  • you definatly have a queen other wise there would be no pupae

  • you need to get out more

  • @matchoow2004 Say's the one commenting on youtube videos he doesn't agree with.

  • @LA33R i never said i didnt agree,i said u need to get out more, meaning, having an ant farm is a pussy deterent, simple fuks have ant farms, your welcome

  • @matchoow2004 You're posting hateful comments on videos you have taken your time to search and/or watch. I think you will find that you are the one wasting your time away posting these comments, and if you're in your room all day posting on these videos then I believe you will not be near these 'Pussies' you speak of.

  • @matchoow2004 yeah i bet your a loser who has no friends and lives with his mother. So what people do this its a fun and enjoyable hobby that doesn't need retards like you posting stupid comments

  • Do you just catch random ants and hopefully get a queen or do you have to find a queen?

  • I have just captured a winged queen ant crawling around in my house, so how exactly can i use it to create my own ant farm?

do i just put it in a big jar of dirt with some food and watch it lay eggs or something?

  • Do you attach a out environment onto it ?

  • You should have used smaller sand, and all one color sand.

  • would sand really work because the tunnels will just cave wont they?

  • @Blastin22turnips, the sand actually worked out very well. I moved the ant farm quite a bit while watching the ants but the tunnels never collapsed.

  • So u get a jar, put dirt in it, dump 100 ants in it and u have a farm?

Dont u need to feed them or let the breath

  • @ThePyrozone, the ants were fed regularly and the lid had a wire mesh over the top for air circulation. You can find out more about how I raised the ants on my blog mylittleantfarm.blogspot.com.

  • @ermah What do you feed them? grass?

  • How do u get the ants?

  • were in a garden is an ant nest because i dont know how or were to lock for them ive seen ants of 2 kinds runing around the house and the garden but i dont now were is the nest one of the kind of ants is a big one with black yellow and red and the other ones are the plain little red ants can you tell me were is the most comon spot the nest is or how to track them?thanks

  • i have a question. Can you just find just a queen ant and put it in the ant farm? Or will the queen ant need other ants as well?

  • @Fatkitty1996, if you have a queen, she'll lay eggs and produce other workers. That's how new ant colonies form. But if you want your ant farm to develop faster, it'd be best to also include a few worker ants to help the queen out.

  • @ermah oh ok! thank u very much!

  • @ermah what if you dont have a queen? can normal ants lay eggs until they get a queen?

  • @Fatkitty1996 dont think you need a queen ants, but he just got a bunch of female worker ants, they lay eggs if the quenn isnt present and produce a queen ant

  • @chelseabree123 You'll allway's need a queen ant, workers alone are not able to lay eggs, nor beeing able to exist alone anyway's...

  • @Fatkitty1996 duh the queen needs to mate to make offspring 4 year old.

  • what did you use for dirt

  • @ehsala004, I used some coarse, clean sand that I had lying around. It compacts nicely and allows the ants to dig tunnels fairly easily.

  • @ermah oh cool smart

  • im viewer 8,000 and 1 :D

  • why why can't there be ants in my country and i can't get queens on the internet cus that would cause inbalance in the oh whats it called nevermind i wish i could have a ant farm :C

  • trust me, when you have ants in your country, you REALLY wish they weren't there!!!

  • @siesiek123 not really. thats only if youre an idiot and always step in hills and leave food out ect and attracts ants that eat them.

only other anoyying time is when ants bite you.

i dont even mind it. (even has an ant farm LOL) 3 queens~

  • @izuikaable Well I don't know what they're like in other places, but in Texas fire ants just go crazy. And my problem isn't with them being in my house, because they typically aren't, it's when they get in my lawn, and in the parks, and anywhere there is dirt. If you drive by the horse pastures in they're active seasons, there may be a mound for every square yard.

And this is a major problem for my family members who are allergic to them!

  • @jrbender100 use punctuation please...

  • I hope you will make a new ant farm and post the videos here.

  • You won't find alate brood this late in the year, they would have to be the same species, and the queen wouldn't be fertile.

  • ants r cool i got an ant farm but carnt find queen

  • theres good ways to find queen 1 if all ants are going around 1 peticurlar ant 2 if it is "fat" or has huge behind then ull know and large pinchers then ull know also if u just made the farm ull be digging hole a little bit wider then she is

  • i used sand from the store9the one from the sand box)they all died. Also what if i don't find a queen?

  • Hopefully you can find a queen in an ant nest outside, otherwise you're stuck with just worker ants. Good luck!

  • awsome ima make one
