  • hey dude its not my fault some pussy faggot got insulted from the " that little faggot with the earing and the makeup" we all pissed here in canada too so think before u post

  • A lot of the retards that commented on this have never been to a 3rd world country and don't know what it's like to live in Mexico!!! Or should I say Northern South America!!!

  • A lot of the retards that commented on this have never been to a 3rd world country and don't know what it's like to live in Mexico!!!

  • Whoever made this video really missed the point. The song is a criticism of how the United States has lost its way.

While celebration shook the air, We turned to hear some shots, There's ones that have been here far too long, We think they've lost the plot

Basically says that when the hypothetical refugees got to the states they realised that those who came before them had forgotten the hardships that drove their ancestors to America and had in turn become the tyrants.

  • Also,

Then I stood face to face

With a girl that I once knew

She was dressed in gingham (the plain checker bord pattern popular in womens cloathing from the fifties to the eighties) there

In colors red, white and blue

The more I spoke, the less she heard

    And then she slipped away

    I just stood there sinking

    Far beneath the waves

The 'girl that I once knew' aludes to the refugees culture and how it had been replaced by american culture. "The more I spoke, the less she heard" This is talking

  • about how new commers loose their traditional ways and soon find it hard to accept them again

  • @Remington722 ...My son and i made the slideshow..and no we didn't miss the point at all,but i am glad you got it..:;-)

  • @baddad59 Ah... then many of the people commenting on this had missed them point... sorry if my previous comment gave you insult

  • @Remington722 ...No problem..I have read the comments also and it is sad that people don't get it..One of my favorite Tom Cochran/Red Rider songs for that reason..

  • @Remington722 ..I didn't miss any point. The point is that if you live in this country then you or an ancestor was an immigrant to this country at one time or another. After a few generations we have forgotten that we are no better than those that are still immigrating here.We lost the plot.

  • Tom Cochrane means the world to me. A song for all seasons, underlying meaning, always sadness. Even the happy ones are sad.

  • Dear god, this comment page sounds like my political science class this year: all these smug, pretentious kids ranting about how the system is broken, democracy doesn't work (or my personal favourite, is tyrannical) and the majority is oppressing the minority. And then none of them recommend a way to deal with it. Sorry that it happened on your vid. Anyway, nice slideshow, and thanks for uplloading. Love Tom Chocrane and there's not enough of him on YouTube.

  • @KartarNighthawk ...LOL..Yes..Facism,communisn,and other assorted ism's ...lol..Its a friggin song for Christ sakes..And a damned good one..Glad you enjoyed it.:-)

  • This a seriously awesome Red Rider tune! Dig It!

  • We are a diseased place right now....

  • @blairzel

90% of diseases are a mental disorder. All it takes is is the belief that your NOT sick and you will be healed.

The time for healing has begun.

Your neighbors to the North beilieve in you. Show the America haters your more then a sterotype. Make us Canadians proud.

  • @cletortain ..Thanks..Good friends and great neighbors..

  • @cletortain You ban a epic tune on your airwaves like "Money for Nothing" and then you think America has problems?

At least America has a way...Canada has yet to figure out their own way depending entirely on America's good graces.

Red Rider Rocks. If America has lost it's way, it's because the influence of leftists.

  • @cletortain My family always believed laughter was the best medicine. Maybe why so any of us died of tubular sclerosis.

  • It is a shame*. At least our government reflects the views of the voters here.

  • cletorain: no it doesn't. The government doesn't even come close to representing mine and my friends and families views. The government here is tyrannical.

  • @atrickpay11 ..It's called democracy, sometimes your side loses..Vote in all elections, campaign for your candidate and become part of the process..then quit whining.

  • @baddad59 shut your mouth baddad..why don't you stuff it shut with some cottage cheese?. I'll damn well complain about democracy if i feel like it.

  • @atrickpay11 ....That is all people like you do ..Complain,whine..Try getting off your fat ass and doing something for this country instaed of complaining like some little skirt !

  • @baddad59 and you're a fool who blindy upholds the status quo...

  • @baddad59 as Doug Casey says, "Democracy is just mob rule dressed up in a sports coat."

  • @atrickpay11 You are a fool..lololol

  • @baddad59 further, what are you? One of these Canadian bleeding heart socialists?

  • @atrickpay11 ...No..I am an American veteran....Are you ?

  • @baddad59 open your think regressive skull. There's such a things as progress...new and better ways of doing things.

  • @atrickpay11 ..Grow up and give me your opinion after you have some life experience outside of your mommys basement..Until then you are just another mouthy punk that knows nothing..CYA

  • @atrickpay11 ..LOL..That is all people like yopurself do..Complain and whine..Try getting off your fat ass once in a while and doing something for this country instead of constantly complaining about it..You sound like some little girl !!

  • cletorain: Furthermore, political democracy is inherently tyrannical. It is a coercive system where the majority rules the minority.

  • Testify! atrick, cleto there thinks himself politically savvy. Democracy is a control system. "a government of the people" - don't make me laugh.

  • piperzulu: hah, well said dude!

  • suck a chode Piperzulu I AM CANADIAN. Piperzulu you need a reality check. Do Not slander people on the internet it.

  • uh, i wasn't slandering people, i was slandering americans :)

really i was providing a counterpoint to the image all canadians love the usa. Frankly i know way, way, way, more canadians who loathe the states, then even like them. And i've lived from one coast to the other in almost every province. Cleto you like the americans so much why not slap their flag on your back when you travel.

  • I love fuckin retards like this, without the Americans we would be nothing, our economy and whole culture is based on the Americans...most of the tv shows, movies, music, etc we have up here are American, most of our clothing, and other products we buy are owned by americans, fuck even HBC, and Tim Hortons are now owned mainly by Americans.

  • dewher first you speak like americans owning lots of Canada is a good thing. Secondly, you talk as if cancelling your cable subscription would kill you. Remember 1812. WE are not Americans!

  • I'm not saying its a good thing, I'm simply stating the reality that no one here is willing to accept, and I hardly watch T.V. I have a life unlike most people

  • @piperzulu ...Grow up..We are neighbors, very good ones at that..The longest unprotected border in the entire world should speak volumns about our relationship..

  • @dewher13

Our two countries are nothing without the other. Until people from both countrys recognise this we will continue to bicker over pointless shit. dewher13 people around the world look at Canada and the US as the promised land, I think its about time we make it so.

  • lol tim hortons is a canadian public company people buy stocks no body owns tim hortons and canada would be fine without the americans you'd be surprised how many of our tv stations are canadian if the americans werent there we would trade with someone else.

  • @piperzulu

Frankly the Canadians you know are idiots then. It is not necessary to like everything the US does, and yeah the US has gone against our interests on some issues such as the softwood lumber dispute. That being said, Canada is similar to Russia, that is vast and sparsely populated. Wether you like it or not, this country is today almost completely dependent on the US for about 70-80% of our trade.

  • @totallytempo ..The same holds true for us..We are family and have differences, but you are our largest trading partner..LOve you guys, and love your country..

Have travelled from B.C..To Newfoundland...Probably more than most Canadians..:-)

  • @baddad59 Nice. I have never been to NFLD, but have driven accorss every province except for Quebec. I have only been to Montreal there. In the US I went to Washington state, Washington DC, California, Hawaii, Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Gonna go to Upstate New York next!

  • @totallytempo ..Every place has it's own beauty and uniqueness that makes an area special..

  • @piperzulu This country is integrated North South...rather than east west. There is only 2 lanes of blacktop and one railway track that connect western canada to ontario.

  • i realize this, it isn't a good thing though. Besides when it comes right down to it, the USA takes it's orders from the same place we do. We are debt slaves to the monarchy of great britain.

  • From Canada : Calling America; wake up and get a clue. Thanks for absolutely nothing, except Tom Petty, he's awesome. Mind your own damn business "america"

  • Yeah, without america we would have been left to the russians buddy!!!

I hate canadians who are as ignorant as yourself.

  • Cleortain : fuck you idiot, you are likley from some shithole country envious of the west so you hate it!

  • From Canada: Thank you America! You are the only nation in the world with balls to do the right thing, no matter what the Eurotrash lefties say!

  • America is and has been a beacon of hope for many in the world. God Bless America!!

  • has anyone heard Jimi Jamison's version it's outstanding!!!

  • Oh, I see...these problems started 8 years ago. No, these issues started back in the late 70's in Iran, bombing of the Marine barracks in 1980, 80's through the 90's= bombing of the Berlin disco, the brutal murder of the navy seal on board an airplane, 1st bombing of the Trade Center, the Murder on the Battleship Cole, and bombing of the US embassy in africa. So, we are suppose to roll over, Who the hell cares about what the europeans think and say about the us.

  • yep blame America for the world's problem even though most countries can't solve thier own problems and filer it out to the rest of the world, and quess who cleans up the mess the good ol red, white, and blue USA.

  • Looked around the last eight years?See what our country and the world is going though ?We have a lot to do with the way things are now...now lets see if we can clean this up...If we are big enough to claim the fame then we got to be big enough to take some blame.

  • america is the murderouse dystroyer of end times.

albeit revelations was writtin by the illuminati. why not write something then make it happen

  • jesus christ lighten up!one of many great cochrane albums

  • but is america gonna answer?

  • who else will?

  • This is one of my favourite Tom Cochran songs.

  • Yes, you may buy a vowel. Here's your "e".

  • @wesleync if you like his songs how could you speel his name cochran instead of cochrane
