@gambit7775 Amen. Couldn't have said it better myself. They'll never know the magic that is the Trilogy, the Hobbit, or of any adventures outside of loud, crappy music and TMZ...
@gambit7775 im 13 and didnt discover these rankin bass movies until a year ago and i love them . and i hate the peter jackson movies. everyone i told about this movie thought i was crazy.they still call me Baron Crazystein and think iam gay. but only if they watched this film earlier in life. if only the had. then this movie wouldve been legendary
God Bless to ye for thy are a lord of joy and gold, many thanks to thee and many blessing unto your life and kin and may adventure be forever you friend.
"The coward who flushed out Smaug? The coward who saved you time and time again? The coward who always went forward while you cringed behind?"
"You don't see us cringing NOW, do you?"
"This is MADNESS! Fourteen against ten thousand, and yet you march off to certain destruction as merrily as if you were on your way to another tea party!"
"Your kind will never understand war, hobbit. This is WAR!"
I love how all of these songs are actually IN the novel. Although the version of this cartoon I have on VHS doesn't have this part, but I distinctly recall seeing it on cable once and this song WAS in it.
@wayne62682 I have it on VHS and DVD, and this part was in it, but it sorta faded into the background I think where Thorin and Bard argued over who would become King Under the Mountain. I think that part of it became purely instrumental in the film where one of the Dwarves came back saying that an army of Dwarves had come to fight against the Lake-Men and the Wood-Elves.
aww I have this CD. It's the best fifteen dollars I ever spent. I just wish Rankin/bass had made the soundtrack of the return of the king too, that has good songs as well :'-(
This song really should be played in Skyrim when you kill Alduin.

Im 17 and i weep for my generation. They have not seen such wonders as this, and do not care to. They'd rather get high and drunk.

Say what ever you want about the film, but there´s nothing wrong with the soundtrack.

@Erikjust Nothing wrong with this film in my opinion. Maybe with the lord of the rings one, but certainly not this one!
