That's excellent. I listen to KNBR in my car quite often (I live in Seattle), that 680 comes in beautifully. I will have to keep LA's 640 in mind next time, sounds like it comes in strong.
at o:33, the one you didn't know what was coming through but it was a man talking and was rather clear, that's an old radio show. In all actuality there was at least 4 other ones that would go in and out while you were going through the stations.
@werewolvesNcupcakes Yeaaaaaah. fact of the matter is i hounestly didnt take the time to actually do the radio stations i couldent get right off the bat. The ones that are labled are obvious.... but i just gave up after a while on the stations listed by the 10's on wikipedia of what they might be. not as easy as it looks to locate where everyone is coming from
The loud station you heard at the top of the dial (playing "You Send Me") was likely KKOV, licensed to Vancouver, WA. They broadcast on 1550kHz with a nighttime power of 12kW; the night pattern sends most of the signal NW toward the Seattle area.

I experience the similar event when I listen to AM radio stations in the night that are too far to listen to in the day. I can receive some AM radio stations from Washington including KOMO 1000 AM from southern California. I receive most radio stations in California as well as some from Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Mexico in the night.
@fordranger797 Santa Maria is one of the best locations for DXs especially AM DXs. I can hear some AM DXs from Canada including CKMX with other AM DXs in the background from Mexico. in northern California where I previously lived, I can get radio stations from Canada including CKMX with little interference from other AM DXs. I can hear AM DXs from Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco clearly with some from Reno, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Salt Lake City at the same signal strength.

@aurora990 Nice... Where about do you live that you can receive these KHz Dx's?
If I take another ride out to Washingtons coast I will make a second part to this video

@fordranger797 Santa Maria, California. about 300 miles west of Los Angeles.

@aurora990 I hear that area is a hot spot for some of the best dx's. Personally my best AM skip goes to 1070am Los Angeles from Vancouver BC.
Have you ever been able to pick up CKMX 1130am? I hear its sometimes easily picked up in California
