dude i have the same car and i was wonderin how you removed the stock head unit? I tryed taking off the panel and didn't work and i ended up messing up my a/c... plz reply thank you
we're the 2nd owner of this car so we don't know how he replaced the head unit. but i noticed on the dash that there are cracks so that means they must've went inside the dash to take out the head unit.
@hectorltd On the stock HU, there will be 4 holes on each corner of the stock stereo. There is a special tool you can buy from Ford that you can slide in those holes and the HU will pull straight out. Don't buy the tool, just stick 4 long nails in there and the HU will slide straight out. No need to remove any part of the dash.
where did you get your subs....im fixin up my dads jeep(future car) ima put type r coaxals in the door...i dont know whar amplifier if any yet(the aftermarket steroe has built in but its not the greatest) and for subs i was either thinkin jls or the alpine type r subs too....thanks in advance
