  • So I am seeing, not just a fly in the ointment, but a big steaming pile of feces for the car development for everyone as they are all waiting on the new tire supplier. The tires are afterall the most important part of the car. And no matter how good an MP4-25 or F2010 is on Bridgestones that will be totally different on a new tire. Personally I want Michelin back. I liked them better than Bridgestone.

  • Sigh, 144 days 23 hours 43 minutes to go. Love your FanCasts!

  • Victoria, just want to say you've done a stellar job and keep it up!

  • I can't wait until next year! Thank you, I've enjoyed all your F1 reports.

  • Hey, nice video, congratulations again.

  • Wonderful commentary and race wrap-ups. Unfortunately I didn't subscribe until later in the season, but have made that up by review past episodes.

Question: What are FanCastTV's plans during the off season? Weekly commentary? Predictions?

Regardless, looking forward to next season's installments.

  • I don't know, what do you think I should do? I'm missing it already...

  • You can comment about new cars, rules, pilots and new teams, F1 is working every day specially when they are getting ready to new season :)

  • Don't stop now, give us a run down on the new rules, driver line ups etc. Won't be long and the new cars will be unveiled - wonder if McLaren will continue to be the king of colour schemes into 2010, and Renault will drop the pavement pizza scheme???

  • @helimeal pavement pizza scheme....that awesome...and so right... bring back the old blues and yellow. Alonso's WC cars were SO beautiful.

  • Take up NASCAR? - I don't know anyone in it except Montoya and as I don't have Sky all I see of the 4 hours is a 5 minute summary burried away on YouTube which is probably a better use of my time anyway.... shame A1GP seems to be not happening this year

  • get married? feed that cat that appeared earlier in the season? he must be starving! do as murray walker says and hibernate until march?

  • Any thoughts on the driver speculation? Schumacher really going to Merc? I'm not in Brittan, but I understand the British GP is more important than ever with the two most recent champs hailing from Britain. Any preference on tracks: Donnington vs. Silverstone?

  • @miatatime silverstone...

  • @miatatime and where did you hear about Schumi going to merc. Id love to read more about that. Wouldnt THAT just get the tifosi's pants in a bunch!

  • thanks for all your blogs this year, i have enjoyed watching them, its great to hear the takes on the race from another genuine fan, keep them up through the winter when testing and that starts, yeah defo bring back fantasy f1, mclarens was my favorite! i did quite like the abu dhabi track. theres no denying the facilities are great etc as is true of other new tracks that are a bit bland. but nothing beats cars blasting through the countryside in eg hokkenheim

  • as a tv viewer thats what i want to see not how good the corporate facilites are and how close the hotel is to the circuit. imo there should be more rotation of tracks in the calander, iv always thought the european gp should be at a different track each year although i suppose because of the huge money involved that wont happen as circuits will want a long term contract. it would be criminal to sack silverstone, the government should invest there instead of the ridiculous olympics!

  • You're cute in a Stevie Nicks/Nana Maskouri kind of way, nah wot I mean??

  • sad news regarding toyota this morning:(

  • I never said that Vettel makes no errors either (he at least knows a red light when he sees one though) but when did we last see Alonso or Schu make a dumb mistake? Most champs do, but Hamilton is by no means among the very best. And don't even get me started on 2007, because let's remember McLaren had an illegal car that was only allowed to compete for the drivers' title because of Bernie Ecclestone's pressure on Max Mosley to not disrupt the title fight.

  • Are you still rattling on about that "illegal car" bullshit? They didnt have an illegal car (the data was never used) so stop talking out of ur arse. Maybe you should get your facts straight instead of your constant whinges about Hamilton. Mclaren had an illegal car at the beginning on 2008 (before the season started) as the FIA deemed some of the aero parts on the car as being slightly similar to those on Ferrari's car.

Having said that, Ferrari also had an illegal car at the start of 2009.

  • The exhaust outlets on the F60 did have to be revised yes but they did comply with the very first set of issued rules by the FIA for the 2009 season ... 's hardly the same thing as stealing 780 pages of data. It was the opinion of Max Mosley and most F1 team bosses that McLaren should not have been allowed to contest the 2007 drivers championship; only Bernie's pressure that allowed them to. And unless you're secretly Ron Dennis, how the hell do you know no data was used?

  • Who stole Ferrari data? You keep pulling shit out of ur arse, basing ur opinion on Mclarens car being illegal as being the genaral opinion of most of the bosses on the grid. Did you interview them all? Were you at the FIA hearing where it was proved that Mclaren had an illegal car? No you weren't, and there was never any suggestion that the data was used, the Mclaren was a competitive car before the data was passed on, and nothing suggests they improved once they had the data so get over it.

  • Hamilton never really pulled away from Vettel (due to his brake problem or whatever); Vettel would have at least taken him in 2nd round of stops. And I never denied that Red Bull had a stronger car, but oh poor Hamilton for having an uncompetitive car for once! And by your apparent logic that results should be adjusted for how good the car is Hamilton would not have been 08 champ; if the F2008 was as reliable and fast in the wet as the MP4-23 then Massa would be champ (and yes Spa was fair).

  • Lmao, how biased are you? Only a dumbass would deem a penalty, based on a rule that didn't even exist until 1 week after the incident, as being fair. Unfortunately, narrow minded haters will never accept the fact that Hamilton won the championship because he is the best driver, and many will also never accept that he would have won it as a rookie if it wasn't for the hydraulic failure in the final race.

  • Hamilton is a very good driver... there, I said it! I dislike his personality (not relevant) but his diving I report as I see. I was so upset after the Spa race because his move had dirty written all over it (he barely gave back the lead and still had the advantegous line). And the FIA issued only 'clarification', not a new rule the next week. And forgive me for ranting no about this, but the "best driver" should know a damn red light when he sees one! You can't defend that.

  • LOL @ "had dirty written all over it", thats only in ur bitter and biased opinion. There was NOTHING in the rules that said Hamilton couldn't overtake immediately, and as for "barely giving the place back"... he either did or he didn't, and as telemetry proved, and the fact that he went behind Kimi's car.... he DID give back the advantage. As for it being a clarification, they RE-WROTE the rule, I shall even paste them all in the next few minutes for the benefit of your ignorance.

  • I really can't be f*cked to be honest... feel free to consider yourself having won this little debate.

  • i like these new tracks but i do wish they gone someone else to design them! the same bloke does all of them and they all end up very similar. but they are good.

  • He only gapped everyone due to his lack of experience and pushing to hard on inters. hence why he burned them out. just one of them things. but it was his own doing. but he has learned massively since then. but it was his error

there was no brake test. fernando was on the inside line and was making lewis go the long way round. and lewis was going for a gap that wasnt there. just racing. fernando wasnt going to make his life easy was he! they were fighting for a title

  • Agree, a bit of an underwhelming race, not sure about the new Abu Dhabi circuit ?, to clinical ?, rather ....false, the place just has no soul, in NO way, shape or form can it compare to the great circuits such as Silverstone, Spa, Nurburgring, Monza etc etc, oil money can't buy everything !.

Thanks for sharing your views and opinions throughout the 09 F1 season Victoria, I, and am sure many others have enjoyed tuning into your broadcasts regularly, thank you.

  • What makes you so sure that Vettel was pushing? He had no reason to, because McLaren's crappy brakes made his job easy (I believe he was due to jump Hamilton in pit stops anyway). That is the difference with Hamilton, who pushes when he doesn't need to and makes stupid mistakes (China 07, Brazil 07, Japan 08, Monza 09 to name a few). The only thing Hamilton blitzed in Abu Dhabi was qualifying (when he was lighter than the Red Bulls).

And calling Kimi 'Kimberly'? Real mature...

  • I don't think so, because Hamilton would have done something stupid; the underground pit lane exit would have confused him and he would have crashed, and we all know Hamilton's record when it comes to hitting stationary things at the end of a pitlane. I mean, we all thought he was good for a podium in Monza, what kind of world champion drives like that?

  • It is true, if it wasnt such a good track this last race would have been of little interest. As for your video posts, im sure we all aprechiate your interest and commitment. I always enjoy new tracks on the grid as long as they keep shuffling around the lineup, it will keep things interesting. Im quite interested to see what driver changes come about, really hoping on Raikkonen and Hamilton at Mclaren for 2010. Hope you keep posting about updates. =D

  • Just when I was getting used to the look of the new cars, they will change again next year to accommodate the larger fuel cells. Thanks for these fun videos that I looked forward to after every race, brought on by the most beautiful F1 fan in the world today.

  • hi . . I think that the track looks great . . . its that if the older tracks need slight tweaks to make them work and suit for the future or otherwise no british gp?!!!!

anyway I have enjoyed watching you ever the past months cheers and c u soon!!!!!

  • hi,i went to the abu dhabi grand prix,it was the first time i attend a formula one race.i was really impressed the cars are just amazing and the track is great! but the race was not as intense as i thought, wich is a shame i hope next year we wont know who the winner is until the final race! i also heard that alonso might join ferrari is that true?

  • Kobayashi man of the race nuff said....

fisco shud never hav went to ferrari luca badoer shud of stayed!

  • Jean Todt did not leave Ferrari on good terms so he will do them no favours, and I am glad he won because he will do a good job and Vatanen has done nothing but b*tch his entire campaign. Abu Dhabi is a great track, the 90-degree corners and long straights remind me of Adelaide. I also agree traditional venues (Monza, Monaco etc) are important but personally I think Silverstone is overrated (flame away). Kovy deserves another shot because McLaren treated him worse than Renault did. Good job!

  • Kimi Raikkonen is worth the money fastest man in f1 given the right car and i hope he is at mclaren next year would love to see him win the title and beat ferrari and team mate Hamilton ... button no chance of defending his crown

  • Agreed... McLaren wasted Kimi's talent for 5 years but I would love to see him destroy Hamilton's reputation. However my loyalty for Kimi followed to Ferrari but it's staying there... it's time for Massa to seal the job.

  • Well done on your post race vlogs! I have enjoyed hearing your over-views of the races and your own personal opinions. Look forward to seeing you again in 2010!

  • Thank you. Please do some reports over the winter. If I find any news i will pass it along.

  • I think Abu Dhabi made a great job finishing this track in 2 years !

  • See ya next year. Got this feeling Kobayashi will become pretty high-ranking driver then.

  • its been really cool listening to you all this year. its nice for me to see a woman actually talk this passionately, cleverly and so well informed about formula one. in a way its attractive. congratulations and thankyou again.

  • The track is Amazing its Artifical and the Structure of the Circuit is a Beauty

  • Button is Kobayashi's bich. ;-)

Great pass by the rookie on the WDC.

I found the Brawn domination a little boring at the start of the season, but the

2nd half of the season was very entertaining.

  • this season has gone too quickly

  • Great as always, and thanks for taking the time and putting as much info in to your videos as possible, thanks for your vids in 2009 and look forward to 2010 :)

  • 800 million for the track, 800 million for the hotel, crazy. Donnington only needed 125 million for f1 next year.

    different levels i think.

  • Hamilton had a break problem from the start. Vettel didn't have to really fight that hard for the race.

  • Last lap with Button and Webber was superb! had me on edge of my seat. Great end to the season, looking forward to 2010.

  • its been one vintage season, I really enjoyed todays race as did JB with all the pressure off of him. no refueling will really be the major impact of strategy next season.good work on your race reports for 09, look forward next season.

  • Can't believe the season is already over... but great last race, RB gave Brawn shit!

I so wish RB will get Mercedes engines for next season, then the Germany-Austria dream team will show you Brits what we can do! :D

  • yeah Rubens was always '2nd' driver besided his abilities and experience

now atleast he'll be lead driver but sadly no mercedes power for him as Williams confirmed cosworth deal

  • its over the boring season starts i only wish that their was a better racing channel than speed tv. hey that kabayashi guy gave button a run for his money . haha nice!

  • I dont know how many wud agree with me but i found it a boring - apart from few cases there was no action

    the venue is great....track isnt

  • Great season. :D Thanks for your videos, enjoyed them :D
