I think Oswald been known as a "lucky rabbit" because rabbit is the symbol for good luck, love, fertility and vigilance. I guess Walt Disney just puts "lucky" because rabbits are a symbol of good luck.
If I may, I think you should check out the "Epic Mickey Files: Oswald the Lucky Rabbit" video by ElectricDragon505. It's nicely-done video and talks about Oswald's history, as well as his role in "Epic Mickey", in greater detail.
I would post the direct link, but the site won't allow it, for some reason.
i dont think hes lucky because if disney wouldnt have lost him to charles mintz he would have been in the first sound cartoon and be as famus and beloved as mickey
Oswald is extremely lucky! After Lantz gave up on Oswald, he was pretty much doomed to be forgotten. However, Disney did have plans to get Oswald back. There was only one problem: Universal refused to work with Michael Eisner.
So, after Eisner's dismissal, Bob Iger, the new CEO of Disney, made a deal with NBC Universal to trade Al Michaels to them in exchange for Oswald.
Unlike many famous stars of the period, Oswald was able to survive and become a favorite once again. Talk about lucky!
Well, of course I think he's lucky, I mean, he calls his feet lucky and despite getting into a heap of trouble, he gets out of it in a lucky way. I guess. Plus, he's really good at horse shoes. REALLY good.
What do you mean that's it?! Like, permanentl-oh. Once in a while. You scared me there. So after the next one, how soon do you guess that you can make another vid? Technically, Charles Mintz stole Walt from the whole contract loopholes. After that Mickey came along, and the rest is history.

Does Kingdom Hearts count as them touching Snow White? Since they didn't totally change her story just added Ventus.
