Wow nice dude! Whats ur specs and memory and ram and stuff o.0 must have a alot to run 3 operating systems at once :P also, did you boot from your flash drive with them? Because i was wondering how to boot vista and 7 with my 8 gig flash drive :D thanks!
A waste of HDD space indeed... Dual booting Windows and Linux is one thing, triple booting only Windows? That provides no added functionality. Waste...
I need help whenever I go to shrink my C Drive (OS) It moans about pagefiles and snapshots and i can only shrink it to 16gb 441mb because it says "System, Boot, PAGE FILE, Active, Crash Dump, Primary Partition"
I have 159gb 46mb free space on my 320gb 5200rpm hard disk
yeah i right click it and then click shrink volume and the window comes up where you can decide how much space you want to shrink it by but it wont let me shrink it more than 16gb i have done it on my desktop without a problem
You most likely need to defrag before you shrink the partition. If you have data at the end of the disk you will run into problems when you try to shrink. Boot into safe mode and run a full defrag.
ay i had mine triple booting but i eventually had some problems with it automatically booting xp so i installed w7 over xp to remake my vista drive the boot drive but once i install xp it makes xp the main thing and it doesnt let me chose what to boot, can you please explain (if you had this problem) how you got past it
Download EasyBCD, (Free download) and install it, in the program you can set the startup options, what is the main one to boot in, the amount of time you have to choose.. etc! if you want any help please contact me here!
Well i have tht program on my xp and i made the bootscreen and saved but, when i start it and goto boot screen, it auto starts XP and the default OS is windows vista, plz help, is it because its a logical drive?
well i get on by just hitting the power button but when i hit it it would go straight to XP and then i started trying to load the boot menu and i chose my only hard drive and it wouldnt load boot menu it would goto XP load screen, but i tried hitting repair, there is multiple options(control panel, startup repair, system restore, Windows Complete PC restore, and windows memory diagnostic tool.) what do i do
hey i have this same setup on my labtop too but i ran in2 a little problem :( i erased xp from one of my partition and now its "free space" and i cant seem to find a way to combine it back with my c:drive (vista) do u have any idea how i could do it?
In the process now.. It will be a positive review highlighting the new features, in the enar futuree after exams i will post a written review and a video review highlighting good and bad views! Hope you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching ;) (spread the word! :p)
Well, all the usual programs seem to work, no massive glitches yet! The gadgets have somehow disapeared and unable to get them to load, and firefox can't install because of administration rights! But they will all be fixed im sure! Il update this info later... But all in all 7 is great!
In reply to the gadgets disappearing, it is because you lowered the user account control to it's lowest and this disables them. If you slide the bar up one notch, you will get them back. Have you removed the desktop image watermark and the "send feedback" links?
Nice work!
Two question:
1-What is your XP GPU driver version?
2-For Win7 GPU driver did you use the dell Vista prefer drivers ?

The only spec that comes into account for running multiple OS's is HDD space. Everything else is individually specific to each OS

dude this is so pointless waste of a good laptop

Thecomputergamer2008 3 years ago
i think you need a certain amount of space for the OS to work, 16gb is pretty small anyway! Why do you want more space?
DavidtheProGamer 3 years ago
I don't want more space what im saying is I have 160gb free and I want to take 25gb away from that so i can install windows 7 and dual boot it
Thecomputergamer2008 3 years ago
on the 160gb partition, shrink that, then with the unallocated space use that to create a partition, then install windows 7 on that?
message back ;)

btw if i enter 25gb the part where it says size after shrink in mb turns to 0mb
Thecomputergamer2008 3 years ago
are you on vista? please tell me:
The size of OS:
the size of spare space:
:)
DavidtheProGamer 3 years ago
Yeh im using vista home premium and the size of the hard disk is 320gb but the free space left is 160gb because i have a lot of stuff on it
