Perhaps what you are saying isn't as far apart from what the best neo-Advaitins are saying as you think (beware of believing the travel reports of your students! :) ). My understanding of what is meant by neo-As that THE ONLY YOU THAT IS REAL is already enlightened. If you will recall, another well-known neo-A saying is that you (i.e. the false self) CANNOT AND NEVER WILL BE ENLIGHTENED (because it doesn't exist). These sayings are obviously complementary.
Exactly. As if serial killers, murderers, paeodophlies and the likes are already enlightened. This has become the new trend with neo or bogus advaita. I was listening to Urban Guru Cafe (owner- Gilbert Schultz) podcast and they were saying that nothing needs to change and that no one gets enlightened, that it was a myth and were making fun of Hindu sages like Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi and others. They have confused their egos with Sat Chit Ananda or the true Self. This is imbecilic and arrogant.
Namaste --- you didn't listen to the Satsang as it dispels the notion of being already enlightened.. One has the potential for Enlightenment but it is fully obscured with the conditioned mind of persona..,. OM Shanti
Water is water because u have been programmed that it is "water". Just a word. When mind stops u become one with everything, u become a source, from where everything came. Ask yourself who u are two seconds after sexual orgasem? when u will know that u will be enlightened. Separeted from the tool in your head, THE MIND.
Namaste -- NO you will not become Enlightened by asking who you are 2 seconds after an orgasm... You will be entertaining mind and another idea --- that is all.... What
foolish ideas you have.... Being one with everything isn't
Enlightenment at all --- it's another mind state a lower
I don't get you. I don;t think that is the correct answer.
There is different between the way one see in statement #1 and statement #3 (Enlightened). Though both see the same mountain - but after enlightenment you see the mountain differently.
No quite. I do agree with you that we must realise our buddha nature or awareness or stillness of mind or be present from moment to moment. But all this is still not enlightenment.
Infinite = no boundries, no limits. There can be only "One" (and even that word doesn't fit because "one" implies more or less than one.) Mountain/water/sky/body/universe - same; Just dream of the awareness of the Infinite in the "body" of the Inifnite. Om Shanti
thank you for that teaching, your deep Presence fills me with warmth and makes my eyes water as if I am on the verge of tears. but these are side effects barely worth mentioning. the true miracle is that it is not with this chest, abdomen, and eyes that your Presence inspires identification, but with the purity of Consciousness, of Presence: It is It. Thank you so much! :D

yes yes, am sure the ancient gurus would have had their own website if it would have been possible. it is wonderful to have the opportunity to have satsang and darshan on the net. blessings to "modern technique"!

Isn't the key to "enlightenment" to be "very present" in all situations?

Namaste 0 - One goes full circle Just as have explained about Sankaracharya one seeks the path All falls away into
that which is One -- that is the only Reality seen --- then
as one deepens and settles the world comes back into view
and it is the Fragrance of Absolute _--- Not Two --- Not Two. Sankaracharya wrote the ode to Shakti later after Realization not before.... OM

Namaste -- you are attempting to define and catagorize through mind and what has been read about... The direct
experience is that which cannot be truly defined by words...
words are only pointings. The eyes register a mountain as a mountain in mind all manner of ideas about it may color it...
In Realization is No -Mind - Pure Awareness nothing to manufacture... OM Shanti

Namaste - it is always interesting when those who are still in the search want to argue what enlightenment is and is not
when they have no clue... Trust this it isn't what the mind
wants to conceive it to be.... Nothing at all.... OM Shanti

Am more concerned with "gurus" that call themselves enlightened even if tey are not. One can find some on youtube (not here!)
a channel was created to honour these wonderful beings who, still on the path "think" they've already reached.
Thanking Swami G for the wonderful words.

Namaste - yes have found that having an online
ashram has been very conducive to peoples journey's. It gives a way to give them one to
one guidance Immediately which keeps a better
forward motion versus wandering in confusion
for much of the time. Between practices and rapid mentoring people are making great strides along the way. Maha Shanti OM
