  • would be great if ti could detect itself what size it is

  • Probably costs $30,000 too.

  • Google Barbu Alexandru HCS. I had this ideea for EDL 2009.

  • Stumbled upon this and want one!!

  • Is there a version that uses induction?

  • its gonnah bee hard to have glass thats heavy enough to support the

pots and also hard enough to let heat through it ? I think i make sense

  • ¿¿¿¿price????

  • so baked that i ordered this

  • have you got a way to do sous vide with this unit? (bluetooth thermostats for example?)

  • unfortunately, its still an electric range. it can't have the same accurate, and fast heat response like gas. i like the control i get with gas.

  • @HerrMueller93 it might not have as fast a reaction as gas, but something tells me that it would be faster than your standard electric range. I may be mistaken, but is an electric range not heated through resistance? That is very inefficient, but because of the size of the hexes on The William it could implement a smaller, more efficient electricity to heat conversion. Thermocouples perhaps? I don't really know but it would be interesting to find out.

  • @thesourceofx yeah. i grew up with gas though. its a ton better than coil electric stoves...just not par for me.

  • @HerrMueller93 yeah I grew up with gas too. Now that I'm living on my own with an electric range I really miss the gas. But I love technology and I think I'd get this if I could, even if it was as slow to heat as electric =P

  • Came across this through stumbleon.

Love it and want one! :D

  • @jb84344

    me too!!

  • @jb84344

    Stumbleupon and want one too!

  • This is a much better glass top electric stove than I presently have. I like the bells & whistles and I'm sure that it will be slightly more economical to operate. As for maintenance & repair, I feel sorry for those lacking these abilities, as repairs for any appliance today is Outrageous. Like the others that liked it, when will it be available.

  • @r0binl44n wiping grease and dirt off of one flat surface would be much easier and more convenient that cleaning 4 or 5 odd shaped knobs that a conventional stove would have

  • @r0binl44n i wouldnt want to eat your food. Everyone gets dirty and greasy while you cook, but you dont walk around like that do you? Tuching stuff, opening drawers, holding knife handles and other things while greasy? Most dont, and therefore touchscreen is an excelent.

  • nice concept. I guess we're waiting for an investor and a prototype before we can start drooling over it?

  • Now its more like a wife ... If you dont touch it you aint get no food :)

  • He mentions "consumers" and not "rich people". Plus look at the background decor, it looks like a conventional home! It would be smart if this thing didn't cost tens of thousands of dollars... no more than $3000 would be awesome for something like this. And why wouldn't it just cost $3000? It's just miniature heat pads on a surface with a built in computer to handle each heat pad. I could program an engine to handle something like that in Visual Basic in 15 minutes on a Pentium 1 PC!

  • What the fuck is the price of this thing?

  • This stove looks awesome. I'll be keeping an eye on it to see when it becomes available.

I prefer gas stoves, but if this one works as it says, I think the benefits will overcome the shortcomings of an electric.

  • @MrIrishlogic You have absolutely no proof that it will, and I have no proof that it won't. There are no facts here to give any clues to the product's price point, so why tear it down when you have no way of knowing, one way or the other?

  • I like how they don't actually have one and just show pictures.

  • @insomnia1057 If they showed you the real product they couldn't demonstrate as clearly as they did with this CGI mock-up. They are using the most effective method of teaching the consumer that is available to them. Your criticism is irrational and baseless.

  • this is realy something..who wants tooooo?

to uz je cosi...kto hces tiez?...

  • so, how that combs work? or how good they do cooking things, thats the question

  • wow

  • im hungry

  • Very neat appliance.

  • fucking awesome, but would eat up a shit load of energy and electricity

  • @taleofrevenge How do you figure? If I put a small pot on a large burner on a conventional electric stove because my two small burners are already being used, I'm going to heat up a larger surface than I need to. With this unit you heat up EXACTLY the surface area you need to and not one bit more. Seems like that would make this product MORE energy efficient and cheaper to use.

  • Only if it were a gas stove would i consider buying it, Electric stoves are a joke, Sweet idea though, but probably costs a shit ton of money to buy too

  • awesome

  • Thumbs up if you are watching this because of bestofyoutube :)

  • @BBS2012 - Do you have a link to where it is on bestofyoutube? Just curious to see who's linking to my video :)

  • @DaMannnn20 ...Note: there is a space in the link.

  • It's amazing... now explain to my mum how to use this.

  • Very nice, I'd love to buy it.

  • I wonder if this is economic in wattage ?

  • I really really really really really really really want this!!!!

  • GENIUS :D

  • If this goes into production, it really will be something i would buy.

  • It's really about time for all of this.

Though with this system, the next step will be to get gas (hopefully something else) burners trigered through it, which would be simple enough.

  • u know it will cost an arm and a leg!

  • They never told us how much it costs.

  • WANT

  • I'm sold. I need to be checked into a 12 step technoholics program.

  • That is freaking brilliant.. I want one! But that traditional style wooden kitchen and the futuristic design of the stove is a really horrible mix!

  • I like the big clock on it. It means my wife can easily keep the time without me needing to buy her a watch.

  • where the hell do you buy one of these, and how much do they cost?

  • first! :P
