I knew a postie who was attacked by a cat and it was not funny. The cat latched onto his leg and groin and would not let go. He's a big guy so he couldn't believe it was happening and took a second to pry the cat off. The result, many puncture wounds, very painful but not required any stiches. Also a risk of Toxoplasmosis or 'cat-scratch fever'.
Animal attacks are no laughing matter.
People who make fun of this should recieve an education by being forcibly attacked by an animal.
I'm a U.S. mail carrier and I have a cat on my route who hisses and comes out of the bushes acting like hes going to attack me. I solved that problem by spraying him with dog spray. I sprayed the hell out of him. Can't stand cats, I like dogs even though I've been bit 3 times by them. Now if I just stomp my foot, I make that cat run off scared. I have 2 customers who have to get their mail at the PO. It's real simple, if you want mail, get your head out of your ass and put your pets up.
I work for Canada Post and while I have no problems with animals I have problems with stupid pet owners who are ignorant. People are the problem. Let us do our job safely and you'll get your mail. How hard is it to keep your cat indoors for a few hours during delivery hours. Think of other people's safety. There that's as nice as I can be on the subject.
im myself a mail carrier, get your cat out of the mail box's way, and you wont have problems. If a mail carrier doesnt feel safe when delivering his mail, he has the right to not deliver it.
I agree with you. As a mail carrier, I've developed a serious right with my foot for cats & dogs. I've been bitten before & it's not fun.
Personally, I'd rather kick the customer, he's the real idiot here. I bet if he walked into my yard & was bitten by my cat, he would be singing a different tune.

Wait, he lets a de-clawed cat outside?
First, se-clawing is cruel in itself and a de-clawed cat cannot defend itself or climb to safety when needed. This guy is an idiot.
