there who don't shut the fuck up. Al Jourgensen's retirement of Ministry was a god damned shame. A last vestige of musical talent willing to make a political statement gone. We need to fix this problem that it's considered uncool or annoying to be open about our political affiliations. More musicians should be so outspoken.
Al can say what he wants. that was the beauty of our democracy....until the Patriot Act. now even music fans are outraged at a musician making political statements.
oh, i forgot, we should all shut up and behave, of course.. lap it all up.
Sad to me that so many still are under the delussion that Obama, or anyone else for that matter can or will make a difference. Facts can be ,and are so twisted- that they can be used for any purpose...My biggest fear of Obama is that after so many years of a growing movement against our leaders, that the people will be deceived, let down their guard- loose the momentum and unification of so many against those in power. Obama being allowed to be president only servers to divde us further.
How any 'fan' of Ministry could fail to realize that Al is anti-republican is flabbergasting. SO people whining about him stating his political views clearly are not listening to his lyrics. Just a bunch of head bobbing sheep...
@alrokerbootyjam Mabey YOU "fail to realize" that just because someone likes the music and vocals of ministry, but doesn't agree with all of AL's views, Does not necessary mean they are not aware of the lyrical content, Do YOU agree with EVERY viewpoint of EVERY lead singer of EVERY band YOU listen too???
@AvantTheGardner If the viewpoints of the artists are expressed in their music I seem to be able to take it for face value. I can enjoy a song that I don't totally like the lyrics to but I guess I fail to see why anyone that was that sort of mediocre fan would bother to watch a random clip like this and then take the time to complain about their political statements already knowing the lyrics. The man's last 3 albums were dubbed the anti-bush trilogy.
@AvantTheGardner Just like Houses of the Molé, Rio Grande Blood contains very political lyrics, making frequent allusions to the George W. Bush administration. In fact, the album cover uses what appears to be a heavily modified portrait of George W. Bush face with the body of a crucified Christ. Also, some of the issues raised include the current Iraq War, U.S. immigration policy and U.S. military policy (particularly the US Marine Corps in the song "Gangreen").
@AvantTheGardner . The track "Señor Peligro" appears to come out in support of Hugo Chávez - the President of Venezuela - against the U.S. government: "Señor Peligro" is Spanish for "Mr. Danger," a nickname that Chávez uses for Bush.
The album also contains allegations of the Bush administration complicity in the 9/11 attacks in the track "Lieslieslies," which contains audio samples from the conspiracy documentary Loose Change.
@alrokerbootyjam Many of his albums like "The Land of rape and Honey" and "with sympathy" did not contain any political veiws at all, The first album I ever owned by them was "The Land of rape and Honey" and I agreed with his views in the song "deity", I have been a fan of their music and SOME of al's views since I was 13, so im hardly a "mediocre fan" and im not complaining about his VIEWS I AM complaining about the hypocrisy of living like a capitalist and posing behind a hammer and sickle!
@alrokerbootyjam The main reason I chose to comment on this video is because it reflects a dangerous ignorance in this country that is seen in both two mainstream partys Rep & Dem, Where people side with a candidate based on no real understanding of the issues simply because of the zeal of the candidate, And because they were heavily promoted by their favorite left or right wing media outlet.
@AvantTheGardner 1st Al calls his first album an abortion. It was hacked to death by studio excs. None of the people from that album made it to any other except Al. I do find it amusing and way poppy. 2nd you're right in the beginning most of Al's music was anti-religion. I suppose it was when the Republicans aligned themselves with the religious right... And yes this 2 party system blows. I usually vote 3rd party just to shake things up a bit, but actually it is just a wasted vote :(
@alrokerbootyjam Well you should think of it this way, if you vote for the one of the two party absolutists your vote will only lead to more of the same, If you vote outside the two partys there won't be enough votes to change the two party infostructure of corruption, So either way it's a wasted vote but at leat you voted honestly and I give you credit for that, that's exactly what you should be doing.
@AvantTheGardner i saw revco in the last real incarnation that they were and ministry headlined of course. i was at the bar far away and they turned the volume up so that ringing was in my ears for three days. thanks for hearing loss. but yeah even stigmata had political flix in the background. force fed crap. being semi political is good. but everything? arbitrary then. i agree. but the earlier albums did criticize politics. maybe to a better degree. every person makes up their own mind yeah!
he may be an idiot and he may be a hipocrite in his lifestyle but his heart is in the right place regarding taxes.Pirating his work from now on though. He obviously doesn't need any more money.
Funny how people still don't realize that this country is owned. Yep, we have owners, by way of big, multi billion dollar corporations that make the laws and ultimately control every bit of legislation that gets passed. 'The House' is where the legislation they don't want dies. Politicians are only there to make people think they have a choice. Guess what...you don't! They put those politicians in place to push their interest and nothing more. Get ready for less pay and no Social Security.
wow, never realized how ignorant Jourgensen truly is. If you really believe all the money from "tax breaks" goes to Haliburton and Dick Chaney, please, do the rest of the country a favor and dont vote. Better yet, quit threatening and move your asses to Canada.
You'd think Al would have realized by now just like many other millions of people that the two party system is just a one party system. Around and round we go with the left -right paradigm. I expected a bit more progressive out of the box political stance from him rather than this tunnel visioned herd-like affection for a president who was advertised to the public more aggressively than any multi national company's top selling product.
& who is Obama making rich AL? UNIONs, his democrap supporters. & spend the taxes on infrastructure? Yeah that's done so well thus far huh? Our economy has flatlined! On poverty? WHY NOT? It's worked sooo well with welfare! & on education? Right! So the teachers unions can live high on the hog while the taxpayers suffer. Talk about a scam! Hey AL, if capatalism is so fucking bad, how about you give ALL your profits to charity? To charter schools? Or better yet, just move to a communist country!!
This video should be called should be called "with sympathy for communism" look at the symbol on the drum behind him at 0:32. Here is a guy who has made millions off of capitalist economics and lives a VERY capitalist lifestyle, Yet poses for pictures behind communist symbolism, And votes for a presidential candidate with a similar left wing agenda. When you promote one lifestyle and live the opposite, Does that not make you a hypocrite?, in russia under stalins rule he would be a class enemy.
@AvantTheGardner this hammer and sicle symbol is indeed sickening, but it's probably for the shock factor. Besides that, Jourgensen is simply right, because he's a bit more enlightened than your average American.
@LMB222 Iv'e liked his music since I was 13 years old, I used to have "The Land Of Rape And Honey" on CASSETTE TAPE back then believe it or not, But liking someones music does not justify siding with their views ESPECIALLY if you yourself think that person is "full of shit", I hope what you meant was that you side with his RIGHT to speak his mind.
@AvantTheGardner I said that Jurgensen was "full of shit" because of the slur at Trent Reznor. Jurgensen didn't even have any arguments, just said that "Reznor was the most pathetic human being he ever met".
Well, out of the two guys, whose music I equally like, Reznor seems to be less fucked up by heroine. And Reznor didn't almost loose a foot because of it.
As for the original comment of Jurgensen, I said it, here I say it again: the guy has a valid point. For example here 1:24 .
@AvantTheGardner Sorry, didn't mean to be offensive. Just a _generalized_ observation. It's that "morans" in your country are encouraged to speak up, while in other cultures they are told to shut up.
@LMB222 No need to apologize, I did not find any of what you wrote to be offensive, As far as what he speaks of regarding investing tax dollars into poverty and healthcare all that really means is taking taxes from tax payers and redistributing them to anyone below the poverty line. Most people who pay taxes and own homes can afford to buy into a healthcare plan of THEIR choosing, Therefore people who pay EVERYTHING in the infrastructure get NOTHING, And those that pay NOTHING get EVERYTHING.
@LMB222 North America is a continent not a country, It is not one government (Even though Bush tried to create the North American union, Which was a terrible and socialist idea) America should not be wasting tax dollars during a recession pumping money into other peoples goverments. I don't have any problem with investing in AMERICAN infrastructure so long as it is for ONLY for things that EVERYONE can benefit from like streets and roads, public libraries, military (where it's needed) and so on.
@AvantTheGardner And those who have to PAY for this infrastructure should be greatly valued in society for their contribution (as well as the workers who help them generate money) and anyone worker OR owner (who pays taxes) should be given that money back in a tax break so they can use that money to create more businesses which will create more jobs.
@AvantTheGardner No need to explain to me what is a country and what is a continent, I went to school that wasn't in North America. They taught me English there, and economics as well.
As for what you write, I'd give you a book by Keynes. I don't agree with him, but he writes exactly the opposite of what you wrote. And he was listened to for a long time. So stop this self-righteous crap, because you simply know nothing about economy.
@LMB222 In what way am I being "self-righteous" im merely stating my opinion, And the only reason I bought up the difference between country and continent is because you suggested that 1:24 sec into the video was about investing in the infrastructure of North America which is a continent when he was talking about Obama investing in the infrastructure of America which is a country. And making ad-hominem statements like "you simply know nothing about economy." without further explanation is petty.
@AvantTheGardner OK, I will NOT start a discussion about what the "right" political persuasion is.
Let me just talk about facts for a second and make clear that your concept of "communism" has nothing to do with what you will find in a dictionnary. You simply do not know what the word means. Not a single idea Obama pronounces is communist. Again, this is per DEFINITION. I don't say love Obama, just making you aware that you throw around words you do not understand. Stop talking, start reading.
@whenyouleastexpect I said he has a similar left wing agenda, I did not call him a communist, And you have no idea what my concept of the word is because I did not write anything evaluating the definition of the word. Just for the record I have read The Communist Manifesto, And I wasn't TALKING I was writing.
@whenyouleastexpect I did not even directly call Al a communist, I just said he was promoting communism by posing for that picture. You obviously did not read all of what I wrote, So stop writing (not talking) start reading.
@whenyouleastexpect read what you just wrote "Communism is a very neatly defined term (socialism on the other hand is not" I never said he uttered a single word of communism I said his agana is similar to communism the implication was that some of his policies were socialist in nature socialism is a "similar left wing agenda to that of communism.
@AvantTheGardner If you state that someone is taking actions that will amount to socialism or may lead down that path then you did not make a direct accusation that that person WAS a socialist, I NEVER called him or al communists or socialists I said that obama has a similar left wing agenda to Communism, Even that is not a direct accusation that he is a socialist it just means he is close to one, That IS ALL I was implying.
@AvantTheGardner if you notice i said SOME of his policies were socialist in nature, Im not even saying he is a socialist just that some of the things he is doing stem from socialism.
@AvantTheGardner You are mixing up two different principals thta are both called "socialism" by different schools of thought.
The most clear definition of socialism is: "The State controls all means of production".
That is the kind fo socialism that can be related to communism, and the only way in which your post makes sense.
But the totally different phenomenon which is also sometimes called "socialism" is the limitation of free market economy in favor of SOCIAL market economy.
That means that the State largely lets economy happen but acts on the principal that even in a system based on competition, we don't want to watch people starve or bleed to death.
Now you may claim that everyone should put enough effort into taking care of themselves, but some people are born handicapped, for example.
In a 100% free market economy, a handicapped child born to a poor family is left for dead.
But, while being absolutely 100% opposed to communism, I believe that the only halfway decent system is a social market economy, where society decides to GUARANTEE to take care of those who really need it and cannot take care of themselves. I do not include parasites, who exist in any society, but I mean people who are in need of help despite their own plans. It can hit you or me any day. Anyone can be in need of help.
Socialism in the sense of social market economy is a term not even remotely related to communism.
You are free to believe that a social market economy is the wrong system.
However, it is a fact that what Obama promotes is a social market economy.
The other term, socialism in the sense of state ownership of all means of production (the term closely related to communism), sounds the same, but it has nothing to do with Obama. q.e.d.
@whenyouleastexpect "Socialism in the sense of social market economy is a term not even remotely related to communism" I agree. However social market economys even though they are different then socialism in the other use of the term are sometimes used as a precursor to socialism in the other sence, Allthough they are both different in how they operate they both use egalitarianism to justify their need, People are inequal by nature, so to take from some and give to others is a act of force.
@AvantTheGardner When the state forces those who can produce to subsidize those who cannot, Even if it is voted on it is still an act of force, I do not belive that everyone in society who can't produce should be able to collectively determine to put limits on the production of those who can, This creates a society that revolves around those who can't produce, When it should be the opposite, I believe in natural selection, anything else is based on egalitarianism which is a lie.
@AvantTheGardner A free market society is based around how life naturally functions, If someone dies in a free market society it is not the fault of the producers for not surrendering their money and estates to the weak it is just nature taking its course, It's Nobody's Fault it's just life. To work against nature is a fight against reality, therefore all parties and movements based on egalitarianism are based on false principles, because people are inequal by nature.
@AvantTheGardner You can sitll have charity which is done on the basis of free will, And the usefull can keep subsidizing the weak, So not everybody in a free market society will necessarily die if they are handicapped because they can live with their parents and be taken care of on a willful basis, Or be subsidised by charity instead of off of the backs of the taxpayers.
@AvantTheGardner I don't know of one single example of a social market economy leading to communism. "People are inequal by nature, so to take from some and give to others is a act of force."
An act of force?
Do you realize you just said there must not be any taxes at all?
Taking a little part of someone's riches while still allowing them to be rich as hell only to prevent someone else form starving is an act of force that my conscience can easily bear.
@whenyouleastexpect The fact that currently in the US and many other countries, obscenely rich people have to pay so little taxes while poorer workers don't know how to survive the end of the month, THAT is obscene.
We have people buying 5 hummers, a Porsche and a Lamborghini while a working mother with a handicapped child can't afford the meds.
Who IN THE WORLD said it was important to protect their right to be so profoundly evil.
The culture of the U.S. is largely based on calvinist ideas.
In a country where a rich daddy can buy you every job, even the highest, and even if you can barely read or write, and where oil companies lead politicians on a leash and lobbyists run everything, who in their right mind is going to say that your prosperity has still mainly to do with your will to work or any positive trait of character, let alone any self-contradictory 'God loves you' concept?
@whenyouleastexpect in a nutshell: The idea that there can be a system where everyone gets what tehy deserve because they have to work for it and everything works out fine that way is clearly a utopian concept.
We don't live in such a world.
Correcting some of the injustice while not exactly putting intellectuals into labor camps or promoting some weird communist eldorado is a-OK.
As I said, name one state in the history of the world where a social market economy led to communism.
@whenyouleastexpect "The idea that there can be a system where everyone gets what tehy deserve because they have to work for it and everything works out fine that way is clearly a utopian concept" yes it is and that would be a good point IF I was claiming that capitalism was a PERFECT system, NO SYSTEM IS PERFECT and yes I am claiming that taxes are stealing, But I view having some taxes as a necessary evil, I take the same perspective as Thomas Jefferson on that one.
@AvantTheGardner "In a country where a rich daddy can buy you every job, even the highest, and even if you can barely read or write" We'll lets evaluate the semtiment behind what you just wrote, You're complaining about people who are incompetent having high level jobs as a result of capitalism, when the whole social market concept is to protect the incompetent, Based on what you wrote YOU should not have any problem with that.
@whenyouleastexpect "The fact that currently in the US and many other countries, obscenely rich people have to pay so little taxes while poorer workers don't know how to survive the end of the month" actually in the us the more money you make the more you are taxed, It's called progressive taxation and many people in the two mainstream partys in my country have kept it that way. "Who IN THE WORLD said it was important to protect their right to be so profoundly evil"keeping whats yours is EVIL?
@whenyouleastexpect "Taking a little part of someone's riches while still allowing them to be rich as hell only to prevent someone else form starving is an act of force that my conscience can easily bear." The problem is that it is not only the people who are "rich as hell" that are taxed for the upkeep of such systems, Because once they have ran out of very rich people who are a small group of people they then tax the middle class and then put taxes on soft drinks, gas and eveything else.
@AvantTheGardner I'm stillw aiting for one single example in history when a social market economy led to communism. I'd be very thankful if you could back up your claim, because it is a very strong claim and basically the backbone of your whole standpoint.
@whenyouleastexpect Im sorry but I never said that a social market economy led to communism, this is what I wrote im copying and pasting so there is no confusion. "However social market economys even though they are different then socialism in the other use of the term are sometimes used as a precursor to socialism in the other sence" I was talking about social market economys leading to military socialism which is close to communism but their are still differences, And venezuela was my example
@AvantTheGardner I'll totally accept the comparison between military socialism and communism. No objections at all. I still cannot believe how deeply shaken Americans react the moment someone tries to make the country a LITTLE more social.
Clearly, countries like Germany or the US will never be communist, at all. Not even close.
Btw I am against communism after really studying the theories, and it is a mess that won't work.
@whenyouleastexpect Obama is clearly not the messiah many people wanted him to be after the prolonged reign of Satan, but I still wonder: Where were all those people who are now SO enraged at Obama when Bush did EVERYTHING to destroy the USA?
@AvantTheGardner If I wore a tee shirt with an illustration of a cock, does that promote cock sucking? Obviously... you, and all Americans are brain washed by propaganda, that is what America is built on. Go to work, do your job, and mind your own business... You could never imagine what a better, and happy life you'll have.

@digitizedmind That's not the first time I've heard that about him regarding his recent shows. His political soapboxing is enough for me to scratch him off the short list of shows I wanted to see, but now that I've heard he sucked balls live, I'm glad I passed the chance to see him.

AvantTheGardner 11 months ago 2
@AvantTheGardner Governments are NOT essential for people not to starve, I don't know why you think that if slow or disabled people arn't subsidized they will automatically die, People like native americans have survived for years with no Government at all just by farming and Agriculture, And agrarianism can exist within a free market government, So the poor can live on collective agracian compounds until they acquire capital of there own, they can subsidize one another without taking from others

As far as oil companies go hugo chavez used oil money to give to poor people to BUY their votes and he started off just limiting the free market (social market economy) and then moved from that into the other form of socialism where the state controls enterprise that is an example you asked for of one leading to the other.

Just a bunch of head bobbing sheep...
alrokerbootyjam 1 year ago
@alrokerbootyjam Mabey YOU "fail to realize" that just because someone likes the music and vocals of ministry, but doesn't agree with all of AL's views, Does not necessary mean they are not aware of the lyrical content, Do YOU agree with EVERY viewpoint of EVERY lead singer of EVERY band YOU listen too???
AvantTheGardner 1 year ago 12
@AvantTheGardner If the viewpoints of the artists are expressed in their music I seem to be able to take it for face value. I can enjoy a song that I don't totally like the lyrics to but I guess I fail to see why anyone that was that sort of mediocre fan would bother to watch a random clip like this and then take the time to complain about their political statements already knowing the lyrics. The man's last 3 albums were dubbed the anti-bush trilogy.
alrokerbootyjam 1 year ago
@AvantTheGardner Just like Houses of the Molé, Rio Grande Blood contains very political lyrics, making frequent allusions to the George W. Bush administration. In fact, the album cover uses what appears to be a heavily modified portrait of George W. Bush face with the body of a crucified Christ. Also, some of the issues raised include the current Iraq War, U.S. immigration policy and U.S. military policy (particularly the US Marine Corps in the song "Gangreen").
alrokerbootyjam 1 year ago
@AvantTheGardner . The track "Señor Peligro" appears to come out in support of Hugo Chávez - the President of Venezuela - against the U.S. government: "Señor Peligro" is Spanish for "Mr. Danger," a nickname that Chávez uses for Bush.
The album also contains allegations of the Bush administration complicity in the 9/11 attacks in the track "Lieslieslies," which contains audio samples from the conspiracy documentary Loose Change.
alrokerbootyjam 1 year ago
@alrokerbootyjam Many of his albums like "The Land of rape and Honey" and "with sympathy" did not contain any political veiws at all, The first album I ever owned by them was "The Land of rape and Honey" and I agreed with his views in the song "deity", I have been a fan of their music and SOME of al's views since I was 13, so im hardly a "mediocre fan" and im not complaining about his VIEWS I AM complaining about the hypocrisy of living like a capitalist and posing behind a hammer and sickle!
AvantTheGardner 1 year ago 8
@alrokerbootyjam The main reason I chose to comment on this video is because it reflects a dangerous ignorance in this country that is seen in both two mainstream partys Rep & Dem, Where people side with a candidate based on no real understanding of the issues simply because of the zeal of the candidate, And because they were heavily promoted by their favorite left or right wing media outlet.
AvantTheGardner 1 year ago 6
@AvantTheGardner 1st Al calls his first album an abortion. It was hacked to death by studio excs. None of the people from that album made it to any other except Al. I do find it amusing and way poppy. 2nd you're right in the beginning most of Al's music was anti-religion. I suppose it was when the Republicans aligned themselves with the religious right... And yes this 2 party system blows. I usually vote 3rd party just to shake things up a bit, but actually it is just a wasted vote :(
alrokerbootyjam 1 year ago 3
@alrokerbootyjam Well you should think of it this way, if you vote for the one of the two party absolutists your vote will only lead to more of the same, If you vote outside the two partys there won't be enough votes to change the two party infostructure of corruption, So either way it's a wasted vote but at leat you voted honestly and I give you credit for that, that's exactly what you should be doing.

AvantTheGardner 1 year ago 44
@AvantTheGardner this hammer and sicle symbol is indeed sickening, but it's probably for the shock factor. Besides that, Jourgensen is simply right, because he's a bit more enlightened than your average American.
LMB222 1 year ago
@LMB222 PS I don't personally like him, but I'm a Ministry fan. I think he's full of shit. Still, I side with him.
LMB222 1 year ago
@LMB222 Iv'e liked his music since I was 13 years old, I used to have "The Land Of Rape And Honey" on CASSETTE TAPE back then believe it or not, But liking someones music does not justify siding with their views ESPECIALLY if you yourself think that person is "full of shit", I hope what you meant was that you side with his RIGHT to speak his mind.
AvantTheGardner 1 year ago 8
@AvantTheGardner I said that Jurgensen was "full of shit" because of the slur at Trent Reznor. Jurgensen didn't even have any arguments, just said that "Reznor was the most pathetic human being he ever met".
Well, out of the two guys, whose music I equally like, Reznor seems to be less fucked up by heroine. And Reznor didn't almost loose a foot because of it.
As for the original comment of Jurgensen, I said it, here I say it again: the guy has a valid point. For example here 1:24 .
LMB222 1 year ago
@LMB222 "a bit more enlightened than your average American" your setting the bar kind of low aren't you lol.
AvantTheGardner 1 year ago 5
@AvantTheGardner Sorry, didn't mean to be offensive. Just a _generalized_ observation. It's that "morans" in your country are encouraged to speak up, while in other cultures they are told to shut up.
LMB222 1 year ago
@LMB222 No need to apologize, I did not find any of what you wrote to be offensive, As far as what he speaks of regarding investing tax dollars into poverty and healthcare all that really means is taking taxes from tax payers and redistributing them to anyone below the poverty line. Most people who pay taxes and own homes can afford to buy into a healthcare plan of THEIR choosing, Therefore people who pay EVERYTHING in the infrastructure get NOTHING, And those that pay NOTHING get EVERYTHING.
AvantTheGardner 1 year ago 9
@AvantTheGardner How about investing in the puny infrastructure that exists in North America, that's what the 1:24 is about.
LMB222 1 year ago
@LMB222 North America is a continent not a country, It is not one government (Even though Bush tried to create the North American union, Which was a terrible and socialist idea) America should not be wasting tax dollars during a recession pumping money into other peoples goverments. I don't have any problem with investing in AMERICAN infrastructure so long as it is for ONLY for things that EVERYONE can benefit from like streets and roads, public libraries, military (where it's needed) and so on.
AvantTheGardner 1 year ago 9
@AvantTheGardner And those who have to PAY for this infrastructure should be greatly valued in society for their contribution (as well as the workers who help them generate money) and anyone worker OR owner (who pays taxes) should be given that money back in a tax break so they can use that money to create more businesses which will create more jobs.
AvantTheGardner 1 year ago 9
@AvantTheGardner No need to explain to me what is a country and what is a continent, I went to school that wasn't in North America. They taught me English there, and economics as well.
As for what you write, I'd give you a book by Keynes. I don't agree with him, but he writes exactly the opposite of what you wrote. And he was listened to for a long time. So stop this self-righteous crap, because you simply know nothing about economy.
LMB222 1 year ago
@LMB222 In what way am I being "self-righteous" im merely stating my opinion, And the only reason I bought up the difference between country and continent is because you suggested that 1:24 sec into the video was about investing in the infrastructure of North America which is a continent when he was talking about Obama investing in the infrastructure of America which is a country. And making ad-hominem statements like "you simply know nothing about economy." without further explanation is petty.

dorianleakey 1 year ago
@AvantTheGardner OK, I will NOT start a discussion about what the "right" political persuasion is.
Let me just talk about facts for a second and make clear that your concept of "communism" has nothing to do with what you will find in a dictionnary. You simply do not know what the word means. Not a single idea Obama pronounces is communist. Again, this is per DEFINITION. I don't say love Obama, just making you aware that you throw around words you do not understand. Stop talking, start reading.
whenyouleastexpect 1 year ago
@whenyouleastexpect I said he has a similar left wing agenda, I did not call him a communist, And you have no idea what my concept of the word is because I did not write anything evaluating the definition of the word. Just for the record I have read The Communist Manifesto, And I wasn't TALKING I was writing.
AvantTheGardner 1 year ago 7
@whenyouleastexpect I did not even directly call Al a communist, I just said he was promoting communism by posing for that picture. You obviously did not read all of what I wrote, So stop writing (not talking) start reading.

@AvantTheGardner I was not referring to Al's symbolism.
I was referring to Obama's supposed "similar left wing agenda".
Obama has never uttered a single word in an even remotely communist direction.
Welfare and healthcare, which are granted in countries like Germany, are not a sign of communism.
Communism is a very neatly defined term (socialism on the other hand is not).
Actually, the whole welfare thing in Germany was installed by the right wing, how about that?
whenyouleastexpect 11 months ago

AvantTheGardner 11 months ago
@AvantTheGardner if you notice i said SOME of his policies were socialist in nature, Im not even saying he is a socialist just that some of the things he is doing stem from socialism.
AvantTheGardner 11 months ago 3
@AvantTheGardner You are mixing up two different principals thta are both called "socialism" by different schools of thought.
The most clear definition of socialism is: "The State controls all means of production".
That is the kind fo socialism that can be related to communism, and the only way in which your post makes sense.
But the totally different phenomenon which is also sometimes called "socialism" is the limitation of free market economy in favor of SOCIAL market economy.
whenyouleastexpect 11 months ago
@whenyouleastexpect (social, not socialist).
Of course, there are the churches in the US,
whenyouleastexpect 11 months ago
@whenyouleastexpect partly taking care of that on a voluntary basis.
Anyone can be in need of help.
whenyouleastexpect 11 months ago
@whenyouleastexpect But I digress. THE POINT IS:
Socialism in the sense of social market economy is a term not even remotely related to communism.
You are free to believe that a social market economy is the wrong system.
However, it is a fact that what Obama promotes is a social market economy.
The other term, socialism in the sense of state ownership of all means of production (the term closely related to communism), sounds the same, but it has nothing to do with Obama. q.e.d.
whenyouleastexpect 11 months ago
@whenyouleastexpect "Socialism in the sense of social market economy is a term not even remotely related to communism" I agree. However social market economys even though they are different then socialism in the other use of the term are sometimes used as a precursor to socialism in the other sence, Allthough they are both different in how they operate they both use egalitarianism to justify their need, People are inequal by nature, so to take from some and give to others is a act of force.
AvantTheGardner 11 months ago 3
@AvantTheGardner When the state forces those who can produce to subsidize those who cannot, Even if it is voted on it is still an act of force, I do not belive that everyone in society who can't produce should be able to collectively determine to put limits on the production of those who can, This creates a society that revolves around those who can't produce, When it should be the opposite, I believe in natural selection, anything else is based on egalitarianism which is a lie.
AvantTheGardner 11 months ago 4
@AvantTheGardner A free market society is based around how life naturally functions, If someone dies in a free market society it is not the fault of the producers for not surrendering their money and estates to the weak it is just nature taking its course, It's Nobody's Fault it's just life. To work against nature is a fight against reality, therefore all parties and movements based on egalitarianism are based on false principles, because people are inequal by nature.
AvantTheGardner 11 months ago 4
@AvantTheGardner You can sitll have charity which is done on the basis of free will, And the usefull can keep subsidizing the weak, So not everybody in a free market society will necessarily die if they are handicapped because they can live with their parents and be taken care of on a willful basis, Or be subsidised by charity instead of off of the backs of the taxpayers.
AvantTheGardner 11 months ago 4
@AvantTheGardner I don't know of one single example of a social market economy leading to communism. "People are inequal by nature, so to take from some and give to others is a act of force."
An act of force?
Do you realize you just said there must not be any taxes at all?
Taking a little part of someone's riches while still allowing them to be rich as hell only to prevent someone else form starving is an act of force that my conscience can easily bear.
whenyouleastexpect 11 months ago
@whenyouleastexpect The fact that currently in the US and many other countries, obscenely rich people have to pay so little taxes while poorer workers don't know how to survive the end of the month, THAT is obscene.
We have people buying 5 hummers, a Porsche and a Lamborghini while a working mother with a handicapped child can't afford the meds.
Who IN THE WORLD said it was important to protect their right to be so profoundly evil.
The culture of the U.S. is largely based on calvinist ideas.
whenyouleastexpect 11 months ago
@whenyouleastexpect And calvinism is a lie.
In a country where a rich daddy can buy you every job, even the highest, and even if you can barely read or write, and where oil companies lead politicians on a leash and lobbyists run everything, who in their right mind is going to say that your prosperity has still mainly to do with your will to work or any positive trait of character, let alone any self-contradictory 'God loves you' concept?
whenyouleastexpect 11 months ago
@whenyouleastexpect in a nutshell: The idea that there can be a system where everyone gets what tehy deserve because they have to work for it and everything works out fine that way is clearly a utopian concept.
We don't live in such a world.
Correcting some of the injustice while not exactly putting intellectuals into labor camps or promoting some weird communist eldorado is a-OK.
As I said, name one state in the history of the world where a social market economy led to communism.
whenyouleastexpect 11 months ago

AvantTheGardner 11 months ago
@whenyouleastexpect "The fact that currently in the US and many other countries, obscenely rich people have to pay so little taxes while poorer workers don't know how to survive the end of the month" actually in the us the more money you make the more you are taxed, It's called progressive taxation and many people in the two mainstream partys in my country have kept it that way. "Who IN THE WORLD said it was important to protect their right to be so profoundly evil"keeping whats yours is EVIL?
AvantTheGardner 11 months ago 3
@whenyouleastexpect "Taking a little part of someone's riches while still allowing them to be rich as hell only to prevent someone else form starving is an act of force that my conscience can easily bear." The problem is that it is not only the people who are "rich as hell" that are taxed for the upkeep of such systems, Because once they have ran out of very rich people who are a small group of people they then tax the middle class and then put taxes on soft drinks, gas and eveything else.
AvantTheGardner 11 months ago 3
@AvantTheGardner I'm stillw aiting for one single example in history when a social market economy led to communism. I'd be very thankful if you could back up your claim, because it is a very strong claim and basically the backbone of your whole standpoint.
whenyouleastexpect 11 months ago
@whenyouleastexpect Im sorry but I never said that a social market economy led to communism, this is what I wrote im copying and pasting so there is no confusion. "However social market economys even though they are different then socialism in the other use of the term are sometimes used as a precursor to socialism in the other sence" I was talking about social market economys leading to military socialism which is close to communism but their are still differences, And venezuela was my example
AvantTheGardner 11 months ago 2
@AvantTheGardner I'll totally accept the comparison between military socialism and communism. No objections at all. I still cannot believe how deeply shaken Americans react the moment someone tries to make the country a LITTLE more social.
Clearly, countries like Germany or the US will never be communist, at all. Not even close.
Btw I am against communism after really studying the theories, and it is a mess that won't work.
I am not against a social system though.
whenyouleastexpect 10 months ago
@whenyouleastexpect Obama is clearly not the messiah many people wanted him to be after the prolonged reign of Satan, but I still wonder: Where were all those people who are now SO enraged at Obama when Bush did EVERYTHING to destroy the USA?
whenyouleastexpect 10 months ago
@AvantTheGardner If I wore a tee shirt with an illustration of a cock, does that promote cock sucking? Obviously... you, and all Americans are brain washed by propaganda, that is what America is built on. Go to work, do your job, and mind your own business... You could never imagine what a better, and happy life you'll have.
