Nah it wont wear the sliders out. I'v opened my BCF2000 and the way they work is like the have a ribbon attached to each slider circled around a motor above the slider for each track. So actually by moving the slider you are just turning the motor left or right. The the potentiometers are just the area where the slider moves up or down.

i just grabbed a white bcf 2000 online but it was the online stores LAST ONE and apparently the white ones are discontinued!!!
